REPAIR TO ROAD, PAINTING OF ROAD AND REPLACEMENT OF ROAD FURNITURE ETC AT AF STATION HIGH GROUND UNDER GE (AF) CHANDIGARH

Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces, area exceeding 400Sqm, depth exceeding 50mm and n.exc 100mm deep, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Rate quoted by contractor shall be deemed to include for removal of rubbish as directed outside MoD land.

Material & Labour, Water bound Macadam (WBM) 75mm thick (Compacted thickness), with coarse stone aggregates (granite, trap or basalt) of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required with 8-10 ton power road roller, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for repair to pot holes, depth exceeding 30mm and area not exceeding 1.0sqm each, including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces of road, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying paving bitumen (VG-10) @ 5kg per ten sqm putting in premixed bitumen macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8Kg/10Sqm blinded with 0.09cum of stone chipping 6.3mm size and again well rammed / rolled to uniform smooth surface, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, premixed bituminous macadam using paving bitumen (VG-30 grade) @ 5% by weight of total mix using 12 to 25mm graded crushed preheated stone aggregate, laid, rolled and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to required gradient & camber, consolidated thickness 75mm or less, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dust & dirt etc. including draining off water if any from pot holes and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen (VG-10 grade) @5Kg/10Sqm with mechanical sprayer on black top surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparing unsurfaced water bound macadem surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dust & dirt etc. including draining off water if any from pot holes and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen (VG-10 grade) @ 10Kg per 10 Sqm with mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm thick consolidated thickness, using combined graded aggregate i.e. crushed stone coarse aggregate, fine aggregate (sand) & filler (inherent filler/OPC 43 grade) of physical properties as specified and as per table given (to refer SSR Part-I of 2009), pre-heated mixed with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using VG-30 grade bitumen, laid with mechanical paver, rolled & compacted to a uniform smooth surface with 8 to 10 tonne power road roller, complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Thickness of semi dense asphaltic concrete and quantities of materials as mentioned in particular specifications/SSR are the minimum. The quoted rate shall also be deemed to include for provision of more materials in comparison to those mentioned/specified in the item, if required, to achieve the required level, gradient, camber and shape all as directed by the GE. (ii) Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing stone and fine aggregate and binder (bitumen) and semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver all as directed by the GE. (iii) Contractor’s quoted rates shall be deemed to include all these aspects.

Material and labour, painting 2mm thick of thermoplast fluorescent paint colour white or golden yellow or any other shade conforming to BS standard 3262 with 20% glass beads (inter mixed) applied hot with automatic(commercial) machine drive in strips after preparation of surfaces as per manufacturer’s instructions & according to the specifications laid down by IRC & MOST (Ministry Of Surface Transport)- Specifications 2001 (4th revision), making lines, broken lines/dashes, arrows etc. on roads and other like surfaces exceeding 10cm but not exceeding 20cm in width or girth, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair, solar delinators (red blinkers & Charged by solar energy), with four ultra bright flashing LEDs, polycarbonate and toughened aluminium alloy body, fitted on MS pipe 50mm dia (approximate 1.00 m long) powder coated anti rust, fixed in position in PCC 1:2:4 block 20x20x30cm with necessary fixing arrangements as per manufacturer’s instructions including excavation, earth work and removal of soil to a distance n.exc 50m complete all as specified and directed. Make : Sun eyes SE-202 or equivalent in Dark eye/3M/Tata BP/Solar dark eye.

Supply and fix in repair, ABS material body stud, dynamically designed to bear maximum load, with/without pin, fitted with two highly reflective reflectors moulded in PMMA materials fitted on both sides. The reflectors are welded with ABS base plate through ultrasonic welding process. The stud shall be fixed with drilling a hole of suitable width and depth as per stem size with epoxy , complete all as specified and directed. Make : Sun eyes SE-507(A) standard size stud or equivalent in Dark eye/3M/Tata BP/Solar dark eye.

Supply and fix in repair, stud aluminium alloy and PC construction, solar powered by mono crystal panel, stud comprising of one high capacity Ni-Cd rechargeble battery, view distance shall be approximate 1000 metre. LEDs - 10mm, 3 pieces each side and total 6 pieces are used for high brightness of different colour, back up shall be 12 hours of continuous lighting at night , complete all as specified and directed. Make : Sun eyes SE-507(R) red colour super quality solar stud or equivalent in Dark eye/3M/Tata BP/Solar dark eye.

Supply and fix in repair, traffic convex mirror 800mm dia made of PC material provided with suitable MS pipe post needed for road turning. It should have clear and infinite mirror image having 130 degree of viewing angle including excavation and PCC , complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of precast cement concrete (unreinforced), PCC kerb stones and removing all rubbish out side the premises and proprly stacking the re-useable material, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Pre-cast cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in kerb stones including necessary forms and moulds and set in cement mortar 1:4 , complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No. 11 above but using old serviceable kerb stone , complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer including preparation of new concrete surface, not otherwise described, over 10cm width or girth, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour, Plain Cement Concrete (1:5:10) type E-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate, as in sub base and in foundation, Complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour, factory made, precast concrete, machine pressed, interlocking paver block any shape and size, ISI marked, IS-15658-2006, of 60mm thickness, M-35 Grade, with grey cement and pigment, laid over and including 25mm thick fine sand cushioning and joints filled with fine sand, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Rate includes supply and spreading of sand.

Note: The Total amount shall subject to adjustment of credit of Rs. 1550.00 for old Materials as per Schedule of Credit.
