REPAIR TO JOINT FILLING, EPOXY/DEN PATCH, ELASTOMERIC AND CERTAIN WORKS IN SOUTH OF THE RUNWAY AT AF STN AMBALA UNDER GE (AF) AMBALA

Demolition of cement concrete in ground floor and paving not exceeding 15 cm thick below or above ground level for taxi light etc including removal of demolished material (cement concrete) from site to a distance exceeding 1.5 km and not exceeding 5.0 km & deposited where directed complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4, type B 1, (using 20 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates) as in plinth of taxi light including finishing the concrete surface even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for demolition of cement concrete (PQC) of existing unreinforced slabs or rigid pavements / portions of any description and in any position of runways, etc. removing rubbish / refuse to a distance exceeding 1.5km and not exceeding 5km and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed Notes: (i) Work shall be executed very carefully to check any damage to adjoining existing surfaces. Any such damages caused shall be made good without accruing any extra cost of government (ii) The cost of repair of any surfacing cracks in existing adjoining surfaces / locations during demolition shall be filled in as per relevant specification and IS.

M&L for pavement quality concrete (PQC) of flexural strength 45kg/sqcm in field using 410kg/cum of concrete (with maximum size of mechanically crushed stone coarse aggregate upto 40mm) as per mix design, with incorporation of non-circular polyestor fibre @ 1.0kg/cum of PQC, including all necessary formwork for laying in bays as shown on drawings complete all as specified and as directed Notes: (i) Airfield drawing shall be referred at office of the GE (AF) Ambala (ii) Construction / contraction / expansion joints shall be measured and paid separately under respective items (iii) Volume of concrete shall be deduced excluding joints (iv) The quantity of cement and synthetic fibre to be used in concrete specified hereinabove is minimum. Any deviation on the plus side as per design mix and site conditions shall be catered without any extra cost to the Govt. (v) Polyester non-circular fibre shall be measured and paid separately as 'supply only' under relevant item herein

M&L for providing lean cement concrete of grade M-15 Design Mix (using 20mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates) with minimum cement content 250 Kgs/Cubic metre including spreading and consolidating complete al as specified and directetd by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for providing clean dry coarse sand uniformly graded, spread, levelled in layers 20 mm thick over existing pavement etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L providing polythene film 400 micron, thick, white colour, laid over sand layer including all necessary cutting overlaps not less than 300mm and waste etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for finishing of concrete roads/paving by brooming complete etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only polyester traingular fibre 6/12mm long with circumcircle diameter 30-35 micron, designed, for melting point of 240-260 degree celsius and having specific gravity 1-34 to 1-40, Recron 3-S, manufactured by M/S Reliance Industries Ltd, Mumbai etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for forming contraction joints (Dummy joint) upto 100mm depth of concrete slab (PQC) x 8mm wide (Using diamond cutter) and cleaning and removing material, dirt,and all loose material etc. completely with compressor air blower from joints and filling with polyurethane joint sealant compound using mechanical means to a depth of 10mm (depth minimun above back up rod) with minimum performance guarantee of 10 years and minimum Movement Accommodation Factor (MAF) + 30 % confirming to the requirment of BS:5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/water resistence test including two coats of primer and providing approved quality closed cell polythene back up rod of dia 25% more than the width of joint over joint filler board in position, applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant on is applied as required etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for forming construction joint full depth of concrete and and 10mm wide (Using diamond cutter) including upto 1/3rd depth (minimum 100 mm) of concrete to form joint and cleaning and removing material, dirt,and all loose material etc. completely with compressor air blower from joints and filling with polyurethane joint sealant compound using mechanical means to a depth of 10mm (depth minimun above back up rod) with minimum performance guarantee of 10 years and minimum Movement Accommodation Factor (MAF) + 30 % confirming to the requirment of BS:5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/water resistence test including two coats of primer and providing approved quality closed cell polythene back up rod of dia 25% more than the width of joint over joint filler board in position, applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant on is applied as required etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for forming 20mm thick expansion joint in concrete slab of thickness, filled with preformed bituminous filler, applying bond breaker tape on top of filler board for complete width of joint and cleaning and removing material, dirt,and all loose material etc. completely with compressor air blower from joints and filling with polyurethane joint sealant compound using mechanical means to a depth of 10mm (depth minimun above back up rod) with minimum performance guarantee of 10 years and minimum Movement Accommodation Factor (MAF) + 30 % confirming to the requirement of BS:5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/water resistence test including two coats of primer and providing approved quality closed cell polythene back up rod of dia 25% more than the width of joint over joint filler board in position, applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant on is applied as required etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for repair to damaged broken edges of existing cement concrete slabs of taxi track by cutting to a depth 10 to 50 mm, cleaning the surface and removal of loose material, dust by blowers, disposal of rubish to a distance exceeding 50m but not exceeding 100m and applying evenly a coat of dencote 601 epoxy rich primer with sealer and filling in with Epoxy Resin denpatch compound complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for taking out of old sealing compound grade 'B', etc. and cleaning, removing dirt / loose foreign materials, etc. with compressor air blower from any type of joints and of any thickness and any depth of taxi tracks and runways with a raker, coir brush, etc. and filling joint with polyurethane joint sealant compound using mechanical means to a depth of 10mm (depth minimun above back up rod) including two coats of primer and providing approved quality closed cell polythene backup rod of dia 25% more than the width of joint placed over existing joint filler board in position, applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied as required, etc. complete all as specified and as directed for the following widths of joints:

Notes for BOQ srl item No. 15.00, 16.00, 17.00 and 18.00 : (i) Minimum Movement Accommodation Factor (MAF) shall be +30% conforming to the requirments as stipulated in BS:5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 (ii) Hydrolysis / water resistence test shall be catered as per relevant IS (iii) Joints dismantled, cleaned and filled as above shall bear a performance guarantee of minimum 10years from the date of completion. The Contractor has to submit the said guarantee in Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper to the Accepting Officer (iv) An amount @10% of the cost of joint filling shall be retained from the final bill till completion of above guarantee period. The Contractor may submit FDR of equal amounts in favour of the Accepting Officer for the purpose (v) Filling work shall be done as per manufacturer's instructions and as specified and directed (vi) All rubbish / retrieved materials shall be disposed off to a distance exceeding 100m but not exceeding 500m including necessary cartage, etc. as required

Joints upto 12mm in width, complete all as specified and directed.

Joints exceeding 12mm but not exceeding 25mm in width, complete all as specified and directed.

Joints exceeding 25mm but not exceeding 35mm in width, complete all as specified and directed.

Joints exceeding 35mm but upto any width, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting damaged / broken edges along dummy / construction / expansion joints using saw/suitable cutter, removing rubbish / refuse outside MD land and depositing where directed, cleaning the surfaces with air blowers and applying self levelling elastomeric concrete duly finished by means of trowel, mats, etc. over a coat of elastomeric primer complete all as specified and as directed Notes: (i) Work shall be got executed through authorised applicator of the manufacturer of elstomeric concrete as approved by GE (ii) Due care shall be taken in not damaging existing surfaces in the process. Any such damages caused shall be made good without accruing any extra cost to the Government

Dismantling structural steel work including doors, gates, FOD trap but excluding framed trusses complete all as specified and directed.

S&F mild steel framed work such as grills , grating etc with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted or forged into spikes , framed guard bars, barred iron doors , ladders, drain cover, balusters ; walk ways ; railings , frame work of water tanks and similar work conforming to Fe 290 Gde E-165 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of new steel surfaces exceeding 10 cm girth and apply two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of brick work built in any type of CM or cement lime mortar complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for brick work with sub class `B` bricks old size in CM 1:4 straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 15mm thick rendering in cement mortar 1:4 on brick or concrete surface & finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4, type B-1, (using 20mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates) as in coping, kerbs, benching and bed block etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.
