Providing,laying,jointing and testing GMS Pipes jointed with every fifth joint flanged and remaining butt weld joint of below diamtr i/c the cost of bends ) complete as per IS:1239-1990 (Part-I) , as per dimensions, weights and test pressures mentioned below in a random length of 4 to 7 meters. The Butt welded joints & MS Flanges are to be provided on each joint as per table given below conforming to IS:6392 - 1971 and welding of flanges with electrodes as per relevant codes including required number & size of nuts and bolts as per relevant codes and asbestos fibre jointing gasket sheet not less than 3mm thickness as per relevant codes . The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers to make the joints leak proof and to entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipe should be conformed to IS:5822-1994. (Earth work in trenches, Flanged joints & Butt weld joints to be measured and paid for separately ) Refer to General Specification Section-I (10.00)

Providing laying jointing and testing ( to be leveled to grade MSERW or flanged pipe of 250mm nominal diameter conforming to IS 1978-1982 ( latest upto date amendments) YST grade 210 heaving wall thickness as specified below suitable to with stand required hydroulic test pressure in rundem length 4 to 7 mtrs pipe leveled ends and jointed with flanges conforming to IS 6392 -1971 latest with upto date amendments and welding of flanges as per IS 816-1965 with electrode as per IS 814-1967 including required number of size of nuts and botls as per 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fibre jointing gaskets not less than 3mm thickness as per IS 2712-1965 . The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two leyrs to make one joint leakage and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. The laying of pipe shall confrom to IS 5822-1994 as per CPHEEO manual. Refer to General Specification Section-I (10.00)

Providing and welding M.S. flanges at suitable point, conforming to following tables as per IS 6392-1971 (Latest with upto date amendments) with plain end GMS/MSERW pipe in requsite number of layers on both faces to make the joint leak proof (The cost of providing and laying of MSERW pipes to be measured and paid for seprately). The welding of flanges should conform to IS:816-1969 with electrodes as per IS: 814-1991 and required number of nuts and bolts conforming to IS 1364. including cost of gasket sheet nuts & bolts. The thickness of gasket sheet not less then 3.00mm conforming to IS 2712-1998. BOOSTER STAGE
Providing & Installation of submersible pumping set ( 2 sets of 10 HP or as per pump make/model ) of KSB/Kirloskar/ Calma/ Johnsion/ Oswal make comprising to latest relevant code. The pump should be fitted with bronze impellers of suitable alloys as per IS 8034-1976latest suitable for clear water having greased packed bearings and shaft with wound stator on motor side with soft protection sleev on pump side ensuring better life for shaft of steel grade EN-8 coupled to a submersible squirrel cage electric induction motor (water proof type of required HP,RPM 2900 of standard make such as Kirloskar/Crompton/ BHEL confirming to BIS 9238-1979 latest with up to date amendments , totally dust and water proof for submersible duty isolated from the pump by intermediate casing with double mechanical seal in oil chamber and grease packed lubricated bearings and provided with stainless steel thrust bearing plate to with stand non vertical loads with minimum wear and tear. It also should be fitted with a device to take up the expansion of water with heating of motor . The pump set should include water level gaurds, erection clamps, cable clips, depth gauge and all allied accessories required etc. and suitable for operation on data given below:- Refer to General Specification Section-I (16 to 17.4)

IST STAGE
Providing & Installation of 1 set of 60 HP or as per pump make/ model, horiontal spindle horizontal split casing / end suctions (back pull out arrangement ) single /double/multistage centrifugal pump or combination of pump in series of Mather and Platt / KSB/Kirloskar/ Calma/ Johnsion/ Oswal make as per BIS 1520-1980 with up to date amendments, read with IS:9137-1978 or latest edition suitable for lifting clear water . The pump should be fitted with bronze impellers of suitable alloys, priming funnels , casing rings, shaft sleeves of bronze, shaft of steel grade EN-8 with cast iron casing coupled directly through a flexible coupling on MS/ Cast steel base plate ( base plate to be provided from the manufacturers of the pumping unit only) to squirrel cage drip proof induction motor of standard make such as Kirloskar/Crompton/ BHEL confirming to BIS 9238-1979 latest with up to date amendments and suitable for operation on 400 (+/-) 10% volts, 50 cycles / second, three phase AC electric supply. The power of electric motor should be atleast 10% in excess of the maximum power required by the pump in the operation range of + 10% and - 15% of the duty point head. The motor should be as per IS 325-1978 with up to date amendments. The pump set should include all allied accessories & suitable for operation on data given below:-Refer to General Specification Section-I (12 to 12.14)
