Survey of cable route as per instruction of site Engineer

Excavation of soil for formation of cable trench and reinstatement of the cable trench with the excavated soil after completion of laying and dressing of 33 KV grade 3x400 SQMM XLPE UG cable and cable protection work as per specification and direction of the site Engineer. Size of cable trench should be at least 600x1200 mm and the depth must not be less than 1200 mm with 75 mm sand level at the base filling the space between cable and bricks with yellow sand and protection on sides and top by 24 Nos. good quality bricks per meter and the rest space should be filled up with excavated soil. Loop is to be provided at the foot of the cable end Rail DP on both end having minimum bending diameter of 3.5 meter. Leveling up and restoring surface to its original condition has to be done by the contractor at its own arrangement and cost as per specification and direction of the site Engineer

Laying and dressing of 33 KV grade 3x400 SQMM XLPE cable with necessary looping arrangement in the excavated trench as per specification and direction of the site Engineer.

Drawl of 33 KV grade, 1 no 3 X 400 sq. mm. XLPE cable across the metal road through micro tunneling using good quality 200 mm dia, PE 80, PN- 6 HDPE PIPE having 10 mm thickness including supply of HDPE pipe .

Raising of 33 KV grade, 3 x 400 sq. mm. XLPE cable upto 4 meters through 6 mtrs. long medium duty GI pipe of 150 mm. dia (make Tata/Jindal) and fixing with terminal structures with supply of G.I pipe and MS clamp, Nuts, Bolts & washer with brick protection in between pipe and cable etc. including proper earthing.( G.I. pipe is to be supplied by the contractor)

Making of jointing pits by excavation of soil for making straight through joints of 33 KV grade 3 X 400 sq mm XLPE cable at located points of the cable route with necessary arrangements for temporary shoring, shuttering and bailing out of water from the pit manually or with the help of pump. Provision has to be made to keep loop of the cable at each point of straight through joint.

Necessary arrangements for properly covering top and all sides of jointing pits with tarpaulin/ Polythene sheet has to be made at the time of jointing. Also required manpower is to be provided to help the cable jointer for straightening the cable at the joint location and re arrangement of cable loops until completion of jointing and necessary lighting arrangement is to be done if required. Jointing kit for straight through joint and end termination joint will be supplied by WBSEDCL and the work of jointing will be done by WBSEDCL’s own personnel or other agency.

Installation of protection duct for jointing pit by excavation of soil including supply and fixing of RCC slabs, bricks, sand and cement etc. as per specification and restoration of soil surface to its original condition as per direction of the site Engineer. Excavation not exceeding 1.5Mtr,filling in foundation or plinth by fine Sand in layers not exceeding 300mm,single brick flat soiling by picked Jhama Brick including ramming and dressing bed to proper, ordinary cement concrete (Mix-1:2:4) M-20 with graded stone chips (20mm down) 100 mm thick over soiling, brick work with 1st class bricks in cement mortar (4:1) over concrete, plaster to full wall with sand and cement mortar(4:1) 15mm thick , neat cement half of wall, and top cover in three pieces with lifting lug with RCC (1:1.5:3), 100 mm thickness.

Supply and erection of cast iron cable marker on concrete foundation blocks at a span of 100 mtr on the straight run, road crossing and loop for 33 KV grade , 3 x 400 sq. mm. XLPE cable including engraving size of cable , voltage grade with durable paint over the top of the marker and to be erected in such a way that no one can pull it out easily.
