Drilling of NX size borehole in types of hard rock (fresh rock) and collection of rock core samples from boreholes and preserving in boxes as per specification and as directed by the Engg-in-charge.(Note: Max. drilling depth in rock strata = 3.0m in hard rock strata)
Taking out 100mm dia and 450mm long undisturbed/disturbed samples of soil from bore hles, including provision of air tight containers for packing and labeliing incl. transporting the samples to laboratory. Piston samples shall be used for extracting unsisturbed samples where necessary. samples shall be collected as per IS:2720
Conducting standered penitration test as per IS 2131 at various depths at every change of soil strata as required and as per specification and as directed by Engg-incharge.
Conducting required relavent laboratory tests of DS, SPT & UDS sample at various depths as per IS specification and submission of report in 3 copies showing soil profile bore logs and lab test results and recommendations of soil bearing capacity at shollow depths. The tests to be conducted include: (i) Hydrometer analysis (ii) sieve anlaysis (iii) Atterbergs limit (iv) Bulk density (v) Tryaxial test/Direct shear test (vi) Free swelling index (vii) In case of rock sample: Unconfined compression test
