Replacement of damaged Bucket and Chain Links of RC / DD / Product Elevators and damaged chain links of RC / SF Conveyors in NP Plant, FACT CD.

Repair / replacement of chain links of Product Elevator A or B in N P Plant. Work involves : The materials required for the work shall be collected / transported from stores to site. After getting the clearance, boot covers, side covers and all inspection doors shall be opened. Back stopper of gearbox shall be removed and suitably position the broken chain links and buckets, by manual rotation of the elevator chain. The bottom side sprocket assembly shall be lifted with chain block.The buckets, lock pins and connecting pins of the damaged links shall be removed to dismantle / take out the damaged chain link. The contractor should refrain from using a gas cutting torch to cut the connecting pins, bush, or side bar. If any difficulties arise during the pin removal process, the contractor should follow the instructions of Shift Engineer/Officer-In-charge. New chain links, pins and lock pins shall be fixed back in position.The dismantled / new buckets, side covers, bottom side sprocket assembly shall be fixed back properly. Box-up boot covers and inspection covers. Fix the back stopper of gearbox and take the trial run. One unit / one number chain link removal/ replacement means the removal and refixing of two coupling pins and two bucket. The removal of no.s of coupling pins wholly depends according to Shift Engineer's Instructions. If consecutive chain links need to be removed/replaced (maximum of 5 links), it should be counted as a single chain link removal/replacement process, achieved by removing two coupling pins and two buckets. If more than two buckets are required to be dismantled for this purpose, the cost of additional bucket removal/replacement will be included in Activity No.4.

Adjust Tail Sprocket if required. The flights, lock pins and connecting pins of the damaged links shall be removed to dismantle / take out the damaged chain link. New chain links, pins and lock pins shall be fixed back in position. The dismantled or new flights shall be fixed back and tightened properly. Tightening / loosening of the tail end sprocket sssembly shall be done as per instruction. Box-up all doors, covers and inspection covers.Take trial run of the RC / SF Conveyor and box-up back and front doors. One unit / one number chain link removal/ replacement means the removal of two coupling pins. The removal of no.s of coupling pins wholly depends according to Shift Engineer's Instructions.

Replacement of buckets of Product Elevator & DD/RC Elevator A or B in N P Plant. Work involves : The materials required for the work shall be collected / transported from stores to site. After getting the clearance, boot covers, side covers and all inspection doors shall be opened if required. Back stopper of gearbox shall be removed and suitably position the damaged buckets, by manual rotation of the elevator chain. The bottom Tail end sprocket assembly shall be lifted with chain block if required. The damaged buckets shall be removed from the position. The New bucket shall be fixed back in position. The boot covers and inspection covers will be closed. The back stopper of the gearbox will be fixed back in place, and a trial run will be conducted. For the removal or replacement of continuous chain links, a specific number of buckets will be dismantled and reattached according to the instructions of the Shift Engineer.

Replacement of damaged guide angles of Product Elevator & DD/RC Elevator A or B in N P Plant. Work involves : The materials required for the work shall be collected from FACT -CD stores / plant area and transport to the work site at NP Plant area. After getting the clearance, necessary scaffoldings with proper pipes and clamps shall be arranged at site for the replacement of damaged guide angles if required. All guide angles will be inspected for looseness and damage, and any issues will be rectified. If required, the damaged guide angles will be dismantled, repaired, and fixed back on both sides as per the instruction of the Officer - in -Charge to meet site requirement. Additionally, any necessary patchwork at the guide angle fixing area will be carried out as per the instructions. Damaged agles/materials shall be transported to the weighbridge for weighing. After weighing the materials, they will be transported to the appropriate areas earmarked for different materials in the scrap yard or as per the instruction from the site in charge.
