M 10 Clearance readings of Port and Stbd stern tubes, ‘A’ and ‘P’ brackets bearings are to be taken with poker gauges immediately after docking and immediately prior to undocking with class surveyor. A report is to be rendered giving comparative assessment of clearance readings w.r.t initial readings. Report is to be duly vetted by CGRPT staff/ OEM / Class surveyor. Assistance for Bearing replacement if clearance more than limit value. Bearing CG supply.
M 11 The propulsion shafts along with associated systems/components to be removed and dismantled for carrying out repairs/replacements. The scope of work includes following: (a) Removal of eddy cone, eddy plates, rope guards, Plummer block bearings, bulkhead seal assembly, sleeve couplings, all accessories and associated sensors fitted on shaft line (e.g torsion meter, shaft grounding strip etc). (b) Both sides (PORT and STBD) shafts to be withdrawn fully. True shaft line to be established by undertaking Line of Sight taking gearbox output flange as master reference as per the QAP for shaft line repairs under supervision of Class surveyor (3 times to be considered). (c ) Vendor shall Provide QAP for entire shafting job including LOS and then proving of CPP in order to submit to the class surveyor. (d) Break chock fast and undertake fresh chock fasting wherever applicable to achieve established true shaft line (Chockfast – Yard Supply). (e) Insert and reassemble shaft lines including flange coupling. Undertake necessary alignments. (f) On assembly of shaft line, associated components/subassemblies and CPP system, complete CPP system to be flushed out and refilled with fresh oil (oil CG supply). (g) Alignment of intermediate shaft and adjustment of shaft loading as per OEM protocol. (h) STW of propulsion system including shaft line in association with ICG. All in-way jobs for proving of shafting and CPP system included. (i) Vendor shall consider DP test/MPI of propeller/shafts by certified person as per class rule.
