Supply and fix in repairs of dismantling joint of 1800mm of specifications as PS clause 8.00 and the repair work as follows and the unit rate quoted shall deemed to include the cost of following : (i) Supply all the new dismantling joints and its associated fasteners, fittings along with its test reports on site (Prior drawing approval must be required as per PS Clause 8.00 from Engineer-in-Charge and user dept for newly suppling Dismantling joints and its accessories) (ii) Lowering of existing blanking off plate (BOP) on the sea side Butterfly valves (BFV - 1& 2 are from sea side and BFV 3 to 10 are dock side) in its position as user department suggested. (Note :- Yard will provide BOPs and technical support for operating BOP. Firm shall employ divers for cocking to ensure water tight integrity from sea side and other Misc. works) (iii) Open the valve and check for sea water ingress from other side of the valve to ensure water tight integrity of BOP. (iv) Cocking between BOP and its frustrum from sea side by divers to arrest the ingress of sea water if any.
(v) Ensure the watertight integrity at all times during execution of the job and periodical checks to be carried out by divers as suggested by user department/as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (vi) Clear and clean the debris/silt of bottom floor surface of dismantling joint & BFV valve and provide the civil /mechanical work support underneath the 1800mm BFV valve for load bearing purpose. (vii) Removal of grills in the dry dock and make feasible to entry into sump from dock floor if required. (viii) Disconnect the valve operating mechanism and preserve its components properly. (ix) Unlock and removal of fasteners connected to BFV valve to pipe and valve to dismantling joint of 1800mm. (x) Disconnect the dismantling joint and associated fasteners and remove from its position (xi) Provide suitable dia of 1800mm 02 in no dummies all the time at site if any emergencies/ sudden plans of docking activities.
(xii) Provide a 100 TPH submersible pump in the pit so as to ensure that residual water in the pits in nil at all points of time. The pump head should be sufficient to discharge the water outside the pump house towards the sea. Pump house at a level of -18M below sea level. Firm is not to depend on the availability of the pump house stripping pumps and should make its own arrangement for removal of water from the pits and pipelines. Any delay in work with regards to presence of water in the pits/pipelines is attributable to firm. (xiii) Clean and prepare the mating surfaces/ flanges of pipes on both sides and its surroundings properly. (xiv) Supply and fit the new gaskets (Nitrile/ Neoprene rubber hardness 70-80 Shore A, thickness min 10mm and above as suitable and suggested by dept) on pipe flanges and secure them properly.
(xv) Apply ceramic filled epoxy coating inside and outside of dismantling joint, BFV valve and pipe lines on both sides till wall structure, confirming to pull of adhesion standard D4541/ISO 4624 or user dept recommended, compression strength-ASTM D695 or user dept recommended with high performance and long life for high speed turbulent flow (proper care should be taken while applying anti-corrosive coating, the mating surfaces and the valve seating are to be protected properly. (xvi) Fit the operating mechanism of the valve and check for its operation both manually and with power. (xvii) Check free condition of the dismantling joint and prepare for lowering in its position. (xviii) Fit the new dismantling joint along with all associated accessories includes fasteners, rubber seal, gaskets etc., as specified and directed and secure all the flanges properly. (xix) Check the operation of the valve both manually and with power and record the timings.
(xx) Keep the valve in close position. (xxi) Remove the cocking material between BOP and its frusturm from sea side by divers and ensure no waste material in the vicinity. (xxii) Fill up the water in the cavity between BF valve and BOP to reduce the sea side pressure on BOP. (xxiii) Lift the blanking off plate (BOP) and secure it properly. (xxiv) Carry out final trails of the valves during dry dock operation. (xxv) Provide the additional concrete support on the sump side which is removed for accommodating spanners during removal of fasteners. Note :- The tools, lightings, cutting & welding machines, lifting materials, jigs and fixtures required for the renewal of dismantling joints to be arranged by its own and the assessment of material to be carried out by taking a physical site survey on or before quote the tender.
Material & Labour for cleaning of the valve pit removal of sludge, debris from the valve pit and out of the pump house, pressure testing of entire length of pipe after fitment must be hydro pressure tested to 10kg/cm2 for atleast 20min and fabrication of support of re-embersment of cover by making groove MS of 15 mm plate and MS 10 nos angles/300mm channels Fabrication of support of MS of 15 mm plate of design suitable to take the load of valve along with the gear box, extension rod and Actuator. Approx. 8 ton, and fixing the support by grouting the fabricated support to the foundation also cover the fabricated support with cement mortar using quick solidifying ready mix.
