M & L for walling of random rubble masonry, uncoursed, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted, built in Cement Mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.

All as described in Serial Item No. 3 herein before but except Stones. Note: Stones obtained from demolition shall be re-used under this item

M & L for PCC 1:3:6, Type C-2, using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Foundation, Fillings, Mass concrete, Footings etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Plain / Reinforced cement concrete Type B1 [Nominal Mix] 1:2:4 using 20mm graded stone aggregate in lintels,bands etc up to 1.5m span, cills, steps, seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating as directed including use and waste of form work, complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for forming fair finished drain or channel of any inner girth using extra cement including forms, moulds, mitred / stooped ends complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down Cement Plaster of any description on brick or stone walls or concrete surfaces, ceiling surfaces etc including raking out joints, hacking for key scrubbing down with water etc and removing rubbish to a distance exceeding 1.50 KM but not exceeding 5.0 KM complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for rendering to Stone masonry surfaces/ other than fair faces of brick work, 15 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:4 and finishing the top surface even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for rendering to brick / concrete surfaces, 15 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:4, surfaces finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of Reinforced Cement Concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for and removing rubbish to a distance exceeding 1.50 KM and not exceeding 5.00 KM complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for providing Precast RCC 1:2:4, Type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in landings, cover slabs [for manholes etc], chullah hoods, chajjas, water troughs, mangers, Shelves and similar articles with plain faces set in cement mortar 1:4 including use of necessary form work/ moulds, etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Use and removal of steel formwork to sides of pillars, posts, struts, piers, columns and stanchions of any shape / cross section for rough finished surfaces of concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

Use and removal of steel formwork to sides of concrete foundations, footings, bases of columns, raft and raft beams, sides and soffits [if any] of foundation and plinth beams and similar work, vertical or to batter for rough finished surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for RCC 1:1½:3, Type A-1, using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in foundations including rafts, footings, foundation beams, plinth beams, bases for columns etc complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Road Stud, Two way reflective of size 100mm X 110mm X 20 mm [Approximately], ABS body with high intensity grade retro reflective panel of Amber, Red or White colour conforming to IRC - 67, fixed with complete all as specified and as directed.

Desilting of Drains [Covered or Open] in any condition [including foul condition] with necessary dewatering and temporary diversion of drain water as required including disposal of spoil to a distance exceeding 1.0 Km but not exceeding 1.50 Km including removing and replacing cover slabs complete all as directed.

S & F PVC Coated Chain Link MS Galvanised Fencing Mesh of size 75 mm X 75mm, 4mm dia wire with minimum 1 mm thick PVC Coating and of weight not less than 4.5 KG / Sq.m including line wires, any mesh, size and type to any type of standards, rails, straining bolts, etc. including provision of binding wire complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 1.60mm thick Plain, Black Sheet, mild steel sheeting as in wall cladding, steel gates and similar work, cut to size, holes punched including round headed screws, clout nails or rivets and fixed to wood or steel framing with plain 40 mm lap joints with riveted or welded seams, including bending or turning up, mitred angles, etc. fixed in repairs complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 10 Sq.m on plan area and not exceeding 1.5m deep in Soft / Loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removal of excavated material [Soil] to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick of excavated soil complete all as specified and as directed. Note: A deduction of 10% shall be made from total computed volume of filling to cater in bulk irrespective of machinery used for ramming.

Extra over stone walling for hammer dressing to face stones and dressing of face beds and joints, as specified, of random rubble walling,uncoursed or brought face from straight edge held against the dressed surface not exceeding 40mm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for removal of Rubber Deposits on Runway surfaces using Water Blasting-cum-Vacuume system with suitable operating pressure to remove total rubber deposits from the pavement surface without damaging the existing runway surface and maintaining the texture and surface condition of the pavement intact and providing two coats of Cold applied Polymer Modified Emulsion [PME] by using mechanical sprayer at the rate of Cold Liquid PME 1.00 Litre per Square Metre [undiluted], each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 [PME : Water], ensuring uniform coverage and finish on applied area complete all as per manufacturer instructions and all as specified and as directed. Notes: [a] The works catered under this item shall be executed through the manufacturer or their authorised applicators and necessary approval from GE shall be obtained before execution of this work. [b] Friction Test shall be measured and paid separately.

M & L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all dirt etc. and providing two coats of Cold applied Polymer Modified Emulsion [PME] by using mechanical sprayer at the rate of Cold Liquid PME 1.00 Litre per Square Metre [undiluted], each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 [PME : Water], ensuring uniform coverage and finish on applied area complete all as per manufacturer instructions and all as specified and as directed. Notes: [a] The works catered under this item shall be executed through the manufacturer or their authorised applicators and necessary approval from GE shall be obtained before execution of this work.

S & F in repairs Sign board of size 1.50 x 1.2 m with 6mm thick ACP Sheet on both faces, ACP sheets with standard polyethylene core with PVDF coating of 30 micron sandwiched by standard aluminium skin on both sides of sheet, each face fully covered with high Intensity Prismatic [Type-IV] sheeting conforming to Type III of ASTDM-D 4956-01 as approved by GE with letters [Black, Roman, Italic or Indian] including necessary stops, commas, short lines, dashes, brackets, etc., [Any Number of alphabets but not less than 50 Nos per each side], index hands [Natural size] or arrows [up to 400mm long] one number, borders, etc. as per IRC 67 - 2001 in silver/white with blue/green or any other colour back ground and with high intensity grade, pasted on substrate by pressure sensitive adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying pressure conforming to Class II ASTDM - D - 1956 - 01, fixing ACP sheets to the structural frame work by means of suitable Self Tapping Screws, rivets or bolts and nuts, etc and providing structural framing with 50mm dia x 4mm thick tubular stainless steel pipes overall height 2m (1.5 m above and below GL) and fastened with steel button fastener, round caps and cross supports between two pipes and erecting in position including necessary excavation, earth work, suitable PCC Type C-2 foundation including taking down existing sign board of any description and size complete all as specified and as directed. M & L for preparation of old painted bituminous / concrete surfaces, cleaning the surfaces by removing all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc. and Painting Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters, etc. on Road, Pavements and the like exceeding 10cm width or girth with One Coat Water based Acrylic Runway marking paint of colour White or Golden Yellow applied by using Airless sprayer complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- The contractor shall carryout Runway Marking Painting & allied works under subject work through the Authorised Applicator of the manufacturer only. The lowest bidder shall submit MoU from manufacturer to provide technical support and trained persons for carrying out Runway Marking Painting & allied works through their authorised applicators before commencement of the work to GE for approval.

M & L for preparation of existing surfaces of Rigid/ Flexible pavements of Runway/ Turning Pads/ Taxiway by using Water Blasting-cum-Vacuume system with suitable operating pressure to remove total paint deposits from the pavement surface without damaging the existing runway surface and maintaining the texture and surface condition of the pavement intact and Painting Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters, etc. and the like exceeding 10cm width or girth [Retro Reflective Type] of colour Yellow with White or Black Borders, Cold applied type, applied by skilled painter / applicator of wet film thickness of 400 microns in single coat and dry film thickness of 200 micron and coverage @ the rate of 0.4 to 0.5 Litres per Square Metre and application of drop on Glass Beads Type IV [Reflective Index 1.5] @ 350 Grams per Square Metre complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for racking out old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blades / machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris and application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant and thereafter providing closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backer bar of size 30mm dia for complete length of the joint and finally filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirement mentioned in BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor MAF of +/- 30% complete all as specified and directed. Note: The works catered under this item shall be executed through the manufacturer or their authorised applicators and necessary approval from GE shall be obtained before execution of this work. Dismantling carefully cracked rigid surface of concrete patches by using mechanical cutter like diamond cutter sweeping, cleaning with compressed air, removal of all loose particles up to a distance exceeding 250m but not exceeding 500m and filling with a Mix of Epoxy Resin and Epoxy Hardener Compound in 2:1 ratio mixed thoroughly with Quartz Sand [3Kg/Mix] [Total mix will be 2:1:3] including applying a coat of Epoxy Resin on the finished top surface complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and as directed. M & L for Friction Test for Flexible & Rigid Pavement with PSRT [Portable Skid Resistant Tester] Machine and shall be carried out by qualified and experienced Engineer at the places shown by the user representative and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: [a] The test shall be conducted before and after the rubber removal to ascertain friction developed. [b] The tests shall be conducted five times at one place and average reading shall be considered. [c] The test shall be conducted in non-flying time as per guidelines of the ATC. [d] The test results shall be submitted in triplicate. [e] The rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for conducting five tests at one place and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.
