Replacement of Granulator-B Discharge end tire shoes at NP Plant FACT - CD, during ATA 2024
Work Involves: Necessary site arrangements, collection and transportation of required tools and tackles, materials, etc. shall be done from Store Dept. /Workshop Dept. Arrangements for transportation of new tyre shoes to NP area. Site arrangements, Collection of chain blocks, Hydraulic jacks, tools and Tackles from tool crib / store. Arrangements of scaffolding at site, for the removal of existing tyre shoes. Arrangement for providing support strength at discharge end to avoid Granulator shell moment towards discharge end / downhill. Removal of thrust roller. Shifting of the existing feed end tyre from the position to middle of granulator by removing the tyre keepers, after lifting of the Granulator. Providing support strength at feed end to minimise the oval effect of the granulator shell. Transportation of spare tyre shoes to the Granulator area. Removal of all the existing tyre shoes with gas cutting and then grinding the areas. Welding of plate, Placing the tyre in proper position, welding the tyre shoes and tyre keepers for guiding the tyre. Girth gear segment bolt and housing / ring bolt replacement / tightening. Fixing of thrust roller in position. Removal of temporary supports. Assistant for the skewing work of Granualtor. Removal of scaffolding and trail run. Site cleaning and transportation of chain blocks, tools and Tackles to tool crib / store. All scrap materials shall be removed from site, transported to scrap yard after taking the weight and deposited in the appropriate areas ear marked for different materials. Usable materials shall be transported to specific locations as per instruction. The weight-recorded slip for unusable material, along with the scrap disposal form, needs to be submitted to the officer in charge of the scrap yard, and one copy should be provided to the user department.
