Surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sq m, not exc 50 mm deep including rolling scarified surfaces, with power roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity to required camber and gradient and removal the rubbish/ demolished material outside defence land, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for soling (or sub base) with broken boulders or quarried stone, interstices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber, Spread thickness in 200mm, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 150mm thick (compacted thickness) water bound macadam in two layers of 75mm each thickness with course aggregate as limestone/ sandstone/ flint/ quartzite of grading 2(63 to 40mm size), blinded with stone screening type 'A', spread, watered, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required by using power roller 8 to 12 Tonne capacity hollow made up to form true surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing unsurfaced Water bound Macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly priming /tack coat with paving bitumen (Grade VG-10) at the rate of 10 Kgs /10 Sqm on prepared surfaces, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparation of black top bituminous macadam surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a bituminous tack coat of GRADE VG-10 @ of 3 Kg per 10 sqm , complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for premixed bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 50mm or less ) laid / rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber using binder content of 4% by weight of total mix using paving bitumen of grade VG-30, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparation of black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a bituminous tack coat of GRADE VG-10 @ of 5 Kg per 10 sqm of road surface ,complete all as specified and as directed .

Material and labour for laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm (consolidated thickness) using with 5.5% of binder (grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using mechanical paver and rolled with 10-12 tonne capacity vibratory road roller rolled to uniform smooth surface ,complete all as specified and as directed. Note- (i) Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall prepared in central computerised hot mix plant. complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from laboratory as decided by GE.

Excavating in trenches, not exceeding 1.50 metre wide and not exceeding 1.50m in depth for foundation etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes etc. not exceeding 10 sq.m on plan and not exceeding 1.50m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 (using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregate), as in foundation filling and mass concrete, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 (using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregate), as in foundation, filling and mass concrete, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for reinforced cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded aggregate in walls, retaining walls, basement walls, ballast walls and the like; any thickness; above top of footings; including attached pilasters and buttresses complete all as specified and as directed .

Material and labour for formwork to faces of walls, retaining walls, abutments, parapets and staircase railings and similar work including attached pillasters, buttresses etc; vertical or to batter, work in rough finished flat surfaces of concrete complete all as specified and as directed .

Material and labour mild steel TMT bars, 10 mm dia and over, cut to length, bent to shape required including cranking, binding spirally for hooping or column, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia or securing with clips, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for 60mm bore reinforced concrete pipes, class NP3, laid and jointed complete with collars complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick in soil of any description, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge..

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50m above the starting point, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
