Energy Audit of the Hospital Premises, i) SVIIMS premises, Tirupati Instruments Note: 1. 3 Φ Power Analyzer. 2 . Ultrasonic Water Flow Meter 3 Thermal Imager (Thermography) 4. Digital Manometer with pitot tube 5. Thermo Anemometer / Hygrometer Resources Required : 1. Accredited Energy Auditor from BEE- 1 No 2. Certified Energy Auditor from BEE – 2 Nos 3. Certified Energy Manager from BEE- 1 No Scope of the study: Energy Consumption & Electricity Billing : Summary for the Past two year’s monthly electricity consumption. Calculation of specific energy consumption, KWH/Sft etc. Checking and Calibration of Energy Meters to identify the metering errors and recommend suitable measures to eliminate the same. Calculation of Load factor . Electrical distribution system Review of the Existing Transformer substations. Assessment of transformer loading and losses and efficiency etc and suggestions for betterment. Electrical measurements of all major electrical parameters viz., Voltage, Current, Power factor, KW, Frequency etc., of important equipment (PCC, MCC, Sub Distribution boards) with significant energy consumption. Exploring Energy Conservation Options (ECOs) in Electrical Distribution systems. Checking Energy Efficiency of Diesel Generating Sets by conducting trial run with load and Specific Energy Generation Ratio(SEGR). HVA Chillers and Air Handling units which includes: •Evaluation of operating Coefficients of performances of Chillers (COP). Evaluation of specific energy consumption of chiller (kW/ton etc.) • Chilled Water Pumps – Primary and Secondary Water Pumps measurement of Water Flow, Head asses the performance of Pumps . optimize pumping power AHUs - Measurement of Water Flow, head, Air Flow – suction & Discharge asses the performance of Cooling coil , Blower Efficiency . Identify the gaps and methods to improve the same. •Estimation of actual Tonnage and measurement of operating area temperature. •Examination of Air-handling units for air delivery capacity,
capacity utilization, temperature pattern, pressure drop and operational pattern with respect to time to identify potential energy saving measures. Pumps & Pumping System: Evaluate the efficiency of the various Pumps supplying water to the building and identify the losses and recommend suitable measures to improve the same Preparation of report based on the analysis of above data : The report shall provide existing energy profile of the unit with percentage share of major equipment / processes, Utility etc, so that it becomes a basic document for future monitoring. Details of measures to be taken to improve Energy Efficiency and reduce losses for all the above areas. Estimation of energy and monitoring savings , Investment requirement and simple payback and retrofits ( negligible & moderate investments ) . Attempts shall be also be made to carry out the measurements of various parameters to the extent possible. In the event of inability of measurement due to some constraints, reasonable estimation can be made supported by justification Recommendations & Executive summary: After Collecting the Data and report was prepared at our Office. The report with identified causes of wastage of energy and saving methodology and tips to save energy as approved by BEE will be made available. The savings without /with investments are also indicated with simple payback calculation

Digital Earth Resistance tester /Clamp on type Earth resistance meter 3 Thermal Imager (Thermography) 4. Digital Insulation tester 5. Earth Loop Impedance Tester 6. Leakage current Tester 7. EMF Meter (Electro Magnetic Radiation Meter) 8. Static Discharge Meter 9. RCB Tester 10. Vibration Meter 11. Report soft /Hard copy will be submitted to you.
Electrical Safety Audit scope of work : 1) Physical inspection of the Facility with reference to applicable Indian standards, National Electric Code 2023 and other relevant NABH codes of Practice & identifying electrical hazards (shocks, fires, etc.). 2. Review of protection devices / system of the electrical installation. 3. Review of adequacy of Feeders, cables, motors, etc. based on actual load current / Temperature measurements of feeders and cable current carrying capacities. To carry out the thermograph of the equipment. 4. Review of the Electrical Power distribution in the facility both on EB and DG , Checking the load balancing . Suggest corrective actions. 5. Review of electrical faults to identify probable root cause of the faults. 6. Review the EPM (Electrical Preventive Maintenance) programme in the Facility and to examine the documentation, checklists, work permit, test records, etc. and to suggest recommendations as per applicable standards. 7. To evaluate the Earthing system (installation and maintenance) in the Facility based on IS 3043 and to suggest recommendations. Measurement of Earth Loop Impedance to identify the prospective fault current. 8. To Check Electro magnetic Radiation emissions in the facility with regard to MRI /CT scans and recommend suitable measures to reduce the same. 9. Reviewing the role of electrical safety in the total electrical system 10. Evaluation of vibrations in rotating machines like motors ,Pumps as per ISO 10816 stanadard. 11. Review of the following test records, evaluating the test results and to suggest recommendations as per applicable standards. • Transformer oil test. • Insulation Resistance Tests. • Earth Resistance tests. (The checking of test procedures and checking of test result interpretations are also part of this exercise
