Opening of mass transfer trays manways and inspection of tray internal components made of SS 304L/316L plates by entering inside the XU towers. Each tray shall be checked for torque values for fasteners of tray components and down comer clearance to be checked & if required to be adjusted as per the requirement. Cleaning & removal of any sulphur, corrosion products etc. from each tray shall be carried out as per instruction of HWPK Engineer and details to be recorded. Manways shall be fixed back and torqued after completion of the job.
Opening of heat transfer (multi down comer) trays manways and inspection of tray internal components made of SS 316L plates by entering inside the XU towers and Waste Stripper. Each tray shall be checked for torque values for fasteners of tray components. Cleaning & removal of any sulphur, corrosion products etc. from each tray shall be carried out as per instruction of HWPK Engineer and details to be recorded. Manways shall be fixed back and torqued after completion of the job
Removal and re-installation of Tray (Mass & Heat transfer) for Tower's weld joint inspection:- Dismantling of tray as per EIC instruction, shifting material to above or below's trays to facilitate weld joint inspection Shifting of removed tray components to its position, fixing back the removed tray components after clearance from EIC and level checking using water level manometer to ensure a max. level difference of 3 mm by taking at least 10 readings at different locations on each tray and keeping the reference water column at a fixed place, torquing of fasteners
Removal of completely damaged trays in segments from tower, bringing it out through tower manholes, fixing back the new tray components and level checking using water level manometer to ensure a max. level difference of 3 mm by taking at least 10 readings at different locations on each tray and keeping the reference water column at a fixed place, torquing of fasteners. (Optional requirement to be exercised at the discretion of EIC for HWPK).
Cutting and removal of deposited sulphur in hard solid form from tower sump of cold towers by entering inside the tower.
