Interior Painting, Exterior Water Proofing and Structural Steel Painting Works from Ernakulam South to Petta Metro Stations

Schedule A - Interior Painting Works

Internal Walls: Providing and painting with premium acrylic emulsion paint of interior grade, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content less than 50 grams/ litre of approved brand and manufacture, repairing and sealing of joints/corners/junctions with suitable materials, repairing and sealing of cracks etc. Internal walls of all heights and all levels including scaffolding, rope ladder, movable scaffolding including platforms as required and all necessary equipments and consumables etc. Rates includes scaffoldings, crack filling, preparation of surface, providing surface covering/protection sheets and painting as per the specification. The material and method of application, no.of coats all as per technical specifications.

Cement based Putty: Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1-1.5 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.

Cement Primer: Applying one coat of water thinnable cement primer of approved brand and manufacture on wall surface: Water thinnable cement primer.

Internal Waterproofing: Wall painting with one component, ready-to-use, penetrative-cum-film forming interior waterproofing paint, including applying additional coats wherever required to achieve even shade and colour.

Steel Works: Finishing on steel works with Epoxy paint (two or more coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer’s specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, etc. complete.

Schedule B - External; Waterproof Painting Works

External Walls: Providing and painting with waterproof coating/painting, repairing and sealing of joints/corners/junctions with suitable materials, repairing and sealing of cracks etc. and providing and painting with surface paint in metro station building. External walls of all heights and all levels including scaffolding, rope ladder, scissor lift/boom lift as required and all necessary equipments and consumables etc. Rates includes preparation of surface as per the specification. The material and method of application, no.of coats all as per technical specifications.

Schedule C - Structural Steel Painting Works

PU Painting: Application of finishing coat of Polyurethane paint of minimum 40 micron thickness on surface which is not having any scaling. The work inclusive of cleaning the surface (roof truss at platform leveland station link bridges) with detergent/wire brush/emery paper/tools for inaccessible areaand making dust free. . the work shall be carried out as per the instruction of Engineer-in-charge and include all labour, materials, tools, plants, ladders, etc. all complete. The rate is inclusive of painting using rope hanging method or using ladder. Separate payment for scaffolding , working platforms, PP Spider net if used shall be paid under BOQ item no. 10

Epoxy Coating: Applying surface tolerant epoxy coating (ideal for maintenance coating compatible with firmly adhering aged coatings) in one/two coats with epoxy based primer and volume of solids not less than 75% . (Item to be used where surface is having scaling) The work inclusive of cleaning the surface (roof truss at platform level and station link bridges) with detergent/wire brush/emery paper/toolsfor inaccessible areas and making dust free. The rate is inclusive of painting using rope hanging method or using ladder. Seperate payment for scaffolding, working platforms and PP Spide net if used shall be paid under BOQ item no.10

Providing and fixing of scaffolding system/ working platforms or PP Spide net arrangements with necessary scaffolding, ladders, materials, machines upto the suitable height at platform roof shed and station link bridges with all leads, lifts, ascent, descent and transportation etc. All complete rates are inclusive of all highly skilled and semi-skilled labour. Work will be carried out strictly in non-operational hours as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Covering of flooring with tarpolin to avoid any stain mark at granite/epoxy floors on daily basis including labour charges for spreading and rolling back daily. (The dust collected should be disposed off to the specified place). (Note: This item shall be applicable only for structual steelpainting works)

Tightening of loose bolts of all sections bracings in roof truss structure, link bridges by fitter/ welder up to required torque using necessary tools and plants as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. Work will be carried out by using existing arrangements (scaffoldings, ladders, spider net etc.) made during the truss painitng of the same station. No extra payment will be given for height or any other arrangements.

Safety equipments i.e. Safety belts, helmets, HV vest, safety cones, reflective tapes, etc. for the total no. of labours at any particular station.

Providing welder/fitter or welding work along with welding machine to carryout welding as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including cost of consumables (electrodes).

Providing helper/beldar for miscellaneous civil works with all required T&P as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.
