General Notes: 1) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand confirming to Zone-II from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision) 2) The make/model/brand for all the BOQ items shall be as per suggestive makes of Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document. These makes are merely for guidance and bidders can prefer any other make which is meeting technical specifications given under Section-V and Schedule of Quantities of Tender document and shall confirm to the relevant BIS codes and other relevant codes. However, the bidder may suggest any equivelent make/ model/brand meeting technical parameters on or before pre-bid conference for approval of BARC(V). 3) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 4) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete.
5) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area. 6) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor. 7) "Substrcture" referes to the part of structure upto top level of ground floor grade slab and "Superstructure"refers to the part of structure above the top of the ground floor grade slab. 8) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document "General Scope of all works" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items. 9) The quoted rates shall include necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges,etc. and all other charges to supply all the required construction materials. 10) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer only latest revisions including all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed.
11)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission of relavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC. 12) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost. 13) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etc for all the naturally available construction materials before submitting the RA bills.
EARTH WORK EXCAVATION Note : The rate quoted for earth work excavation by contractor is deemed to have included the following points (a) to (j) a) removal of all kinds of vegetation, small shrubs, light/heavy jungle, trees etc., alongwith roots, including disposal/stack in the identified location. b) shoring, strutting, stepping, dressing, grading required for keeping the earth in position on sides of trenches with approved timber/steel accessories wherever necessary to prevent sides from falling including bailing or pumping out of water if necessary including removal of debris/unserviceable materials and excavated excess soil, if any. c) dewatering of both ground and surface water, including removal of slurry generated while excavation and keeping the area free from water, to be let out of the building area through proper pipes & channels if required by suitable pumps, d) watering, ramming and thoroughly consolidate the bottom of all excavations & ground before the construction of foundation/footing/plinth beam, filling in basement or other work is commenced.
e) the loose pockets shall be excavated and compacted after back filling as directed by Engineer-in-charge, as per detailed specification and conforming to safety rules during progress of the work. f) Contour levels to be taken jointly with the Engineer-in-charge and prior written approval be taken before starting any excavation/ filling at every 3 m grids for arriving at the actual quantity, g) Backfilling will be done in layers of thickness as specified below. h) Cost inclusive of necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges and other charges to supply all the required construction materials, i) cost of items shall include all labour charges, hire charges of machinery, lubricants, fuels and tests etc. j) Measurement/Payment will be reststicted to PCC/drawing dimensions only.
Clearing Jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth up to 30 cm measured at a height of 1m above ground level and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 50 m / outside the periphery of the area cleared as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Supplying and injecting with approved quality chemical emulsion (Imidacloprid) at the rates and concentrations as per IS 6313 Part II for preconstructional anti termite treatment and creating a chemical barrier under and around the foundations, masonry pits, masonry foundations, wall trenches, plinth filling, junctions of wall and floor, expansion joints, surfaces of RCC works for a depth of min. 500mm from the finished ground level, surrounding pipes, conduits etc., walls retaining soil above floor level, apron and drain along the perimeter of the building including all associated works complete as per specification / IS 6313 and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (only ground floor plinth area of the building will be measured for the payment in the following three stages). a) 20% after completion of the foundations/plinth beam. b) 50% after completion of the ground floor flooring. c) 30% after completion of all treatment works including ground floor doors & windows and around the building. Work to be executed by approved agency and specified guarantee for 10 (Ten) years shall be furnished by the tenderer. Payment will be cleared only after submission of Guarantee.
Murum Filling under floors of specified thick in layers of not more than 250 mm thick including supplying required materials, each layer well rammed, watering and consolidation, including breaking clods, storing, transportation, rammer/hand roller to achieve required density (90% to 95%) at optimum moisture content, with a maximum lead of 2km and lifts, bailing/ pumping out of water to keep site dry while backfilling. Cost shall include conveyance of all materials, labour, machinery, seigniorage charges etc. complete. The rate quoted shall include loading, unloading, hire and fuel charges for tools and plants and other incidental charges etc. complete all as per drawings and technial specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (only consolidated thickness will be measured and paid for) ( using murrum available at site)
Filling of areas with Murrum/gravel brought from outside BARC ,including loading, transporting with the with a maximum lead of 2km, unloading to filling site, spreading in layers not more than 250 mm thick and compacting each layer with suitable vibratory roller of 8 to 10 ton capacity power roller to achieve 90 to 95% proctor density at optimum moisture content with all lifts, bailing/ pumping out of water to keep the site dry while backfilling, etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Note : The rates in respect of the above item, the net quantities arrived as per the actual difference in levels jointly taken by the department and the contractor after compaction of the earth as mentioned in the item description. However where it is not possible to take levels the net quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and soft rock @ 50% in respect of hard rock from the corresponding truck/stack measurements.
Supplying, lowering, laying, approved RCC Pipes (Class NP2) of IS:458 with necessary collars, laid to correct grade & levels at all depth, including cutting to lengths, jointing with hemp yarn & cement mortar 1:1, caulking the joints, & finishing, curing, testing all as per technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Cost including materials and labour. including hoisting, placing in position by manual or mechanical means and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge including testing of joints etc. complete. Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:3:6 (1 cement, 3 river Coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand, 6 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 mm) at all elevations including consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding the cost of form work shuttering, centering all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:2:4 (1 cement, 2 coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand, 4 graded stone aggregate of nominal size 20 mm) at all elevations including consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding the cost of formwork shuttering, centering all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying design mix reinforced cement concrete of M30 Grade by weigh batching using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size and coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved Brand and quality, including handling & transportation, scaffolding, mechanical mixing, placing to required location by hoisting and / or pumping & mechanical vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing, hacking of concrete surfaces wherever required etc. complete at all levels in substructure/superstructure as per specifications & also including dewatering, if any, complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding formwork, shuttering and steel reinforcement. Note: Temparature raised due to heat of hydration shall be kept within limits in raft/mass concrete by keeping proper curing mechnism.

Providing and laying 60mm thick factory made cement concrete interlocking paver block of M-30 grade (using coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand) made by block making machines with strong vibratory compaction and approved size, shape, design laid in required colour and pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of crushed sand, filling the joints with crushed sand. Cost including mix design of RCC, labour, materials, finishing, curing, testing etc. all complete as drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-inCharge.
Providing and fixing at or near ground level precast cement concrete 1:2:4 in kerbs, edgings etc. as per approved patterns and setting in position with C.M 1:3 (using coarse river sand) including consolidation, curing, cost of required centering, shuttering, finishing smooth with 6 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 (using fine river sand) on exposed surfaces, transporting to site complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing , centering ,shuttering Form work using Film faced plywood to get a neat form finish surface for all types of structures including necessary strutting, steel frame work/H-beams, steel proping, staging, supports etc and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

Super structure for all height up to a clear storey height of 5m
Note: 1) 1.2mm dia annealed GI coated binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment. 2) Fe-500D / Fe-500EQR bars as per IS to be supplied by the contractor 3) Reinforcement bars from conversion agents / re-rollers of above manufacturers, will not be accepted. 4) No extra payment will be made on account of Rolling Margin & wastage. 5) Contractor shall supply copy of the documentry evidence of purchase of steel, test certificate from these manufacturers and also test from third party to be carried out at no extra cost.
Providing Reinforcement steel of all diameters for reinforced cement concrete at all levels. including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, transporting to all elevations, placing and keeping in positions, all leads, fixing, tieing with 1.2 mm dia annealed GI coated binding wire including all labour charges, cost of cover blocks (in same grade of concrete) of various thicknesses and sizes etc. all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Using TMT Bars of Specified Grades of all sizes. TMT bars to be supplied by the contractor only of grade - Fe 500D / Fe-500EQR.
Note: 1) Structural steel required for the work shall not be supplied by the Department. 2) Structural steel confirming to IS 2062 shall be supplied from their own plants rolled from virgin materials to be procured directly or from their authorised dealers and test cerificate to be produced. 3) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. 4) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates. 5) Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted. 6) Rate inclusive of all consumables like gas, welding electrodes and tools and tackles etc. 7) The Liquid Penetrant Inspection shall be carried out in 1% of the total joints and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost.
Providing Structural steel work using angles, channels, joists and other sections, welded and / or bolted including in built up sections for columns, beams, trusses, structural steel floors, frame works, monorails and other structures including supplying, cutting, drilling, welding, fabricating, hoisting, fixing in position, applying a priming coat of zinc chromate steel primer. complete all as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Up to and including 300 mm Joists, 350 mm channels, and below sections. All test reports to be provided along with the supply of the materials.
Providing Structural steel work in M.S Plain Plates and chequrred Plates in Embedded Parts, Trench Covers, Connection plates etc.including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved zinc chromate steel primer etc.including cost of structural steel Plates, welding all labour charges etc. complete as per drawings and specifications. All test reports to be provided along with the supply of the materials
Providing, supplying, cutting, welding, fabricating, hoisting and fixing in position structural steel members for gates, hand rails etc. using MS hollow circular / square / rectangular sections along with the associated connections including applying a coat of primer using redoxide before and after erection and two coats of first quality anticorrosive polyurethene paint all as per Technical specifications, drawings, complete all as per drawings and specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Anchor bolts with minimum yield strength of grade 4.6 and required length as per approved drawings and the same shall be embedded in to existing columns including cost of non shrink GP2 grouting along with nuts, washer etc. as per drawing and all consumable.
Providing and fixing precoated Galvalume Roofing profile sheets of approved size, shape and pitch up to and including single length of 12.00 meters of 0.5mm thickness of single sheet. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling / self tapping screws of size (5.5 X 55 mm) with EPDM seal or with polymer coated J or L hooks, bolts and nuts 8 mm diameter with bitumen and G.I. limpet washers filled with white lead complete upto any pitch in horizontal / vertical or curved surfaces excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including ridges,cutting to size and shape wherever required as directed by the Engineer-incharge
Note for flyash bricks: In the fly ash bricks the mix confirming to the strength mentioned in the respective items shall be got approved by the department. The mix shall consist of ordinary portland cement content of not less than 20%(preferably) of the mixture consisting of Fly ash, OPC and Gypsum or any variation in proportion of design mix shall be submitted to BARC for approval. The Anhydraous Gypsum, Fly Ash, Cement, Crusher dust and other materials shall confirm to the relevant IS codes. The Anhydrous Gypsum shall be procured from a reputed source approved by the department. Roller mixer shall be used for good homogeneous mixing. a) Reinforcement will be measured & paid for separately under relevant item. b) RCC band and formwork shall not be measured seperatly, however no deductions will be made in brickwork for the same. c) No holes in brickwall will be allowed for scaffolding. Only double tubular steel scaffolding be allowed.
Providing and constructing 100/150/200/230mm (or as directed) thick masonry at all elevations with approved quality Fly ash/ FAL-G bricks (confirming to IS 12894) having minimum crushing strength 60 Kgs/Sq.cm and water absorption of maximum 20%, in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 river sand/ crushed stone sand) uniformly mixed in machine with approved 'non-shrinking compound' as per manufacturer’s instruction in specified courses of approved bond also providing horizonatal RCC band of 100/150/200mm x 100 mm (or as directed) at about 1.00 m c/c with 2 nos. 8 mm dia Tor bars and 6 mm dia links at 300 mm c/c in cement concrete (1:2:4), required formwork, complete including pointing, raking out joints, curing, cleaning, including independent double legged scaffolding, at all heights, depths and leads, dewatering area where required etc., all as per typical drawings, Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing 15 mm thick Plain Internal Plastering in cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished smooth, including sieving of sand to required fineness, preparation of the surface, double steel tubular scaffolding, curing all as per specifications, drawings and as directed at site etc. complete all as per Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing 20 mm thick External plastering in two coats under layer 12 mm thick with cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished with a top layer 8 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 (using river sand) admixtured with Water proofing admixture @ 2% by weight of cement used (in both layers) and as per manufacturer's specifications, sieving of sand to required fineness, double tubular steel scaffolding, finishing, curing etc. complete all as per Technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing in position 22 gauge G. I. Chicken wire mesh with 20 mm opening, around door & window frames, junctions of walls with concrete etc. wherever required, before plastering including cutting, nailing with 'U' nails, screwing, minimum overlapping of 150 mm, etc. all complete all as per drawings and specifications and as directed by Enginner-in-charge. (Overlaps will not be measured for payment) Width of chicken wire mesh to be fixed shall be min. 150 mm. This item will not be operated for conduit chasing areas.
FLOORING WORKS Notes: The contractor shall submit all samples to the department for approval and no work shall commence before such samples are duly approved.
Providing and fixing Double charged VITRIFIED tiles in flooring and skirting of size of 600mmx600mmx8mm, water absorption less that 0.08% and confirming to IS 15622 in all colours and shades in Glossy or Matt or satin finish laid over a bed of cement mortar and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg / sq.m including grouting with the joints with white cement based Tile Grout of matching shade complete as per patterns, drawings and specifications complete.
Providing and laying machine cut three level polishing including mirror polishing of kota stone flooring with Tandoor stone of minimum thickness of 25 mm and of approved size, uniform shade and pattern as shown in drawing or approved by Engineer-in-charge, bedding in cement mortar (1:4) of thickness to make a total thickness of 50 mm icluding the thickness of Tandoor stone, including hacking, cleaning and preparing the surface for bedding, spreading neat cement slurry by using minimum cement about 1 Kg/sqm prior to bedding and using minimum cement paste about 3.3 Kgs/sqm for fixing to required line, level, joints to be cleaned and grouted with matching colour of approved quality readymade grout, curing, cleaning etc., complete at all heights and leads all complete as per technical specifications or as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing 1st quality Ceremic antiskid floor/mat finished tiles of minimum 300 X 300 mm / 300 x 320/400x400 mm sizes of 1st quality confirming to IS 15622 in all colours and shades approved by Engineer-in-charge over a bed 20 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (using coarse river sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg / sq.m including pointing with white cement based tile grout of matching shade complete as per patterns, drawings and specifications all as per technical specifications complete as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing 1st quality Ceremic wall tiles confirming to IS 15622 in approved shade and colour of sizes (320x 480mm / 300x450mm/300mmx400mm) as approved by Engineer-in-charge in skirting, risers of steps and dados over 12 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:3 (using coarse sand), setting the tiles in cement slurry and pointing the joints with matching colour tile grout compound of matching shade including using PVC Tile Trim in the exposed corners, complete as per drawings, patterns all as per technical specifications complete as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: Only of 1st quality materials will be permitted for use in the work.
Providing and fixing 17mm thick machine cut, mirror polished approved Granite stone/equivalent approved range and shade granite stone of approved colour and pattern for Risers and trades /Frames/Architraves/soffits/Jambs/Sills/Urinal partitions etc. of required sizes as shown in drawing or directed by the Engineer-in-charge, fixed with cement paste about 4.0 Kgs/sqm, fully buttering cement slurry on back, fixed to correct line, level and plumb over the plastered surfaces. Joints shall be well cleaned and grouted with matching colour of approved readymade grout, all leads and lifts, polished to all exposed faces, corners and edges, semi rounded, providing required SS screws, SS pins, studs, cleaning, curing, drilling, grinding edges etc. complete at all heights and leads all as per technical specifications complete as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing fully flush type Hollow metal Steel door including frame and shutter at all levels. 46 mm thick Pressed Galvanized steel conforming to IS 277, Single / Double / Triple leaved SHAKTI MET-DOR which consists of frame, shutter, infill and finish as detailed below : Door frame shall be single rebate profile of size 100 x 57 mm with bending radius of 1.2 mm having 1.20 mm thick galvanized steel sheet (18 gauge). Steel door shutter of 46 mm thick, fully flush, double skin door shall be manufactured from 0.80 mm thick galvanized steel sheet. The stile edges to be lock seamed with no weld marks. The infill material shall be resin bonded honey comb Kraft paper with thermal insulation. Note: All external/internal painting works will have to be done with erecting double tubular steel scaffolding only. No jhoola/Bhada shall be permitted. All rates quoted in the above painting items shall include erection of double tubular scafolding and provision of safety measures like safety belts, eye protection gears, etc.
Providing and laying integral cement based water proofing treatment including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc. consisting of following operations: (i) Applying and grouting a slurry coat of neat cement by pump using 2.75 Kgs / sq.m of cement admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 over RCC slab including adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. (ii) Providing and laying 20 mm thick plastering using cement mortar 1:5 (with coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding (Vatta) of junctions of walls and slabs. The entire surface shall be ponded with water for a period of 3 days and observe for leakage if any. In case of any leakage observed, the effected area shall be sealed by grouting with cement and further leakage to be checked for again. (iii) Laying brick bats set in cement mortar 1:5 using broken brick bats 25 mm to 115 mm size with cement mortar 1:5 (using coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding (Vatta) of junctions of walls and slabs. The entire surface shall be ponded with water for a period of 10 days and observe for leakage if any. In case of any leakage observed, the effected area shall be sealed by grouting with cement and further leakage to be checked for again.
(iv) After 10 days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-Charge. (v) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (using coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge including mixing ''polyster fibre' at the rate of 125 grams per 50 Kgs of Cement in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300 X 300 mm square, 3 mm deep. (vi) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of 2 weeks for curing and for final test. All above operations to be done in order, complete all as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Contractor shall provide 10 year guarantee for waterproofing on approved proforma.
