M&L for surface dressing not exceeding 15 cm deep in soft/loose soil including cleaning away all grass vegetation, saplings, shrubs, brushwood, undergrowth, roots and trees not exceeding 30 cm girth and removing rubbish upto a distance of 50 m outside the periphery of the area complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cleaning the surface with compressed air and making the surface free from dust by using brush and applying one coat of cold polymer Modified bitumen emulsion (PMBE) by using self propelled bitumen emulsion distributor or towed bitumen emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the material (binder) uniformly and mopping of diluted liquid in the ratio 1:1 of PMBE and water by weight at the rate of minimum 0.50 Kg of PMBE (ie 1.0 kg of diluted liquid) per sqm in one coat and ensure uniform finish of runway complete all as per manufacturers instructions and all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge. (Make : Hincol CQS1h or techno commercially equivalent product of Shell India Markets Pvt Ltd as specified and approved by GE). Note:- No extra amount will be paid to the contractor if excess quantity of PMBE used by the contractor than specified quantity in the item.

M&L for preparation of joints and cracks prior to overlay/surface treatment. Remove all vegetation and debris from cracks to a minimum depth of 25 mm. dusting with air jets, treat the specific area with appropriate crack sealing material prior to application of slurry seal as directed and specified by the Engineer--in-charge. Fill all the cracks 4-6 mm wide, along with soft or sunken spots, indicate that the pavement or the pavement base should be repaired or replaced as stated below. Cracks and joints shall be filled as per latest MORTH specifications with a mixture of slow setting cationic emulsified bitumen type SS-2, water(6-12) %, filler (1-2) %, aggregate and additives(0.5-2.0)%. The quantity of slurry seal shall lies from 8.4 to 9.8 kg/m2 and residual binder content shall lies from 7.5 % to 13.5 % (% by weight of dry aggregate) . The aggregate shall consist of crushed stone dust, clean, sharp, hard, durable and uncoated dry particles and free from soft pieces, organic and other deleterious substances or other material that will cure to form a hard substance complete all as specified and as directed:-.

Tack coat is required if the surface is extremely hungry and dry all as directed and specified by Engr-in-charge. The proportions of slow setting cationic bitumen emulsion and aggregate shall be determined in the field and may be varied to facilitate construction requirements. Normally, these proportions will be approximately one part slow setting cationic bitumen emulsion to five parts aggregate by volume. The material shall be poured or placed into the joints or cracks and compacted to form a void less mass. The joint or crack shall be filled to within +0 to -1/8 inches (+0 to -3 mm) of the surface. Any material spilled outside the width of the joint shall be removed from the pavement surface prior to constructing the overlay. Where concrete overlays are to be constructed, only the excess joint material on the pavement surface and vegetation in the joints need to be removed.

M&L for Cutting grass and ploughing of soft ground arresters around runway and taxi track by deploying tractor with jungle jim/ plougher and a driver complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.

S&F in repairs Taxiway/Runway Sign Boards having 100% UV protected face plate on one side of size not exc 1.0 Sqm each consisting of non metalic materials support structure having min. Tensile strength 4000 kg/cm2 impact strength of 139kg/cm2, UV resistance must meet 1000 hr UV weathering test for tensilw strength as per ASTM G53 and very low flammability as per IS-6746, Appx "N" 1994, Temp. resistance (-)40 degree centigrate to (+)80 degree centigrate and able to withstand wind to wind force of 150kg/hr, with high intensity prismatic grade retro reflecting sheeting as 3M type4 /EGP type 3 as base and with cut out massage (legends border letters numerals etc) with high intensity prismatic grade retro reflective, including PCC 1:2:4 AS IN PIT OF SIZE 15x15x15cm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.

All as per item No. 05 here-in-before but size exc. 1.0 Sqm but n. exc. 1.5 Sqm

M&L for Raking out sealing compound (Grade 'B' or Polyurethane sealant) from existing expansion joints of dimension 25 mm to 30 mm wide and 40 mm deep, removing the debris from site by sweeping the concrete surface with brooms, cleaning with compressed air, treating sides and bottom of the joints with primer as per manufacturer's directions and filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of 25/32 mm dia, sealing with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 10 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB) including applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant complete all as specified and as directed

All as per item No 7 above but construction/dummy joints of dimension 16 to 24 mm wide and 40 mm deep

All as per item No 7 above but construction/dummy joints of dimension 10 to 15 mm wide and 30 mm deep

M&L for cutting/chipping off carefully the cracks of runway/taxi track (hard concrete surfaces) in uniform width of cross sectional area with depth of 20 to 25mm, cleaning all dust, mud etc. Priming the cut portion of concrete surfaces with Flexopatch of Make :M/s Chowksy or techno commercially equivalent make and filling the cut portions of cracks to the required level to match with existing surfaces of concrete slab/ pavement with flexopatch mortar of Make :M/s Chowksy or techno commercially equivalent complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Clearing the runway drain by plaughing by manual means and clearing away all grass vegetation from roots, spallings, shrubs, brushwoods, undergrowth, roots and trees not exceeding 30 cm girth (measured on one meter above ground level) and desilt the drain 15cm deep and removing rubbish upto a distance exceeding 250m but not exceeding 500m outside the periphery of the area under clearance complete all as specified and as directed.

Desilting of soil by excavating n exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft soil and removing excavated material exceeding 250m and n exceeding 500m and depositing where directed at a level n exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of brickwork or stone/ boulder masonry built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc but excluding ashlar facing dressed stone work and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for boulder pitching, laid dry, hand packed tightly grouted with cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed by Eng-in- Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:3:,6 Type C1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in coping etc and like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating as directed with and including necessary formwork complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down cement plaster on brick or stone walls etc including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc complete all as specified and directed by Eng-in-Charge.

M&L for rendering 10 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on stone masonry surface or surfaces other than fair face of brickwork or on side of lathing complete all as specified and directed by Eng-in-Charge.

M&L for removing old paint by paint removers or burning off by blow lamps and cleaning with scrapers any number of coats, any width or girth all as specified and directed by Eng-in-charge

M&L for preparation of old concrete/bitumen surfaces on rigid/Taxi track by brushing, washing, rubbing by gunny bags over 10 cm width or girth of any description and applying one coat of 1st quality exterior weather proof water base emulsion, on lines, dashes arrows, letters etc any paint complete all as specified and directed by Eng-in-charge.

All as per item No. 19 above but n exc 10 cm width or girth complete all as specified & directed by Eng-in-Charge.

M&L for applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint on brick stone, concrete asbestos cement or plaster surface of any description over 10 cm girth or width, not otherwise described including preparation of new surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15 cm thickness complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 100 mm thick PCC 1:4:8, type D2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in sub floors, sub bases, floors and pavings etc complete all as specified and directed..

M&L for sand filling, spreading, levalling, ramming in floors etc or in foundations including watering and consolidation complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 80mm thick Machine pressed precast concrete interlocking paver blocks, any shape and size with gray cement and pigment in M-40 Grade, confirming to IS 15658-2006 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete, laying at or near ground level in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm) and making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and as directed.
