Bitiminous concrete : Providing and laying Bituminous concrete using crushed stone aggregates of size 10mm, 6mm, stone dust and premixed with bituminous binder and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site by tippers, laying with paver finisher equipped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction and density as per specification, complete and as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. The thickness should be minimum 40 mm of Bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 5% (percentage by weight of total mix) and lime filler @ 2% (percentage by weight of Aggregate) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant. Note: At the time of laying sample will be collected and same will be got tested in approved lab for percentage of bitumen used on actual. The submission of sample testing report from approved lab shall be in contractor’s scope. Weighment shall be carried out at computerized Batch mix plant / computerized weigh bridge of the contractor. IMPORTANT NOTE: The existing road surface is weared, rough and uneven at many locations. The bidders are requested to critically inspect the existing road surface before quoting the rates. NO EXTRA payment will be made FOR ADDITIONAL THICKNESS OF BITUMEN CONCRETE ON ACCOUNT OF UNDULATED AND ROUGH AND WEARD SURAFCE OF THE EXISTING ROAD

Tack Coat: Cleaning the existing road surface by mechanical method or as specified by Engineer in charge of IIMA and providing and applying tack coat using rapid setting emulsion, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, as per standard specifications. On bituminous surface @ 2.5 to 3 Kg per 10 Sqm.

Emulsion paint on top surface: Providing & applying Emulsion painting on Bitumen surface with Emulsion/ Polymer modified emulsion @ rate of 7 Kg/10 Sq. Mt. by mechanical sprayer and spreading the stone dust on prepared surface at the rate of 0.03 Cu Mt / 10 Sq Mt and brushing etc. complete as per instruction of Engg-in-charge.

Road marking Strip: Providing and applying 2 to 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour ,T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and Accordance with applicable specifications. (QuantIty calculation for information: 2400 meter length x 100 mm wide = 240 SQMT x 2 side = 480 SQMT)
