Hydraulic Gate Valve repair

HYDRAULIC GATE VALVES ***All spares ship supply

All Hydraulic cylinder to be removed from valve body, dismantled and pressure testing to be carried out. Bucket and gland seals to be renewed. Cylinder to be fitted back after renewal of seals and satisfactory pressure testing. Valve to be shown in working condition to the satisfaction of ship staff.

Valve to be removed from place and taken to workshop after removing hydraulic pipes and mountings etc. Valve to be dismantled and nose and buffer rings removed. Valve body in a way of nose and buffer rings to be calibrated and report submitted. Water boxes to be pressure tested to 5 kg. per cm.sq. Valve slide and spindle to be dismantled. Indicator spindle to be checked for trueness and mechanism to be overhauled. Water gland seal for valve spindle to be renewed. Flushing water space to be cleaned and painted with Apexior-3. Nose & buffer rings (ship supply) to be renewed and valve assembled back with new packings (Contractor Supply). Valve to be tried out hydraulically by hand pump to the satisfaction of ship staff. Valve body to be chipped and painted with one coat each of epoxy primer and enamel green. Valve to be taken on board and refitted in place with new joints, bolts & nuts. Valve to be shown in working condition. All pipelines to be assembled back and any leakages from pipelines to be rectified *** All spares ship supply *** Paint, joints, bolts & nuts contractor supply

Worn out portion in way of seat/nose and buffer rings to be built up by low hydrogen electrodes to required diameter and machined to original dimensions.

Worn out/pitted portions on stainless steel slide to be built up and ground to original sizes.

Worn out/thinned down portions of water box valve body to be cropped and renewed.

Renewing the indicator unit (MS). Material contractor supply.

Fabricating, fitting by welding the MS guide plates (size: 230x80x20) to guide the valve slide to each valve. Material contractor supply.

Chrome plating (Approx 100 micron) on Hydraulic Rams of various hydraulic gate valve cylinders.

Upper door cylinder ram chrome plating has to be done as required to the original size of the ram to suit existing seals.
