The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face + one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. PUMPING MACHINERY Supply of submersible pumping set of KSB /Kirloskar/Calama/Johnston/Oswal make comprising to latest relevant BIS Code. The pump should be fitted with impeller of suitable alloys as per IS 8034-1976 latest suitable for Raw water having greased packed bearings and shaft with wound stator on motor side and with soft protection sleeve on pump side ensuring better life for shaft coupled to a submersible squirrel cage electric induction motor (water proof type) of required HP, RPM 2900 of reputed make conforming to BIS 9238-1979 latest with upto date amendments, totally dust and water proof for submersible duty isolated from the pump by intermediate casing with double mechanical seal in oil chamber and grease packed lubricated bearings and provided with stainless steel thrust bearing plate to with stand non vertical loads with minimum wear and tear. It should also be fitted with a device to take up expansion of water with the heating of motor. The pump set should include water level guards, erection clamps , cable clips and depth gauge etc. and suitable for operation on data given below:- (Please refere to Data Sheet-I for Pumping machinery specification)
Supply of oil immersed start delta starter of MEI/Killburn/standred make conforming to BIS 8544-1979 latest with upto date amendments for squirrel cage induction motor (make to be specified by the tenderers) mounted on panel board with magnetic type over load release and gas-pots, time legs, under voltage release & initial oil filing .
Supply of MS. Angle iron steel sheet 16 SWG fabricated floor mounting closed (Almirah type) switch board comprising and capable of mounting the following accessories and with all internal electric connections, duly painted. The drawing of panel board shall be subject to approval of Engineer-in-Charge.
ICTP switches with HRC fuses of Havells/L&T/standard /cromption make for required motor of suitable capacity and conforming to BIS: 4064-1978 latest with upto date amendments.

Providing and laying suitable size copper PVC insulated armoured power 3.5 core cable conforming to BIS 1554 (part-I) –1988 of latest with upto date amendments siemen/closter/ICC make form meter of HPSEB- to MCB and form MCB to Bus bar switch and starter (one cable carrying all three phases) including all other electrical equipment/accessories such as thimbles, flexible pipe solder, nuts and bolts, cable glands, etc. laid in pipes of trenches under floor. Providing and laying double loop earthing with copper plate complete with material such as charcoal, common salt, GI. Pipes, thimbles, nuts and bolts, digging of pits, GI. Wiring and copper strips of required capacity conforming to BIS: 3043-1987 latest with upto date amendments for above motors and other electrical equipment’s.
Supply of standard make circular dial pressure gauge 0.11 kg/cm2 range of feibig make with all accessories such s stop cock, copper tubing etc, conforming to BIS: 3624-1987 latest with upto date amendments.
Providing and laying delivery pipe 250 mm dia. and common header 300 mm dia MSERW/GMS Tubes (Medium Class) (IS:1239 - 1979) jointed with MS flanges of table-5 as per IS: 3589-2001 (upto a length of 20 mtrs ) including rappers, flanges, rubber gaskets, nuts and bolts and specials upto 5 mtrs away from the outer wall of pump houses as per layout drawings approved by Engineer-in-Charge.
Supply of floor/wall mounted power factor shunt capacitor conforming to BIS: 2834-1986 latest with upto date amendments Baja/L&T/Asian/cromption make to raise the prevailing power factor at site to 0.95 for direct connection to induction motor individually of suitable rating each including cable of siemens/Gloster/ICC make form bus bar chamber to capacitor and also including L&T/LK/Kilburn make ICTP switches conforming to BIS –4064-1978 or latest with HRC fuses (range to be specified by the tendrerer).

Erection of all equipment from Sen. 1 to 4,6,7,9 ,11 & 14 including cost of tees, bends, tapers and any other fittings required as per site conditions and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing double flanged MSERW piping work layout to be approved by the Engineer-in-Charge for suction and delivery pipes suitable to pump(s) offered and common header as per the rising main respectively complete with all specials such as bends ,tees reducers/ increasers with companion flanges matching with the relevant specifications of the accessories as indicated in the drawing No.2 including rubber/asbestos gasket of minimum 3mm thickness as per IS 2712-1979 and required number of nuts and volts as per IS: 1364-1983. The pipes shall be as per relevant IS Code and to withstand 1.5 times total head stipulated under item No.1.
The size of the various components to be as under:-
(i) Suction pipe: 300mm dia flanged with table-5
(ii) Delivery pipe : 250mm dia flanged with table-17
(iii) Common Header : 300mm dia flanged with table-17
And will extend up to 5 meters from the outer wall of the pump house in the direction to be jointed.
Prov. & Fixing Havels/Gloster/National make three core Copper conductor cable sutable for AC supply up to 1100 Volt conforming to IS 694 or IS 1554
Providing and fixing double loop earthing and copper plate 600mmx600mmx3mm thick electrode complete with material such as thimbles, nuts and bolts, charcoal and common salt, 25mmx6mm copper & G.I. wire as per IS: 3043-1987 with up to date amendments for motors and other electrical equipments and digging of pits etc. complete in all respect.
Providing and welding MS flanges at suitablepoint,conforming to following tables as per IS: 6392-1971 (Latest withupto date amendmenets) with plain end GMS/ MSERW pipe in requiste number of layerson hoth faces to make the joint leak proof (The cost of providing and laying of MSERW pipes to be measured and paid for seprately). The welding of flnages should conform to IS: 816-1969 with electrods as per IS: 814-1991 and required number of nuts bolts conforming to IS: 1364 including cost of gasket sheet nuts and bolts. The thickness of gakset sheet not less than 3 mm conforming to IS:2712-1998. The work shall be done to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-carge.
