Schedule'A' Part-I: E&M works

Materials and labour for earthing complete with galvanised iron earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick, burried directly and preferably vertically in ground, earth pit not less than 2.25 Mtr deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level connected with GI lead wire 4.0mm dia by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers , earthing lead to be protected by galvanised iron pipe of 20mm bore (medium grade) and other end connected to earthing test point or lightening arrestor or main controlling switch as directed including providing funnel with 20mm bore galvanised iron pipe (medium grade), wire mesh, charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layer of 15cm (compacted thickness) all round the earth electrode, concrete earth pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 (with 20mm graded aggregate), 50mm thick precast RCC (1:2:4) cover slab (re-inforced with 8mm dia TMT bar @ 15 cm C/C bothways and suitable handle made of 10mm dia) including necessary earth work in excavation, returning filling and removal of surplus earth upto a distance not exceeding 50 m etc all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part-I(2009) complete including testing on completion including taking down old unserviciable earthing set all as specified and as directed. Notes:- (i) Main earthing strip from earth plate electrode to rest point upto length of 7.5 meters length shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted against this item. (ii) On testing after completion if the desired resistenance is not obtained the contractor shall redo the earthing without any extra cost to the department.

Material and labour for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead of 4mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire fixed to wall on batten or recessed or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing strip of 25x4mm galvanised iron fixed to wall on batten or recessed or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing strip of 32x6mm galvanised iron fixed to wall on batten or recessed or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing strip of 20x3mm copper fixed to wall on batten or recessed or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc, complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour for preparation of external surface of LT steel tubular pole 9.0 mtr long by scrubbing with emery paper,one coat of red oxide and carry out two coat of aluminium paint on portion above the ground (7.5 Rm) of black and white paint alternate strips each 30 cm upto 1.2 mtr from the ground level and one coat of aluminium paint over the remaining portion including all cross arms, bracings, clamps, etc and marking the pole Nos complete all as specified and directed.

NOTES :- 1. The amount of schedule of credit shall be deducted from the total of this BOQ for arriving at contract sum. 2. Unless otherwise specified the rates for PCC shall deemed to include the cost of formwork shuttering etc, required for complete and proper execution of the work. Refer Schedule 'A' notes for details.
