PAINTING TO RUNWAY AND CERTAIN REPAIR WORK IN TECHNICAL AREA AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH UNDER GE (AF) CHANDIGARH

Material and labour for painting one coat of water based paint after preparation of old surfaces as per manufacturer's instructions for making lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc. on bituminous/ concrete roads, pavement, runways and other similar surfaces exc. 10 cm width or girth, with road marking paint/ traffic paint (water based) conforming to the requirements of IS-164 (1981) thickness in micron not less than 50 micron, white or golden yellow or any other shade approved by GE/Users by using air less spray machine Graco line 3900 with two guns and the maximum GPM (LPM) : 160 (6.0) PSI (Bar) 3300 (227) Engine CC (HP) 120 CC and maximum tip size : 0.029, complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for Water Born Paint (WBP) having DFT 240 micron thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade / colour using by fully/ semi automatic paint applicator machine ( using cold airless spray / striper machine with minimum two spray gun) including application of Drop on glass beads driven by experienced operator on road surfaces including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc complete and accordance with applicable specification on bitumenus surfaces / concrete by using air less spray machine colour of paint shall be white / yellow / Black / Red or any colour as approved by GE/Users on Taxiway / Dispersal markings exceeding 10 cm width or girth as per recommended dimension, application of the paint by Machine Graco line lazer 3900 with 2 guns and the maximum GPM(LPM) : 160 (6.0) PSI (Bar) - 3300 (227), Engine CC (hp) 120 cc and maximum tip size : 0.029, complete all as specified and directed. Note for item No 1 & 2: The work will be carried out by authorized applicator of Manufacture/Company as approved by the GE.

Material & labour for dummy joint repair/ replacement in old concrete pavement by Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pacing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafte filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 8 mm dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875- 2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30%.Complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for construction joint repair/ replacement in old concrete pavement by Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris . Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pouring the sealant Thereafter filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 12 mm dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30%. Complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for expansion joint repair/ replacement in old concrete pavement by Racking out of old existing sealant compound, back up rod and filler board of the existing joints by special tools like racker/cutting blades/machines , widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified , over it filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia for complete length of the joint. Finally filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor MAF of +/- 30%.Complete all as specified and directed.

De-silting of drain at depth upto 1.50 metre by rough excavation for cleaning existing drain and getting out in muddy soil including cutting small bushes, small trees girth not exceeding 30 cm from sides of brick lined drain, including removing excavated materials exceeding 50 metre but not exceeding 250 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above from the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

De-silting of drain at depth from 1.50m to 3.00 m by rough excavation for cleaning existing drain and getting out in muddy soil including cutting small bushes, small trees girth not exceeding 30 cm from sides of brick lined drain, including removing excavated materials exceeding 50 metre but not exceeding 250 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above from the starting point , complete all as specified and directed.

Surface derssing /Grass scraping not exceeding 15 cm deep and getting out in soft / loose soil along the runway shoulder including grass vegetation, shrubs and earth work from the edge of runway, taxiway, surrounding blast pans or similar work complete all as specified and directed. and removing the rubbish taken from the site and leaving out side of MoD land, complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and operating two Tractors (with driver) with Jungle Jim for removal of grass shrubs / vegetation, scraping / cutting or ploughing with harrow/ cultivator) on requirements basis (within 48 hrs of notice / demand) including two casual labours / day for removing the rubbish from site to out side MoD land complete all as specified and directed. Note: (I) Providing and operating two tractors with jungle Jims alongwith drivers including two labourers shall be measured as one unit i.e one Hour. (II). In case only one tractor (with driver with jungle jims and one labour is required and deployed, the payment under this item shall be reduced by 50% i.e half unit shall be considered against one hour working.

Providing and operating two Bush cutter (with operator) with Bush cutter Blade for grass shrubs / Vegetation scraping / cutting on requirement basis (within 48 Hrs of notice / demand) and Two casual labour / day for removing the rubbish from the outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed.
