Trimming and Cutting of tree branches near the OHE wire leaning on the track side for Eighteen months. This job includes cutting of tree branches in the power block period, removing of trimmed branches, transportation of machinery, tools and man power by their own vehicle at different location with all safety measures. The price shall cover for the following activities. 1.Trimming and Cutting of tree branches above / near the OHE wire leaning on the track side for Eighteen months. 2.Cutting of branches in the power block / non power block period, removing of trimmed branches, by using machine, tools and man power with all safety measures. 3.The contractor shall ensure minimum 4 Mtrs clearance during trimming of trees from OHE/live part. 4.Locations of trees to be trimmed/cut will be advised by the concerned SSE to the contractor. The contractor shall take up the work of trimming/cutting of trees as per the list submitted by SSE. 5.The number of branches to be cut in a particular tree will be as directed by Railway representative present on site. 6.Payment will be made to the contractor only as per the number of trees in the list submitted by SSE, irrespective of the size and branches of the trees. 7.All the tree branches 01 trimmed/cut shall be dump at Railway's nominated place as directed by Railway representative by the contractor. Note - For the safety of OHE railway staff shall be available to take care of OHE. Items to be followed by tenderer: 1)The transportation of man and material required for this work, will be responsibility of contractor. He shall also arrange required vehicle for movement of Railway Officers/Site Engineers for inspection. 2)All required tools and tackles, ladders, trolleys will have to be arranged by Contractor at his cost. 3)While carrying out the work, any tree parts,men & material should not be allowed to fall on other OHE fittings such as insulators, number plates and coasting boards, etc. and they will be particularly protected by the contractor from being damaged. 4)The required tools, tackles, ropes, insulated ladders required for work will have to be arranged by contractor and transported and shifted by him at his own cost. 5)Safety of the staff: Safety of the contractor's men engaged in the work will solemnly be the responsibility of the contractor and therefore careful supervision is required during the work to guard and warn his men against moving trains and live OHE lines. All the manpower involved in the trimming / cutting activity need to wear safety belt and helmet. 6)Submission of progress report: The contractor will have submit day to day progress to concerned depot in charge under whose section tree trimming work is under progress, of their respective jurisdiction on the prescribed progress formats given by Engineer's Representative.
