LOCATION: 17FBSU TRIVANDRUM

Carrying out soil investigation including mobilisation/ transportation of machinery tools, tackels, personals and shifting of entire arrangement from one bore to another bore hole location etc and drilling 11 Nos of bore holes, each of 150mm dia in all strata upto 25.00 mtr at different location including collection of samples at 1.5 m intervals or at any change of strata in disturbed/undisturbed strata,bore log details as per Appx 'D' of IS : 1892, bore log details and bore hole positions duly marked on plan and their distance from adjacent prominent reference point duly signed by soil consultant. as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge (a) Testing charges of chemical analysis of soil & water alongwith details of Chloride & sulphate content in water & soil- 01 Job. (b) Conducting necessary tests as per relevant IS codes / NBC 2005/SP36 on all collected samples which include the determination of:- (i) Atterberg limits -01 Job. (ii) Natural moisture content -01 Job. (iii) Wet density, dry density & bulk density and degree of saturation of soil -01 Job. (iv) Soil particle size distribution using sieve/hydrometer analysis -01 Job. (v) Tri-axial shear test and C-Phi determination -01 Job. (vi) Shrinkage limit -01 Job. (vii) Consolidation test -01 Job. (viii) Specific gravity test for sand / rock - 01 Job. (ix) Crushing strength of rock samples - 01 Job. (x) Permeability test -01 Job

(xi) Free soil index. -01 Job. (xii) Grain size analysis, identification and classification of soil type / soft rock and hard rock -01 Job. (xiii) Unit weight (bulk density), natural moisture content, liquid limit, plastic limit, shrinkage limit, plsticity index, specific gravity -01 Job (xiv) Free swelling index & swelling pressure if expansive soil is encountered -01 Job. (xv) Depth of water table below ground level -01 Job. (xvi) Presence of loose soil, if any and its depth -01 Job. (xvii) SPT and N value at 1.5m interval. Carrying out Standard Penetration Test (SPT) including collection of disturbed soil samples in bore holes at every 1.5 m depth interval or any change of strata and submit the report with all requisite - 01 Job. (xviii) RQD value and degree of weathering of rock - 01 Job. (xix) One test of K value -01 Job. (xxi) If weak soil with lesser N value as specified in table -1 of IS 1893 (part I) 2016 is encountered then evaluation of liquefaction potential shall be assessed and remedial actions to be adopted shall be specified -01 Job. (xxii) Recommendations regarding type of foundation to be adopted and net SBC / pile capacities to be adopted. Also recommendations shall be given regarding stability of soil and soil stabilization required, if any -01 Job.

(xxiii) For open foundations, calculation of Net SBC at 1.5m,2.0m,2.5m,3.0m from shear as well as settlement criteria. SBC value shall be calculated based on C-Phi analysis as well as SPT value. For calculation formulae given in IS:6403 shall be used -01 Job. (xxiv) If pile foundations are required then depth and type of piles shall be mentined and pile capacity in compression, uplift and lateral loads shall be given for 300, 400, 450, 500 dia for under reamed piles and 450, 500, 550 and 600mm dia for long piles -01 Job. (xxv) Recommendation regarding type of cement and reinforcement to be used in ibid work -01 Job. (xxvi) Bore hole position duly marked on plan and their distance from adjacent prominent reference points. Plan size of the bldgs shall also be marked in the plan. This plan shall be singed by Soil consultant -01 Job. (xxvii) Classification of soil as per IS Code -01 Job. (xxviii) Final report for above tests & test result will be submitted in four sets -01 Job
