| 1Water Audit ,Survey And Hydraulic Modelling Of 24x7 Water Supply System | |||||
| 1.001 | OD101050/2026-2027:Conducting Comprehensive Water Audit and Survey for Aranoor Corporation Ward under the proposed 24×7 Water Supply Project, including collection of field data, engineering investigations, analysis, hydraulic modelling, preparation of GIS-based MIS based on the hydraulic model, NRW assessment by using the GIS based MIS, water balance, energy audit, and submission of critical hydraulic model for of District Metered Areas (DMAs).
The item shall include all labour, technical personnel, survey equipment, software for GIS based modelling and related MIS based on the model, transport, data collection, monthly analysis , monthly report preparation, activities to reduce NRW based on monthly reports and evaluation of its effectiveness and submission of final deliverables, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Baseline Assessment
GIS based modelling of the existing water supply system from source to consumer.
Design and isolation of supply zones/District Metered Areas (DMAs) with critical number of connections.
Assessment of existing water demand and supply patterns.
Collection and review of available records including design drawings, O&M records, consumer database, billing records, asset information and previous studies for the preparation of the model.
Water Source Assessment and technical recommendation for relevant modifications
Assessment of quantity and quality of available water sources by taking the hourly level and quality sensors and integrating with the MIS
Technical Evaluation of reliability and sustainability of water sources using the GIS model.
Collection and transmitting of pressure, quantity and quality data using sensors at critical locations and suitable transmitting mechanism and analysis of source-wise using the model after calibration of the GIS based hydraulic model with field situation
Infrastructure Evaluation using the GIS based hydraulic model
Daily Physical inspection of transmission and distribution systems including pipelines, valves, bulk meters, service reservoirs, pumping stations and associated appurtenances for calibration of the hydraulic model.
Physical condition assessment of treatment plants, pumping stations and storage reservoirs and suggesting technical recommendation for any modification for NRW reduction or 24 x 7 supply.
Running the GIS-based hydraulic model at 3 hourly intervals and conducting predictive analysis for finding the water loss after observing pressure drop positions in the water distribution network and conducting pro-active leak detection and rectification wherever required as per the prediction analysis.
Identification of bottlenecks, pressure-deficient areas, critical assets, leakage-prone locations and operational deficiencies and suggesting recommendations and physical rectification.
Leak Detection and Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Assessment as per norms and reporting monthly to show improvement of NRW.
Leak detection using acoustic equipment, pressure monitoring, visual inspection and other suitable techniques wherever pressure drops are predicted by the model.
Measurement and assessment of minimum 24-hour continuous flow at designated inlet/outlet locations using calibrated ultrasonic water meters or equivalent approved instruments to assess the total quantity in the DMA.
NRW assessment by comparing System Input Volume with Authorized Billed Consumption and recommend technical as well as management related solutions with people participation to reduce NRW.
Component-wise analysis of NRW using the hydraulic model including the following and giving training to 4 KWA staff to assess the NRW using the model:
Real losses (physical leakage),
Apparent losses (meter inaccuracies, unauthorized consumption),
Unbilled authorized consumption.
Water Balance Preparation
Preparation of a comprehensive water balance in accordance with IWA Water Balance Methodology.
Quantification of water losses and unaccounted-for water.
Calculation of key performance indicators including NRW (%), Infrastructure Leakage Index (ILI), Water Loss per Connection, and other relevant performance indicators.
Energy Audit
Assessment of energy consumption at pumping stations and treatment facilities.
Evaluation of pump efficiency and operational performance.
Identification of opportunities for energy conservation and reduction of operating costs and submitting recommendations, timely implementation and submitting benefit analysis and report the savings.
Development and calibration of GIS based hydraulic model and building and MIS to work on the same using any internationally recognized GIS based hydraulic modelling and prediction software tools.
Simulation of existing and proposed network conditions and recommendations and Action Plan for gradually making changes in the field to come closer to the proposed condition with monthly reports showing monthly outcome.
Evaluation of quality, pressure, flow, velocity, storage requirements and operational scenarios for continuous 24×7 water supply recommend and implement corrective actions in the field inside the DMA and make necessary changes in the model and prove the same with model out puts as well as field outputs.
Validation of model and creating provisions to take the live data transmitted from the sensors at 1 hour intervals to the model and tallying it physically with actual physical field observations and flow measurements.
regular Recommendations and Action Plan and implementation to achieve NRW reduction and 24 x 7 norms and regular reporting.
Recommendations for improving DMA management supported by model out put and actually implementing the physical interventions with proof of results.
Pressure management strategy using the model and implementation and proving the outcome.
recommendations for Metering and billing improvement, physical implementation by related KWA intervention with regard to consumers in the DMA.
Rehabilitation, replacement and augmentation proposals for transmission and distribution systems.
Leakage reduction programme and NRW reduction strategy, its implementation and NRW reduction based on the calculations based on model and physical measurements, both tallying.
Phased implementation plan with priority works and cost implications.
Monthly Deliverables after the preliminary preparation of model and model calibration but within the period of completion
1. Submission of comprehensive Water Audit Report.
GIS based hydraulic model details, software specification, network maps giving training to 4 KWA staff on GIS based modelling and prediction software tool.
Hydraulic model files and sharing the user access to 4 KWA staff for getting trained, verification and confirmation of the model and predictions.
