M&L for preparation of old painted bituminous surface of Runway or surfaces of concrete pavements by removing all loose dirt/ dust, oils, grease etc. with the help of brush or broom and applying one coat of Acrylic water based road marking paint conforming to IS-164 (1981), white or golden yellow or any other tint as required at site as in painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc. exc. 10 cm width complete all as specified and as directed. [Note: (i) Acrylic water based road marking paint shall be issued by the MES under Schedule 'B' free for application (ii) Quoted rate shall include for all other material components required if any]

M&L for preparation of previously untreated bituminous surface of Runway or surfaces of concrete pavements by removing all loose dirt / dust, oils, grease etc. with the help of brush or broom and applying two coats of Acrylic water based road marking paint conforming to IS-164 (1981), white or golden yellow or any other tint as required at site over a coat of primer as in painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc. exc. 10 cm width complete all as specified and as directed. [Note: (i) Acrylic water based road marking paint shall be issued by the MES under Schedule 'B' free for application (ii) Quoted rate shall include for all other material components required if any like primer etc.]

M&L for complete removal of road marking paint from bituminous/ concrete surfaces with shot blasting or water blasting process complete including necessary T&P all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation of old painted brick, stone, concrete, asbestos cement or plastered surfaces over 10 cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed. [Note: (i) Synthetic enamel paint shall be issued by the MES under Schedule 'B' free for application (ii) Quoted rate shall include for all other material components required if any like thinner etc.]

M&L for preparation of old painted brick, stone, concrete, asbestos cement or plastered surfaces not exc. 10 cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed. [Note: (i) Synthetic enamel paint shall be issued by the MES under Schedule 'B' free for application (ii) Quoted rate shall include for all other material components required if any like thinner etc.]

M&L for preparation of old decorated surfaces of concrete pavements/ road surface and applying one coat of white wash complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface using air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc. complete and applying Cold Polymer Modified bitumen Emulsion (PME) by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME 0.90 litre/ Sq.m (un diluted) for two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runway complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and all as specified and as directed. [Note: (i) PME shall be issued by the MES under Schedule 'B' free for application (ii) Quoted rate shall include for all other material components required if any]

Notes: - The tenderer shall take into consideration of the following points while quoting his rate for this item :- (a) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO standards. (b) The work shall be got carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturer of PME under the supervision of their technical expert. (c) Care shall be taken to fill gaps / cracks up to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer’s instructions. (d) A performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. (e) Application of PME shall be done by flooding and wiping in both first coat and second coat with the help of wiper or as directed by the manufacturer.
