Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil by manual /mechnical means including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, August, 2004 and clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of useful material for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. Recovery for stones whether usefull or not for 137.36 Cum @ Rupees 170.00 (One Hundred seventy only per cubic metre ) shall be done on prorata basis from each running bill of this item.

Earthwork in excavation for structures as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto a lead of 50 m, dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excavated suitable material complete including the hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and Laying concrete for plain/reinforced concrete P.C.C nominal mix 1:5:10 in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing weep holes in brick masonry/stone masonry, plain/reinforced concrete abutment, wing walls, return walls with 100mm (hundred millimeter) diameter PVC Pipe extending through the full width of structures with slope of 1 (Vertical) : 20 (Horizontal) towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specifications clauses 614, 709, 1204.3.7 including hauling of material in all leads, lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Backfilling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per drawings & technical specification Clause 1204.3.8 and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Stone soling properly hand packed filling interstices with kharanja stone and consolidating complete to the requested gradient and camber including spreading watering and binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HP.PWD. specification. 100mm spread thickness (finished workincluding materials and labour) including the hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Construction of un-reinforced, dowel jointed and construction joint only, plain cement concrete pavement, thickness as per design, over a prepared sub base, with 43 grade cement or any other type as per Clause 1501.2.2 ,M30 (Grade), with cement contents not less than 420.00 ( Four hundred twenty) Killogramme per Cubic Metres ,coarse and fine aggregates conforming to IS:383, maximum size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, mixed in a concrete mixer not less than 0.2 cum capacity and fixed side formwork including levelling the formwork as per drawing, spreading the concrete with shovels, rakes, compacted using needle, screed and plate vibrators and finished in continuous operation curing of concrete slabs for 14-days, using curing compound ( where specified ) and water finishing to lines and grade as per drawing and Technical specification clause 1501 including hauling of material within all leads and lifts and other incidental charges and as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
