Operation and day to day maintenance of central winter heating plants including up keep of installation ,transportation of fuel form MES store yard and filling the fuel tank all as directed.Duration of operation :- one shift from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs (for office accn) . Details of the plants are given below :- (A) Central Winter Heating Plant capacity 1,00,000 Killo Callories/hour installed in MES office complex daily except on Sunday(s) and Holidays. The plant comprises of the following :- (i) Hot Water Generator - 01 No(Make – Thermax Srl No – AMW-01/H/84). (ii) Primary Pump-Srl No 990115, 3HP (Make - Beacon - 01 No.) (iii) Secondary Pump Srl No. - 98430, 3HP (Make-Beacon - 01 No.) (iv) Fan coil unit with ball cocks capacity 6000 K. Cals/Hour - 18 Nos. v) Balancing tank - 01 No. (vi) Fuel Tank - 01 No. (vii) Hot water circulating pipes of different sizes ½ inch dia to 3 inch dia. (b) LT electrical main panel comprising of the following accessories :- (i) Incoming MCB TP-63 Amp - 01 No. (ii) DOL starter of capacity 3 HP - 02 Nos (iii) MCB TP- 32 Amp for hot water Generator – 01
(B) Operation and day to day maintenance of central winter heating plant, capacity 2,00,000 Killo Callories/hour installed in MES office complex daily including upkeep of installation, transporting of fuel from MES store yard and filling of fuel tank all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Duration of Operation – Two shifts (For Living accn). (a) From 0400 Hrs to 1200 Hrs (b) From 1600 hrs to 2400 hrs. and The plant comprises of the following :- (i) Hot water generator Srl No AMW-02/H/101 –01 No (Make Thermax Limited). (ii) Primary Pump Srl. No. BPT-200153 Capacity 3 HP (Make - Beacon - 01 No.). (iii) Secondary pump Srl No. - BPT-20180 (Make - Beacon). (iv) Fan Coil unit with ball cocks capacity 6000 K. Callories/ hour - 41 Nos. (v) Hot water circulating pipes of different sizes ½ inch dia to 3 inch dia. (c) LT electrical main panel comprising of the following accessories:- (i) Incoming MCB TP –100 Amps - 01 No. (ii) MCB TPN 32 Amps for hot water generator - 01 No.
Note:- (i) Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to the installation including its accessories while using wrong method of operation, he shall be liable to make the same good/serviceable. (ii) The timing of shifts of 08 hrs will be decided by the Engineer-in-charge, accordingly the contractor shall provide the necessary man power for operation of heating plant. However no extra payment for the same will be entertained by department at any stage. In case of any difference of opinion between Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor in this regards, the decision of the Engineer-in-charge shall be final, conclusive and binding. (iii) The operator(s) should be qualified/skilled enough in operation of heating plant. The operator(s) must be fully trained to handle any kind of emergency condition in case of any kind of malfunctioning of heating plant. (iv) The minimum qualification of operator(s), employed by the contractor, shall be diploma/ITI certificate holder in relevant trade or 12th pass with minimum 02 years of experience in the operation of heating plant. (v) The operator(s) should not leave theheating plant till the next reliever does not take the charge of heating plant and minimum overlap time between presence of two operator should be 15 min.
(vi) The operator(s) will be responsible for cleanliness and necessary up keeping of heating plant including lobby area. (vii) Heating plant will be operated by only one operator for any particular shift. (viii) The operator should be free from the habits of any addiction such as liquor, smoking or other drugs. (ix) The contractor or his/her representative will also visit the installations once daily and inform defects/ problems if any in writing to Engr-in-charge within 24 hrs. In case of any emergency / break down of heating plant, the same must be informed immediately to Engr-in-charge / JE (E/M) without fail, telephonically & in written within 06 hrs. The supervisor should maintained the attendance register and should get it signed daily by Engr-in-charge. (x) Operator shall wear uniform including nameplate while operating in his respective shift duties. (xi) In case of absence of any heating plant operator during his respective shift duty, contractor will be penalised for the same and suitable financial recovery will be made from the contractor. (xii) Contractor should deposit the EPF challan of his operators to the department, by the first week of every month. Suitable penalty will be imposed for late submission of EPF challan.
