Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including disposal of excavated earth, lead up to 50 m and lift up to 1.5 m, disposed earth to be levelled and neatly dressed. All kinds of soil. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
Construction of granular sub-base by providing graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401. Grading-III -For lower sub base - Mix in Place Method. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to Wet Mix Macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density.Note: 1. Though vibratory roller is required only for 3 hours as per norms, the same is required to be available at site for 6 hours to match with other machines. The usage rates of vibratory roller may be multiplied with a factor of 0.652. As three wheeled smooth steel rollers are commonly in use, the same has been provided as an alternative which can be used if the thickness of individual layer does not exceed 100 mm. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion ( SS) on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 - 1.0 kg/sqm using mechanical means. Note: Bitumen primer has been provided @ 0.70 kg per sqm as per clause 502.8. Payment shall be made with adjustment, plus or minus, for the variation between this quantity and the actual quantity approved by the Engineer after the preliminary trials referred to in clause No. 502.4.3. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion( RS) using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 - 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface cleaned with mechanical broom. Note: 1. Bitumen emulsion has been provided @ 0.20 kg per sqm as per clause 503.8. Payment shall be made with adjustment, plus or minus, for the variation between this quantity and actual quantity approved by the Engineer after preliminary trials referred to in clause No. 503.4.3. 2. An output of 3500 sqm has been considered in case of prime coat and tack coat which can be covered by bituminous courses on the same day. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
Providing and laying bituminous macadam with 80-100 TPH hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder (VG 30), transported to site, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment and rolled as per clauses 501.6 and 501.7 to achieve the desired compaction. For Grading I ( 40 mm nominal size). Note: 1. Although the rollers are required only for 3 hours as per norms of output, but the same have to be available at site for six hours as the hot mix plant and paver will take six hours for mixing and paving the output of 450 tonnes considered in this analysis. To cater for the idle period of these rollers, their usage rates have been multiplied by a factor of 0.65. 2.Quantity of Bitumen has been taken for analysis purpose. The actual quantity will depend upon job mix formula. 3. Labour for traffic control, watch and ward and other miscellaneous duties at site including sundries have been included in administrative overheads of the contractor. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
Providing and laying bituminous concrete with 80-100 TPH hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder( NRMB) @ 5.4 per cent of mix and filler with Anti stripping additive (Zycosoil) material 1.0 kg per 1 tonne of bitumen, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MORTH specification clause No. 507 complete in all respects. Grading - II (13.2 mm Nominal Size). Note: *1. Although the rollers are required only for 3 hours as per norms of output, but the same have to be available at site for six hours as the hot mix plant and paver will take six hours for mixing and paving the output of 450 tonnes considered in this analysis. To cater for the idle period of these rollers, their usage rates have been multiplied by a factor of 0.65 2.Quantity of Bitumen has been taken for analysis purpose. The actual quantity will depend upon job mix formula.3. Labour for traffic control, watch and ward and other miscellaneous duties at site including sundries have been included in administrative overheads of the contractor.4. In case BC is laid over freshly laid tack coat, provision of mechanical broom and 2 mazdoors shall be deleted as the same has been included in the cost of tack coat.5. The individual density for each size of aggregates to be used for construction i.e. 37.5-25 mm, 25-10 mm etc. should be found in the laboratory and accordingly the quantities should be ammended for use in field. The average density of 1.5 tonne/cum is only a reference density in this Data Book.6. The individual percentage of aggregates should be calculated from the total weight of dry aggregates i.e.. excluding the weight of bitumen. The weight of filler will also be 2 per cent by weight of dry aggregates. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
Supplying and stacking quarry dust of 3mm and down particle upto 150 micron minimum size and stacking in standard heaps for measurement including cast, conveyance to site and spreading over the premix chipping carpet etc. complete as per the direction of Enginner - in - charge. The rate is inclusive of all material charge, labour, transportation, scaffolding (if needed) loading/ unloading at the work space etc complete as per the direction of engineer in charge.
