"Excavation of trenches of following depth and width 0.3 Meter detailed below including clearing of roots and trees etc. for all types of soil. This work also includes covering of cables laid in trench and backfilling, ramming, consolidation of soil as well as disposal of extra soil 1 after cable is laid as specified in Guidelines on Signalling Cable laying given by RDSO and any latest circular issued by CSTE/ECoR/BBS. Note: Before refilling of the trenches, the cable laid are to be tested and recorded for its insulation value and after satisfaction of site Engineer the refilling process should start and after monsoon the route is to be attended for backfilling the rain cuts, wash out of soils where ever found. DEPTH: [i] 1.2 Meter "
Laying of Signalling/4 Quad/ 6 Quad/ Power Cable/Telecom cables/ Jelly filled cables of all sizes in excavated trench, through GI/RCC/DWC pipes etc. wherever required. This includes transportation of cables from the stores to work site and transportation of empty cable drums with left over cables from site to the stores at . The length of cable laid includes the length of cable coil for termination purpose. NOTE: The cables are to be carefully handled during loading, un-loading and transportation to work site. Any damage found in the cable after final testing, in view of mishandling of cables, shall be made good by the Tenderer. Cable should be maggered before and after laying and recorded in a register and submitted to the site Engineer.
Excavation of trenches including clearing of roots of trees etc., in rocky area up to a depth to be indicated by Railway Engineer at site as per the site condition [Minimum 0.6 meter] and 3 width 0.3 Mts. at the bottom. This includes concreting & plastering as per the instructions of site Engineer and complete back filling by digging earth from a lead of 30 Mtr. In case 0.8 meter depth or higher is achieved no concreting is required, otherwise concreting up to 100 mm thickness should be done. All materials required for the above works shall be supplied by the Contractor.
Excavation of trenches including clearing of roots of trees etc. in rocky areas with 4 chisel cutting up to a depth of 0.6 M and width of 0.3 M at the bottom. This includes concreting (1 : 1.5 : 3) at a height of 100 mm after laying of cables as per instruction of site Engineer and back filling of trench by digging. All materials including cement and chips of size 20 mm. etc. to be supplied by the contractor.
Excavation of trenches in all kinds of soils including soft rocky area and clearing of track etc. to a depth of 1.0 M and width of 0.3 M for track crossing /pucca road/level crossing gate/platform/station circulating area or any other place as advised by site Engineer including 5 transportation and laying of DWC/RCC/Split RCC/G.I. pipes with or without coupler. This includes repairing of track/pucca road/level crossing gate/ platform/station circulating area surface to original position by ramming and concreting wherever required soon after the work is over. DWC/RCC/GI pipes shall be supplied by the Railway. DWC pipes wherever required shall be supplied in 6 Mtr. length and shall be cut to size as per requirement. All other materials including cement are to be supplied by the contractor.
Cutting of masonary floor/walls at station building/ signal goomty/ Gate lodge at a depth of 0.5 mtr. to 1.0 mtr at places to be indicated by site Engineer for entering of cables inside 6 the building. Only G.I pipes supplied by Railway and all materials as clamps, bolts & nuts as instructed by site Engineer supplied by tenderer. This includes repairing of masonary floors/walls after the cables are taken inside. Cement, Sand required for the work shall be supplied by the tenderer and also transportation of G.I Pipe from Store by the tenderer.
Transportation, excavation of pit, casting of foundation, plastering and erection of Steel Apparatus case (full size) with fixing of E-Type lock, wiring, cable entry, termination clamping, filling cable pit with sand, painting and lettering etc., as per Drg.No. S&T/CON/SK/16. This includes 7 earth work and/or masonry work required for securing the apparatus case as per site condition. Railway will supply apparatus case with 'E' type lock only from Railway stores at. Tenderer will supply all wiring materials, PBT Terminals, fuses, fuse blocks, bus bars, hylum sheet ISI mark [6mm thickness], wood plank board of good quality [minimum 3/4" thick, Cement and transport all the materials to site of work at his own cost. The wiring materials such as wire coils, PBT terminals, fuses, fuse block, etc. should be used from RDSO approved sources.

"Trenching and fixing of G.I. pipes of different sizes/DWC pipes in hard rocky area up to a depth of 0.3 M to 0.6 M or at places as per instruction of site Engineer and concreting [1 : 3 : 6] up to height of 100 mm above the pipes. G.I. pipes with the socket/ DWC pipes shall be supplied by the Railway. All other materials required for the works shall be supplied by the contractor. Note: [1] In case of girder bridges, G.I. pipes shall be suitably clamped by the contractor as advised by the site Engineer. Clamps shall be supplied by the contractor. [2] The work including excavation of trenches in hard rock area up to a depth of 0.3 M to 0.6 M and back filling, ramming after completion of work where ever required. [3] In case of concrete bridges clearing of ballast for laying of pipes and re arranging the Railway ballast after completion of work shall be done by the contractor. "
Concreting (1:1.5:3) at a height of 150 mm & width of 0.3 m after laying of cables 10 where it is not possible to dig up to full depth of 1.2m/1.0m/0.8m in normal soil due to existing cables are in the trench, culverts, bridges. All materials including cement and chips of size 20mm. etc. to be supplied by the contractor. Fixing of cable route marker as per drawing in" section-H" at a distance of 100 mtrs. Along the trench and at places where the cable route has taken diversion as per instruction of site 12 Engineer, this includes casting of foundation at site and fixing of the marker in the foundation made earlier at site as per railway directives and specifications, this includes proper curing of the structure, All materials required for this like cement, sand 15 mm chips and steel rod of ISI marks should be supplied by the tenderer.
Alteration of wiring in existing apparatus cases full/half. This includes supply of all 13 materials in connection with alteration in wiring. All the materials shall be supplied by the contractor at his own cost. This includes entry of cables, sand filling and masonry work involved. Lettering and painting to be done by the contractor at his own cost. Railway shall supply only relays and relay bases.
Alteration of wiring in existing Relay rack/ CT rack/composite relay rack. This includes 14 supply of all types of wires, eyelets, nuts & bolts, bunching material, ferrules, ARA terminals, fuses & fuse blockes by the contractor at his own cost. Lettering & painting to be done by the contractor at his own cost. Wire (RDSO Approved Sources) to be inspected by the representative of Railway before use.
Fixing of relay bases and wiring, bunching, fixing of relays, wiring in Old relay racks/location box and also carrying out any alteration in existing relay rack duly wiring and 15 connecting New to old and Old to old relays by standard wires (RDSO Approved Sources) as per Circuit diagram. Fuses of bases, condensers, ND fuses, LED indicator & its wiring for relay rack. All materials required for this work will be supplied by the contractor from RDSO Approved Sources. Relays with accessories will be supplied by the Railway.
Wiring and testing of electric point machine as per the wiring diagram supplied by the Railway. This also includes the connection of complete ground connections of electric point machine and fixing of insulation materials and providing one numbers of seven lever [7 levers] Godrej locks with three keys each, per machine for outside cover, fixing arrangement of crank handle interlocking in point machine, and fixing of 'E' type lock [if required]. Railway will supply 16 electric point machine, ground connections with insulations and junction boxes. Tenderer shall transport the materials issued by Railways to the site of work at his own cost and shall also supply materials such as PVC wire for wiring, one numbers of Godrej (7 Levers) locks with three keys each per lock, per point machine, and any other materials that are required for installation, wiring, testing and commissioning of the said work at his own cost. Also Preparation of point parameter history records and maintenance register duly recording the measurements in prescribed format jointly with Railway representative and handover all records to the Railway.
Installation of lightening arrestor Class A device on the top of the building. the devices shall be installed at the height of about 3 mts from the roof of building using a G.I. pipe. The 17 device shall be connected to the earth pit using the copper tape 25mmx1.5mm or better the copper tape shall be run firmly along the side of the mast with the help of the spacers. It shall also be ensured that this down conductor shall not touch the building through out. The down conductor should be connected to the separate earth electrode as per Railway Board guidelines using exothermic welding. A counter shall be installed at an appropriate place to count the no of occurrences. All the accessories like spacers, welding material etc required for the installation shall be arranged by the contractor only. The installation of Lightning Arrestor should done by authorised representative of OEM.
Transportation of HDPE pipe from the store to work site, laying of the same (With 4 18 mm nylon rope, pre inserted inside the HDPE pipe) in excavated trench/ already laid GI/ RCC pipe / tubes, jointing, leveling and end sealing the pipes, HDPE pipe, couplers and end caps shall be supplied by Railway, Nylon rope shall be supplied by the contractor
Transportation of OFC from the store of to work site with care, and pushing/ pulling OFC through the HDPE pipes sealing of the duct by simple plugs. The cable is to be laid by 19 mechanised means. At inaccessible places where mechanised laying is not possible, the cable is to be laid manually by pulling through pre inserted rope. Empty cable drums with or without leftover cable should be returned to the store. This also includes testing of cable drums by OTDR in the store premises before transportation and submission of results thereof.
Drawing of switch board cable of sizes, power cable, UTP and STP cable etc through PVC pipes/ PVC channel etc up to the DP/Rosset to DP/Rosset.

"Excavation of pit, execution of jointing of Telecom cable by using Thermo shrink 1 cable jointing kits for straight through derivation joints and covering of cable jointing kits with excavated soils and ramming. Jointing kit shall be supplied by the Railway. All other materials required for execution of work shall be supplied by the contractor. "
Digging a trench to a minimum depth of 0.5 meterand laying 50x6 mm bare Galvanized steel tape(Interconnecting tape) connecting all the earth pits. Routing and laying 50x6 mm Galvanized steel tape connecting all the earth pits. Carrying out exothermic weld connections 2 on all the earth electrodes to Galvanized steel tape of size 50x6mm for interconnecting the earth pits. It shall be ensured that the distance between any two earth electrodes shall be minimum 3 meter (length ofthe earth electrode) and max up to 6 meter (twicethe length of the earth electrode) to avoid mutual resistance effects. This interconnecting tape shall also be covered with approximately 30 Kg of earth enhancing compound for each 3 meters length.Earth enhancement compound 10Kg along each meter also to be spreaded along the Galvanized steel tape.
Routing and termination of 25x2 mm Copper tape/8 mm solid copper round 3 conductor which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with 60mm, 6 KVA insulation studs including supply of insulation studs. The separation of the two successive insulation stud should be 600mm apart.
Routing and connecting all the equipment in the equipment/relay room to SEEB with 10 sq. mm copper cable using copper lugs with stainless steelnut and bolts and fixtures. The work includeslaying and routing the copper cable in PVC /conduits and fixing them on wall.
Routing and connecting of all the SPDs in the equipment room/SEEB to MEEB with 16 sq. mm copper cable using copper lugs with stainless steel nut and bolts.
Digging a trench to a depth of at least 0.5 meter and run the two 35 sq. mm earth conductor (procured against supply item) from Earth pit to MEEB. Routing and exothermic termination of two 35 sq. mm earth conductors in trench from earthpit to 300 x 25 x 6mm MEEB, which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with two 60 mm insulation studs.
Installation of Single Maintenance Free Earth pit as per RDSO Drawing No. SDO/RDSO/ E&B/001 which includes the following:-a) Digging/Auguring/Boring of single earth pit of 100mm to 125mm dia. to the depth of approx. 3 meter. b) Insertion of 3.0 meter electrode and penetrating it minimum 150 mm by pushing gently with sledge hammer where the natural soil is assumed. (c) Filling of earth pit with Earth Enhancement Compound (EEC) in slurry form and backfilling. (d) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on single earth electrode to a copper tape 7 of 200 x 25 x 6 mm. (e) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on the copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm on Earth Electrode for connecting two 35 Sq. mm cables for redundancy. (f) The exothermic welding material for bonding the earth system shall be procured from RDSO approved firms, which includes graphite modules, clamps, weld metal powders. (g) The dimension of the chamber will be of 300 x 300 x 300 mm (inside dimension) of RCC with 50mm thick and fine finish, Inspection chamber should be as per IEC 62561-5 or latest. The top RCC cover size shall be 400mmX400mmX50mm. The date of testing and earth resistance value shall be written on the co ver with black base with yellow paint.
Provision of Cement concrete enclosure for Earth electrode as per approved drawing RDSO Drawing No. SDO/RDSO/E&B/001. All the sundry materials to be supplied by the contractor.
Splicing/Dropping/Termination of each fiber/pigtail in the LIU/IO Box/Terminal Joints 9 through fusion splicing oftermination of OFC cables.The fibers terminated shall be tested and the test report (Hard copy and soft copy) shall be submitted to the site Engineer for records. "Supply of 12 port loaded LIU rack mountable, LIU should be provided for terminating the optical fibre cables. It shall provide minimum bending radius and splice trays shall function as a 6 splice cover to pigtail splicing. Cable glands shall be provided for secure anchoring of incoming cables. Supply, transportation, fixing, wiring, termination of cable, erection of rail post of size minimum 2.8 meter including foundation of post in cement concrete (1:2:4) as per the direction of the section engineer in charge, testing and commissioning of Emergency socket box of cast iron make as per Drawing No.SE/T/50/76 or latest (6 pin Emergency Plug and Socket as per TC-42/20 2 Version- 1.1 or latest and other accessories). Supply of materials required for masonry work, U-bolt for fixing emergency socket etc., cutting of Rails and welding or suitable clamp of GI pipe on the rail post will be done by the contractor.
