Overhauling and maintenance of Transformers in Phase 2 area at FACT-CD, Ambalamedu.

Overhauling of 2000KVA,11KV/440V Transformer .The work includes the following: Lifting and loading from potash godown on to the vehicle,transporting to contractors workshop and unloading there.Crane will be given by FACT free of charges(for loading to vehicle inside FACT) as per availability.Vehicle for transportation ,steel wire slings and any other tackles required for the job shall be brought by the contractor.The contractor shall take all necessary precautions to ensure that no damage occur to the transformer during handling or transportation. Overhauling the transformer at contractors works by draining out the existing oil,dismantling the accessories ,opening the top cover ,taking out the core coil assembly ,testing for any defects ,cleaning the assembly ,checking the tap switches,brazing joints,connections etc,replacing insulation materials where ever necessary ,cleaning the tank and radiators by using the existing oil ,painting inside of the tank ,replacing all the gaskets,seals with new ones ,varnishing and baking the core coil assembly,fitting the core coil assembly after attaining the required IR value,filling the tank with the new transformer oil and filtering ,fitting back all the accessories,topping up oil up to the consevator level,painting the transformer and accessories after necessary surface preparation,with two coats of epoxy paint of identical colour over a coat of suitable primer, testing the transformer as per IS for all the routine tests.Required quantity of transformer oil will be provided by FACT free of cost . All other materials required for the work shall be in contractors scope. Loading the transformer back to contractors vehicle,transporting to potash godown and unloading there. Crane will be given by FACT free of charges(for loading to vehicle inside FACT) as per availability.

Oil leak arresting of 7MVA transformer HT side in Phase-2 CSS. Scope of work includes Primary inspection of transformer after isolation, disconnection of HT cable of transformer if necessary; draining of oil to suitable oil levels and keeping in a clean container , opening inspection covers replacement of HT chamber ,terminal box and bushings gasket with new ones , checking the tightness of all connections; refixing the dismantled parts; refilling of oil via circulation after vacuum filtration to improve BDV as required, Inspection to check for any oil leak & arresting if necessary and charging of the transformer. Transformer oil required for topping up the oil level shall be supplied by FACT free of cost. Gaskets of suitable thickness and size required for executing the work shall be supplied by the contractor. All necessary tools and equipment's like oil filter, vacuum pump etc. required for the work shall be brought by contractor.

Scope of work includes Primary inspection of transformer after isolation, disconnection of HT and LT cable of transformer if necessary; draining of oil to suitable oil levels and kept in a clean container , opening inspection covers if necessary, replacement of gaskets below the leaky radiators, drain plugs , valves, buchholz relay, inspection covers, terminal box covers, flanges etc. with new ones; checking the tightness of all connections; refixing the dismantled parts; refilling of oil via circulation after vacuum filtration to improve BDV as required, Inspection to check for any oil leak & arresting if necessary and charging of the transformer. Transformer oil required for topping up the oil level shall be supplied by FACT free of cost. Gaskets of suitable thickness and size required for executing the work shall be supplied by the contractor. All necessary tools and equipment's like oil filter, vacuum pump etc. required for the work shall be brought by contractor.
