CONSULTANCY FOR SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR ADDN/ALTN AND SPECIAL REPAIRS TO SECURITY WALL AT INA EZHIMALA

Mobilization of 1 set of boring equipment for soil investigation and demobilization of equipment after completion of work including providing access to the site, clearing site and making good to erecting and conducting soil testing, transfers within the site and for any other temporary arrangements to be erected within the area in connection with conducting soil testing.

Setting of drilling rig at each bore locations and boring of 150 mm diameter Boreholes be made using rotary drilling and representative soil samples shall be collected from the boreholes. The depth of bore holes shall be minimum 10 m below the ground level or up to the refusal, whichever arrive earlier. Results shall be provided for 1m interval from Ground level onwards. (For Normal land) (a) Field investigation shall be carried out based on the site plan provided by client, showing the locations of the test point for each proposed wall. (b) Disturbed soil samples shall be taken by repeating the sampling procedures at every change in stratum or at intervals of 1m interval fromGround level onwards. Undisturbed samples shall be taken as per required basis as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (c) Water table in the borehole shall be recorded and reported. Submissions under this study include borehole logging sheet containing data on subsoil condition,stratification, arıd soil profile with graphical representation. d) Laboratory investigation for collected disturbed/Undisturbed samples: The soil samples be tested in the laboratory to evaluate the followings:- (i) Type of soil and its gradation (ii) Consistency limit (ii) Natural Density (iv) Natural Water Content (v) Shear Parameters (C-Phi Analysis) and consolidation test (for cohesive soil only)

Determination of Chemical Properties: The soil samples be tested in the laboratory to evaluate the following (a) PH (b) Sulpher Content (c) Chloride Content (d) Phosphorus content

Determination of physical and chemicel properties of Ground water shail include tests a pet, total hardness, etc

Total station surveying (approx 10700 sqm) and preparation of site plan for Determination of RL of ground level/ Founding level with reference to a BM

Preparation and submission of investigation report in triplicate which includes the following details and ve ting by any Govt Engg college/NIT (a) All bore holes details (b) Lab test details (c) SBC should be given at various depths (For security wall the SBC at depths of 1.20 m. 1.50m, 2.0m and 2.50m should be provided) (d) Photographic record of geo exploration as well as testing (e) Recommendation of foundation type for normal land and low lying area (under reamed piles with axial capacity and lateral capacity if any for low lying areas) (f) Recommendation as regards possibility of liquefaction of soil in case of saturated or partially saturated loose /uncompacted sandy soils if any (g) Swelling Index and swelling pressure in respect of Black cotton soil and its depth/layer if any.
