REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT OF GI PIPE AND NRV, GATE VALVE OF VARIOUS SIZE AND CONNECTED WORK KOTDWARA UNDER AGE I LANSDOWNE

Excavating in trenches n'exc 1.5 m width and n'exc 1.5 m in depth for foundation etc / for laying of cable/ pipe etc n'exc 10 sqm on plan and n'exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm. complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance n'exc. 50 Mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up or down steel water tubing (GI Pipe) and connections of following bore complete all as specified and as directed :- Note:- Site of work may be in any pumping installation/ distribution system at Kotdwara.

S&F galvanised steel water tubing (GI pipe), medium grade with screwed joints or welded joints all as per site requirment incl all fittings (ISI Marked) and fixed to wall, floor and ceiling or laid in trenches of following bore complete all as specified and as directed :- Note :- Site of fixing may be in any pumping installation/ distribution system at Kotdwara.

S&F in replacement GI fitting Bends, Socket , Union, Flange, Nipple etc (Heavy duty) of size 15 mm to 100 mm dia complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Site of fixing may be in any pumping installation/distribution system at Kotdwara.

Disconnecting and taking down the existing unserviceable sluice valve 150 mm dia installed in position and removed from site and Supply, Fixing, testing and connecting cast iron sluice valve heavy duty double flanged, 150 mm dia PN 1.6 confirming to IS 14846: 2000 ISI marked with Stainless steel spindle and two nos of MS flange of 16mm thick, 8 holes with nuts and bolts packing materials complete including cutting the existing watermain for fixing cast iron sluice valve and jointing welding complete required at site of water supply installations complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Site of fixing may be in any pumping installation/ distribution system at Kotdwara

Disconnecting and taking down the existing unserviceable non return valves of cast iron and supply installing and testing of heavy duty cast iron non return valve PN 1.6 confirming IS 5312-1 (2004) ISI marked along with two Nos of heavy duty flange 16 mm thick, 8 hole sluitable for 100 mm dia with all fixing accessories such as suitable size nut and bolts of 16 Nos, packing material of leather buffalo including cutting the existing water main of 100 mm dia for fixing the non return valve, welding jointing complete as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting and taking down the unserviceable gun metal gate valve 50 mm dia from installed position and removed from site and Supply, fixing, testing and connecting Gun metal gate valves of size 50mm ISI marked confirmming to IS 778-1984 with iron wheel head, screwed both endsfor GI pipe complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Site of fixing may be in any pumping installation/ distribution system at Kotdwara

M&L Construction of brick masonry valve chamber (as per standard drwaing) of internal size 900x900x900mm with sub class 'B' bricks in cement mortar 1:6 with 2mm thick MS sheet cover and angle iron frame made out of 40x40x6mm angle with locking arrangement duly painted with two coat of bitumen paint over a coat of red oxide primer incl necessary earth work and excavating in soft loose soil returning filling in removal of surplus soil complete incl 100 mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type B-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) in base concrete and 50 mm thick coping PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 (using 12.50 mm graded stone aggregate) over brick wall top incl. two coats of snowcem rendering plastering work complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Fixing in repair valve pit chamber top cover of size 900x900 mm made with 2mm thick MS sheet with supporting MS angle iron frame made out of 40x40x6mm and painting with two coat of bitumen paint over a coat of red oxid primer and locking arrangment complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair GI elbows/bend/unions/sockets/ tees/nipple with welding joint of 100mm/80mm water mains both ends for making leak proof as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The cost of Fittings such as elbows/bend/unions/sockets/ tees/nipple etc shall be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.

M&L for cutting the existing floor/ roads for laying of GI pipe line and making good the distrubed surface with PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm stone aggregate) complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting the existing non functional submersible pump set from electric supply from panel dismantling axisting CI bend from non returning valve, removing and lifting out submersible pump set of any description and any capacity & in any position, alongwith existing cloumn pipe 100mm dia and existing submersible cable of any size from the bore ( appx 400 feet depth of pump set from GL) and stacking the pump and column pipes near by the bore well for inspection complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Contractor shall taken precautions while lifting out and removing the pump set frfom bore well so as to avoid any damage to column pipe and submersible cables, all necessaqry T&P and equipments require for lifting out pump set etc shall be arrange by Contractor at his own cost. (ii) Nos of column pipe may vary from 30 to 50, the existing pipe , screw and sockets, joints shall be checked for its serviceability and unserviceable joints alongwith falnge shall be removed from the column pipe by cutting the pipes and making new thread in pipes for fixing of new sockets and nut bolts, the cost of same shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate of the above items, however cleaning of pipes if any any required shall be measured and paid seperately.

Taking out & removing old burnt out windings of the submersible electric motor of any capacity, three phase, 415 Volts, 50 Hz, AC Supply capacity and rewinding of submersible electric motors with existing size PVC insulated, copper conductor wire including cleaning the slots with carbon tetra chloride solution before reqinding, transportation to site complete all as specified and directed.

Lowering down of the submersible pump set of any description and any capacity & in any position, in bore well alongwith existing column pipe and submersible cable of any size (apprimately 400 feet depth of pump set from GL) including making necessary electric connections and testing the pump set after lowering complete all as specified and directed NOTES : (i) Contractor shall taken proper precautions while lowering pump set in bore well so as to avoid any damage to column pipe and submersible cables, all necessaqry T&P and equipments require for lifting out pump set etc shall be arrange by Contractor at his own cost. (ii) Rates quoted by the contractor for the above item includes the cost of assembling and connecting pump set to column pipes and assembling , jointing and fixing column pipes with MS internally threaded flange welded with column pipe by using 04 Nos 20 x 3mm MS Strips and therafter jointed with rubber gasket joints and nuts /pump sets at the end / submersible cable and making necessary connections and testing including reconnecting waqter supply system. The required material like column pipe / flange with rubber gasket joints repaired pump sets etc shall be met out with all retrived materila and addl qty of colum,n pipe , flange with rubber gasket joint, submersible cable & straight through joint of cable shall be measured and paid sepearately under respective item of this Schedule as 'Supply only" but the rate for its fixing shall be deemed to included under this item.

Supply and fixing in repair ball valves of 15mm dia high pressure with PTMT with epoxy coated aluminium rod and high density plastic ball, complete, screwed for iron pipe and fixed. (min weight 142 gm) complete all as specified and directed.
