Replacement of Damaged Conveyor Belt in NP Plant and Offsite Area, FACT CD.

Replacement of Conveyor Belt of width 750 mm in NP / OS Area. [More than 25 meters] Work involves : The new conveyor belt from CD - store / old usable belt from the site shall be transported and unloaded at required site. Damaged old belt shall be removed after arresting the gravity take up. The new belt shall be pulled in, full length or part [ more than 25 meters] and placed properly to suit with site condition. The arrangements like idler / frame dismantling, wooden planks fixing, belt supporting etc. shall be done for splicing / mechanical jointing of conveyor belt. Splicing / jointing of conveyor belt is not in the scope of contractor. The conveyor belt shall be released after the curing of joint / getting clearance. Removed idlers / frames shall be fixed back properly. Trail run of the conveyor belt shall be taken on load, with out any sway. Balance belt roll shall be transported to storage area near offsite. Scrap conveyor belts shall be transported to scrap yard after cutting and rolling the same into smaller bundles as per instructions of the shift-engineer.

After weighing the materials, they will be transported to the appropriate areas earmarked for different materials in the scrap yard or as per the instruction from the site in charge.

Replacement of damaged skirt of product conveyors. Work involves : Collection of required tools and tackles from workshop / tool crib. Make all the arrangemments before starting the work and after getting the clearance from the process dept, work shall be proceed. Begin by dismantling the damaged skirt boards on both sides of the product conveyor chute. Replace them with new or modified skirt boards according to the instructions provided by the shift engineer/Incharge officer. The skirt boards, which are causing damage to the product conveyor belt, can be modified and replaced. The maximum allowable length for the skirt is 15 meters. Damaged skirtboard / belt shall be transported to the weighbridge for weighing. After weighing the materials, they will be transported to the appropriate areas earmarked for different materials in the scrap yard or as per the instruction from the site in charge.[One set means two skirts of one chute.].
