PWRJT21031/Coating refurbishment of 1.0 Km of SMPL with Petrolatum/ Wax Tape at Viramgam

Coating & Wrapping refurbishment of 28 inch diameter pipeline with owner supplied Patrolatum / Wax tape as per specifications /directions specified in SCC in all respects. (a) Excavating in all type of soil in all the depths including hard murrum and soft rock for exposing existing pipeline normally buried at 1.5 to 2.5 m. The depth may be higher in some stretches and also near road/ rail / river / nala/ cart track crossing, including keeping top layer of soil separately, bailing out of water, shoring strutting etc. (b) Removing of old coat & wrap with scrappers using wooden/ brass hammers etc. (c) Cleaning the pipe by hand tool / wire brushing as per tender specifications and instructions of Site Engineer / EIC. (d) Applying one coat of owner supplied petrolatum paste over the cleaned surface with the help of hand / trowel. (e) Applying petrolatum / wax tape (Inner) for corrosion protection on the surface of petrolatum applied pipe with minimum overlap of 50% as recommended by the manufacturer followed by PVC tape (outer) coating or as recommended by the manufacturer. (f) Backfilling of the trench after holiday detection test to be performed by contractor as per specifications. The contractor shall properly provide compaction of the backfilled earth & restore the worksite to original conditions. (g) Restoration of the ROW to the satisfaction of the Owner as per the direction of EIC or his representatives.

Sleeving of Mainline Type A : Fabrication, fitment, and welding for Full encirclement sleeves for epoxy grouting from owner supplied 28" dia pipes over pitted sections of the exposed pipeline including testing / inspection (DP/Tell tale test), supply of all equipments, consumables, labour etc. required to complete the work in all respects as per the specifications and directions of the Site Engineer/E-I-C. Pipes will be supplied by the Owner from Owner's Store Yards at Gauridad/Viramgam/Koyali/Chaksu and shall be transported to site at the Contractor's risk & cost for sleeving of 28" dia pipeline. Type B : Fabrication, fitment and welding of full encirclement direct welding type sleeves from owners supplied 28" dia pipes over pitted sections of the exposed pipeline including testing/inspection (DP/Tell tale test), supply of all equipments, consumables, labour etc. required to complete the work in all respects as per the specifications and direction of the Site Engineer/EIC. Pipes will be supplied by the Owner from Owner's Store yards at Gauridad/Viramgam/Koyali/Chaksu and shall be transported to site at the Contractor's risk & cost for sleeving of 28" dia pipeline. Note: (1) Net length of the sleeve over pipe shall be the determining quantity of sleeving work for making payment to the Contractor (2) Rate for this item is fixed & Bidders are not allowed to quote for this item.(Quantity: 10 Mtr X Rate: Rs. 13259 = Amount: Rs.132590 )

Disposal of hard rock : Transportation and disposal of excavated rock by suitable mechanical transport arrangement including loading, unloading and stacking within 10 KM radius. Executed quantity shall be considered as per actual disposal carried out ouside IOCL ROW as per direction/decision of EIC/Site Engineer Note: Rate for the below item is fixed & Bidders are not allowed to quote for below items:

a) Upto 02 KM (Quantity: 7.76 CUM X Rate: Rs. 190 = Amount: Rs.1474.4 ) Fixed

b) Upto 05 KM (Quantity: 15.52 CUM X Rate: Rs. 255 = Amount: Rs.3957.6 ) Fixed

c) Upto 10 KM (Quantity: 7.76 CUM X Rate: Rs. 347 = Amount: Rs.2692.72 ) Fixed

Excavation & Backfilling: In case after excavating the stretch (which stretch was given in tender) for C&W refurbishment, there any new coating found (as per EIC/SE decision), then no need to carryout C&W work as per SOR item no.3.0 and contractor shall back fill that stretch as per the directions of Site Engineer/EIC. Note: Rate for this item is fixed & Bidders are not allowed to quote for this item. (Quantity: 100 CUM X Rate: Rs. 200 = Amount: Rs.20000 )

Sand Padding (in Rocky areas) : Supplying, providing and filling fine sand in trenches in hard rocky stretches from 200 mm below the bottom of pipe upto 200 mm above pipe top (for the complete specified trench width) as per instructions of Site engineer / EIC, as per drawing. Note: I. Item to be operated under specific instructions from Engineer-in-Charge

Payment for supplying and providing Rockshield. Supply and providing of owner approved Rock shield all around the pipe where hard rock is encountered. Rock shield shall be of extruded polyethylene mesh and meet the requirements specified in technical specifications. The application procedure of the system will be in strict adherence to the procedure laid by the manufacturer. The Contractor shall obtain prior approval from the Engineer-in-Charge for the rock shield material and its application procedure.

Payment for WBM Road/concrete road/metal road cutting, including shoring, shuttering, providing bypass etc: Cutting/excavation of roads, in locations where the trench is cut across roads including shoring, shuttering and providing temporary bridges/ suitable bypass of adequate strength & proper construction to allow the passage of normal traffic with minimum of inconvenience and interruptions. The contractor should make good and restore such roads etc. to its original condition without any extra cost. This is extra payment for road cutiing, providing bypass etc.

Pumping out of water/dewatering from trench, where C&W (SOR item no. 2.0) shall be carried. This item shall be executed by contractor's own pump with all labour,hoses,consumables,fuel etc. Pump may be Tractor mounted or independent with minimum 5HP pump with 3” suction and 3” discharge. Complete the job as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge/Site Engineer. For this item, unit is mentioned as 'HR' means per hour per HP. (HP is defined as Pump rating).
