CHILLER PLANT
Supply, Installation, testing and commissioning of water cooled DX/Flooded type Chiller scroll with Single/double circuit 3 x 30 TR ( 2 No working at a time and 1 No standby),(Next higher capacity will be taken in case this capacity is not standard OEM product) Each unit shall consist of scroll Chiller with hermetic / Semihermetic compressor (twin screw compressors) suitable for R407C Refrigerant, with Slider valve mechanism for stepless un loading, Shell and tube water cooled Condenser, Insulated Shell and tube Evaporator, Micro Processor Plant Manager all as supplied by OEM as part of Chiller Package. The Unit mounted starter panel with double door construction shall be single Power point type complete with IP 55 Degree protection, consisting of MCCBs, Star Delta starters for Motors complete with Under/Over voltage and phase reversal protection,Single Phase Preventers,communication card which can accept 4-20 mA or 2-10 V dc analog signal. ( 1 No each for each chiller) The unit shall be complete with Discharge Service valves to isolate refrigeration circuits, vibration Isolators to isolate chiller from building structure, pressure gauges on suction and discharge sides Electronic expansion valves, solenoid valves, anti-freeze thermostats, refrigerant piping with Insulation for suction line, accessories of Safety valve, angle valve, liquid line indicator, water flow switch, Relief valve, Isolating valves and including MS stand to install the chiller units fabricated out of suitable size of structural steel sections etc. all as per OEM. All accessories housed in a single chasis design. The noise level measured at a distance of 1 Mtr from the machine at anywhere in the plant room shall not exeed 85 dBA. The chilled water type AC plant will be suitable for operation on 3 phase AC 50Hz supply of capacity The Compressor shall have step less control from 100% to percentage that can be achieved by operation of number of compressors as per load requirement of rated capacity. The unit shall be factory tested as per AHRI standard 550/590 latest edition test bed, The contractor shall produce test certificate to this effect.
The conditions for Condensor and Chiller are as under:- Condenser: water in 85 Deg F water out 95 Deg F Fouling factor 0.001 FPS (hr-sq-ft-deg F)/Btu Flow-120 USGPM for each chiller Chiller: CHW in 54 Deg F CHW out 44 Deg F Fouling factor 0.0005 FPS (hr-sq-ft-deg F)/Btu Flow-75 USGPM The rate quoted for above package includes for (i) Microprocessor based control depicting all parameters of the chilling plant. (ii) Civil work of masonry foundations for chilling units. - 1 Lot. The rate quoted for above package deemed includes for :- (i) Provn of micro processor controlled capacitor bank to ensure PF of 0.95. (ii) Cabling shall be with XLPE insulated 1100 Volts fire retardant armoured type copper cable. (iii) Civil work of masonry for chilling unit. (iv) Cable tray on MS angle iron support of appropriate size. GENERAL NOTE: (i) The contractor is responsible to achieve the desired, temperature, humidity and air flow/ throw in the conditioned areas for efficient and smooth of the plant and machinery if any additional spares and specialized workmanship is required the same shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to the department. (ii) Cost for all the consumable lilke refrigerant, refrigerant oil, inert gas etc. is deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the contractor. (iii) In case of mentioned capacity of chiler is not available in standard capacity as specified in the respective items the next higher capacity with be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to department.

(i) Capacity - 70 TR (ii) Water Flow - 240 US GPM (iii) Water in - 95° F (iv) Water out - 85° F (v) Design wet bulb temp - 80° F (vi) Min approach for Cooling Tower - 5°F The highest WBT is for monsoon (82°F) and Condenser piping is designed for 4 US GPM. Supply, laying, fixing, testing and commissioning of chilled water piping class 'c' heavy duty mild steel inside trenches with all necessary fabricated fittings such as bends, tees, reducers etc, and supports such as clamps, anti vibration hangars/pads etc duly insulated with pipe sections of Fire retardent quality expanded polystyrene moulded pipe section of density 36 Kg per cum conforming to IS 12436 and thickness 50 mm upto 125 mm pipe and 75 mm thick for pipes 150 mm and above. The insulation applied after a thick coat of cold setting adhesive(CRPX compound) wrapping with 500 gm/sqm polythene faced hessian cloth sheet (vapour barrier seal) (Fire retardent grade) and secured with 0.5 mm x 20 mm GI wire mesh and 2 coats of cement plaster (1:4) 20 mm thick in 2 layers(each layer of 10 mm) and water proofed by applying hot bitumen and fixing tar felt over the plaster. It shall then be finally finished with a coat of hot bitumen. The work includes digging and refilling of trenches and providing 500 mm thick 1:2:4 cement mortar pads at 3 M interval.The pipes are required for installing outside the Building burried in ground. The size of pipes shall be 65mm Pipe as per ISI 1239 (50 mm thick insulation)

Note: The Pipe of size 150 mm & below shall be M.S heavy class as per IS-1239. The pipe shall be tested at 1.5 times nominal pressure prior to insulation at joints and other connections. The pressure shall be retained for 24 hours. Engineer in charge shall witness this test and produce a certificate to this effect.

Supply, fixing, testing and commissioning Automatic Balance Valve Wafer type to limit the flow through 3 way valve, GPM for the valve factory set to automatically limit the rate of flow with in +/- 5% of specified GPM over 95% of control range. Supply, install, testing and commissioning of PVC Expansion water tank for chilled water make up water 500 ltrs capacity. The Tank duly insulated with 50 mm thick fire retarding quality expanded polysterene of density 20 Kg/Cum and finished with sand cement plaster over chicken wire mesh and painted with 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved shade. This Expansion water tank shall be complete with float valve, overflow, drain and make up water connection. The tank shall be connected to suction side of pump with all fittings including necessary piping duly insulated but with out any valve. The tank will be connected with make up water tank piping . Pipe used shall be measured separately.
Design, supply, laying, fixing, testing and commissioning of condenser water piping with MS heavy class as per IS-1239, pipe complete with all accessories such as bends, elbows, flanges, nut-bolts, clamps, vibration isolators(but excluding valves, strainers and pressure gauges etc), The piping shall be laid overhead in plant and underground outside the plant room and out side fixed on walls etc as per site conditions (a) The pipes are to be laid out side the building, buried in ground.The pipes shall be given 2 coats of two coats of tarfelt each having thickness of 2 mm and stick with hot bitumen. Pipes shall rest on half round rigid block resting on GI structure including excavations and refilling the trenches and providing suitable thickness 1:2:4 cement concrete pads at 3Mtr. intervals complete of pipe size 125mm. Note: All pipes, pipe supports,structures shall be painted with 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer and lettering with white paint including marking direction of flow.

Supplying and fixing Accoustic insulation for a length of 5 mtr from plant room, Insulation shall be carried out with 25 mm thick, 32 kg/m3, rigid bonded fibreglass covered with RP tissue. Accoustic insulation shall be stuck to inside the ducting after applying 2 coats of cold setting adhesive (CPRX Compound). The insulation is held in position with rivets or galvanised steel bolt with counter sunk heads and 25 x 25 x 1.5 mm GI plate washers at the centre to centre distance of 600mm. The insulation shall be covered with reinforced plastic tissue paper and 0.5 mm thick perforated aluminium sheet fixed to inside surface of the duct with cadmium plated nuts, bolts, stick pins complete as required and as per specifications

Supply, install, test and commission Factory made Double skin Air Handling unit (AHU) as under:-. The casing panels shall be made of sandwich construction of at least 25 mm thick injected with CFC free R141b blended Poly Urethene foam insulation having density of 38-40 Kg/Cu.m and thermal conductivity of 0.02 W/m-deg K. The Casing panels(inside and outside) shall be constructed of 1.2 mm steel sheet coated with 120 gm/Sq.m galvanized Zinc(Zn) and 3% Chromate. The outer skin shall be 0.6 mm and inner skin 0.6 mm .The panels are removable type and are fixed to the frame with self tapping screws. Labyrinth type gasket sealing between panel and frame be provided to eliminate air leakages. The entire unit shall be supported on full perimeter base frame constructed from heavy duty galvanized steel sheet. Drain Pan shall be fabricated from 0.8 mm thick Stainless steel grade SS-304 insulated with 10 mm thick close cell cross linked irradiated FR grade Poly ethylene material. Intermediate tray is provided for stacked coils to collect the condensate from the top coil. Drain pan shall be of sufficient width and differential slope to ensure complete drainage of condensate. The AHU shall shall be complete with filter section, mixing bag, water coil of copper tube and aluminium fins. Chilled water shall be suitable for 10 deg temperature differencial, DIDW Forward Curved Centrifugal Fan, belt driven and vibration isolators, Energy efficien motor confirming to IS 12615 suitable for 415+/- 10% volts, 50 C/S, 3 Phase AC Supply The AHU shall be suitable for conventional floor mounting (with vibration pads) for cooling and de-humidifying the air with all accessories and controls for. The required AHUs shall be comprising of following bring down RH 55 ±5%. After mixing with balanced return air, total air shall be taken to main AHU of 8350CFM capacity at 75mm wg pressure to bring down the temperature to 55 deg F Each AHU shall comprise of : (i) Cooling Coil Rows with copper tubes (As per OEM Equipment design), 12-13 aluminium fins per inch, No of Rows in each AHU shall be 6. (ii) Heating coil 2 Rows with copper tubes (As per OEM Equipment design), 12-13 aluminium fins per inch, No of Rows in each AHU shall be 2 only (iii) Pre filter having dust Filtration capacity 90% efficiency down to 10 microns(synthetic non woven, fire retardent type suported with aluminium & HDPE mesh and generally conforming to EU-3 & EU-779 specifications) (iv) Micro Vee filter having dust Filtration capacity 95% efficiency down to 5 microns conforming to EU-7 specifications. Magne helic gauges be provided to read pressure drop across the Filter bank.

The cost of required stationary & equipments etc. is deemed to be included in quoted rate. (ii) The operation will be started from the next immediate day/date of completion of phase-I work. (iii) During contract liability period no extra cost will be paid against any spare required to be replaced and consumed used. (iv) Life insurance and ESI medical facilities of Govt. for all the personnel shall be done by the contractor and copy of the policy to be submitted to the deptt. (v) Minimum T&P required for the operator to be provided by contractor. (vi) All safety device required for the operator to be provided by contractor. (vii) Any damages to the machinery/operator occurred due to miss handling of equipment will be compensated by contractor. (viii) Minimum wages to be paid by contractor through nationalized bank ESC mode as per labour commission Act. (ix) Weekly off as per labour act to be given to the operator & reliever to be provided by the contractor at no extra cost. (x) PPF should be necessary for all candidate. (xi) Contractor has to provide 02 pair of protective clothing overall combination with leather shoes one pair (as approved by Department) to each operator.
(xii) In case of absenteeism of any Operator/helper in a shift/duty, double the amount of shifts will be recovered from the contractor. (xiii) After completion of work contractor shall return all the temp passed to AF authorities and certificate to be obtained & the same be enclosed with final bill. (xiv) Contractor shall obtain a affidavit from all deployed operators /tradesmen /helpers that they are deployed temporary by the contractor through outsourcing & They have no legal binding/with department regarding/employment/permanency of job. Any court cases due to accident /break of jobs/compensation occurring due to any labour conflict during the contract period is to be dealt by contractor only. (xv) The age of all deployed operators /tradesmen/helpers should be 18 to 60 years old. (xvi) Operator/helpers will use their own conveyance to reach duty place/ locations. (xvii) Running of plant will be made by the contractor covering three shifts of 08 hours failing which recovery of quoted rate per shift will be made. In addition, a penal recovery two times of quoted rate per shift will be made.
