Creation of 23790 Tree Saplings their Maintenance for a Period of One Year and Fencing around the CAMPA Plantation Area at Tughlakabad and Bhatti under South Forest Division

Complete Creation: Clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth up to 30 cm measured at a height of 1 m above ground level and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 50 m outside the periphery of the area cleared. (if required) Note: No native ground vegetation/ natural regeneration shall be removed/ disturbed from the plantation site. The jungle clearance may be kept minimum to protect the top soil from soil erosion. Area = 242500 sq.metres (24.25 hectares)

Digging pits in ordinary soil and refilling the same with the excavated earth mixed with manure or sludge in the ratio of 2:1 by volume (2 parts of stacked volume of earth after reduction by 20% : 1 part of stacked volume of manure after reduction by 8%) flooding with water, dressing including removal of rubbish and surplus earth, if any, with all leads and lifts (cost of manure, sludge or extra good earth if needed to be paid for separately). Providing good quality saplings of native forestry tree species having minimum 6 ft height, shifted in minimum 30 cm polybag for Ridge at plantation site. The site wise composition of Tree Species is given at Annexure A.

Supplying, stacking and providing of well-decayed cattle manure to all tree saplings at various plantation sites during creation including royalty and carriage up to 5 k.m. lead complete (Cattle manure measured in stacks will be reduced by 8% for Payment).(Refer item 1.02) 1 time x 0.056 cum per plant x 23790 plants = 1332 cum.

Supply and spreading of good quality Neem Cake manure free from any impurities for all tree saplings @100 grams per plant. (Refer item 1.02) 100 grams per plant x 23790 plants = 2379000 g (2379 Kg) Neem Cake

Supply and spreading of good quality Vermi Compost manure free from any impurities for all Tree Saplings @ 200 grams per plant. (Refer item 1.02) 200 grams per plant x 23790 plants = 4758000g (4758 kg) Vermi Compost.

Planting of Tree saplings at the Pits (60 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm) at various plantation sites including watering and removal of un-serviceable materials as per direction of officer in charge (excluding cost of plant & water). (Refer 1.02 & 1.03) Trees = 23790

Providing and watering of plants with Sewage Treated water through water tanker of Horticulture features at the site of work. Water tanker having 5000 liter capacity with one labor for watering including cost of water, filling of tanker, watering the plants at various plantation sites with all leads and lifts as per direction of Range Officer-in-charge. Watering to be done while undertaking plantation with 25 L of water per plant in well prepared water basin around each plant (including cost of water tanker and manpower) (2 times). The cost of water has been added for a distance leads upto 15 KM. 25 L of Water Per Plant x 2 Times x 23790 plants / 5000 = 237.9 number of trips of Water Tankers having capacity of 5000 Litres

Supply of Good quality Bamboo Sticks of minimum 6 feet in height (per sapling) for providing support to the Tree Saplings.

Complete maintenance of plantations including cultural operations (Weeding, Soil working, Mulching and canopy opening), watch and ward (Protection), irrigation, pest and disease management etc, for the period of one year after creation. As per norms, 01 person per hectare for watch and ward for 12 months. (01 x 30 days x 12 months x 24.25 Ha = 8730 Mandays) 05 Mandays/month for other operations. (05 x 12 months x 24.25 Ha = 1455)
