Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces, depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm deep and area not exceeding 400 sqm all as specified and directed.

150mm thick (spread thickness) soling (or sub base) with broken boulders or quarried stones (lime stone, sand stone, flint or quartzite) of size range 90 to 63mm, deposited, spread, levelled in one layer, interstices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with 10 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed.

Water bound macaadam 150mm thick (Compacted thickness) laid in two layers of 75mm thick each layer with coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size or of grading 3 (50 mm to 20 mm size) using granite, trap or basalt stone of best quality locally available spread and rolled with 10 to 12 tonnes power roller, each layer will be consolidated separately and to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified.

Repair to pot holes any depth not exc. 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, path etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) at 5 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 25mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using crushed stone aggregate rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) at 10 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using 20mm crushed stone aggregate rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) at 5 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using 20mm crushed stone aggregate rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note for Serial Item No 4 to 6:- Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be mixed in hot mix plant, transported and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller. Paving bitumen shall not be issued under Sch 'B'.

Moorum/ red bajri filling in floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including watering, complete all as specified and directed.

Continuous brick edging with width equal to the width of the brick; laid dry on end vertically complete including demolitioning/ taking out old unservicable bricks all as specified and directed. Note:- Excavation and earth work including removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metres from starting point shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted by tenderer.

Marking lines, dashes, arrows etc of width 10 cms on black top/ concrete surfaces of road using hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint 2.5 mm thick (white/ gold, yellow) mixed with radium glass beads @ 250gm/ Sqm with automatic machine to provide reflectivity and night vision (approx temp being 200°C at the time of laying) including cleaning the surface of all dirt, dust and other foreign material complete all as per all as per MOST clause 803.4 and BS 6068 and as directed. Note:- Road marking lines at the centre of road shall not be continuous, whereas the lines at outer sides of road shall be continuous i.e in one length.

Demolition of cement concrete (Reinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and directed.

Hard core of broken stone or boulders of gauge not exc. 63mm deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exc. 15cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface, all as specified.

100 mm thick plain cement concrete M-10 (Nominal mix) type C-2 (using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in foundations/ sub base or in mass filling all as specified and directed.

100 mm thick plain cement concrete M-7.5 (Nominal mix) type D-2 (using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in foundations/ sub base or in mass filling all as specified and directed.

100 mm thick plain quality concrete work in pavement/ hard standing of flexural strength 40 kg/ per square centimetre in field using 400 kg of cement per cubic metre, thickness of concrete 10 cms, complete all as specified. Forming contraction (Dummy) joint 65mm deep x 10mm wide as the work proceeds in alternative ways and filled with sealing compound grade 'A' after priming with primer for grade 'A' sealing compound , complete all as specified.

Forming Construction joint 30mm deep x 10mm wide as the work proceeds in alternative ways and filled with sealing compound grade 'A' after priming with primer for grade 'A' sealing compound , complete all as specified.
