Disconnecting and taking out defective UG cable from trench/pole/pipe/floor/wall etc locate the fault, rectify the defects and relaying the XLPE cable UG PVC insulated and overall sheathed aluminium conductor heavy duty LT/HT 1.1/11 KV grade, connecting and testing for any size of cable complete all specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: Excavation/earth work shall be measured and paid separaterly under relevant items of schedule.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m depth for laying of cables etc and getting out in soft loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25cm in soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point as in soil complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for filling approved river sand in trenches for sand cushioning of laying of cables to the full width of excavated trench 08 cm thick before laying the cable and 15 cm above the cable, gently punned down, stretching and testing of cable on transformer yard etc complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Thickness of sand cushioning after punning down ie 18cm only shall be measured for payment.

M&L for brick protection cover of UG cable by old size bricks common burnt clay building bricks sub class `B’ laid dry and flat abutting each other with width equal to length of brick and gap between adjacent brick not exceeding 10mm complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting the existing cable from panel/pole, preparing the end for jointing including all earth work and S & F end joint kit in replacement for 1.1 KV grade suitable for outdoor/indoor type terminal heat shrinkable type joints with jointing material for 3.5 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 185 to 300 Sqmm complete all as specified and directed.

Repair/Maintenance of any type any size LT panel by opening all incoming and outgoing LT cable connection and reconnecting the LT cable in proper manner by changing all burnt lugs and proper insulation of all nacked cable incl cleaning of panel with blower from inside and removing all grass and bushes around the panel up to 2 mtr distance incl Painting of panel one coat of synthetic enamel paint of grey colour, welding work for repair of broken hinges, doors, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply Installation Testing and Commissioning of a set of maintenance free tripod earthing system consisting of 3 No. of Copper Bonded Earth Rod of 10 feet length, 17.2 mm dia made of high tensile low carbon steel circular rods, molecularly bonded with 99.9% electrolytic grade copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness-250 microns) with exothermically jointed copper bus bar of 150x50x6mm for long lasting and connection . Each copper bonded rod and the exothermically jointed busbar both should be CPRI tested on at least 25KA Fault current to ensuring the high current carrying capacity of the system and earth rod should be certified by Underwriter laboratories confirming to comply with UL467 international standard for grounding and bonding equipment. Each rod should be used with minimum 50kg earth enhancing compound that should be ROHS tested and have passed , Resisitivity of the earth enhancing compond should be less than 0.05 ohm meter - an international standard for Earth Enhancement Compound by NABL accredit Lab., complete all as specified and directed. Note : The rate for interconnection of tripod earth with Copper strip of size 20x3 mm and poly carbonate earth pit cover -03 Nos shall deemed to be included in the quoted rates. The Earth result should be less than 1 ohm and the result will be checkedin presence of user rep & MES Rep complete all as specified and directed. If the desired earth resistance is not achieved then entire earthing shall be re-done by contractor without accruing any extra cost to the government.

Note:- (i) cost of earth strip and GI pipe for protection of earth strip deemed to be included in unit rate up to 7.5 meter. (ii) On testing if the desired earth resistance is not obtained, entire earthing shall be re-done by contractor till desired earth resistance is not obtained without accruing any extra cost to the Department.
