CIVIL WORKS AND MODIFICATION OF DOCKSIDE RIGGING ARRANGEMENT AT NAVAL DOCKYARD VISAKHAPATNAM UNDER GE (I) (DM) VISAKHAPATNAM

Removing worn out bollard foundation bolts and fixing of new HILTI bolts on the berth end by following activities all as specified and directed :- (a) Providing temporary arrangements using 12 mm thick MS plate and angle iron stiffeners of suitable size for holding down core drilling machine system in required position. (b) Drilling hole in RCC (by using core drilling machine with diamond core bit) of suitable dia to a depth up to existing bolts. (c) Removal of existing dia foundation bolt and cleaning the whole with Air Blower and Cleaning Brush. (d) Filling the whole with Fosroc GP-2. (d) Supply and fixing of HILTI 39mm dia 700mm length 8.8 Grade threaded rod with RE500V4 chemical to a depth of 510mm with necessary drillig hole including drilling hole by using core drilling machine with diamond core bit of suitable dia. Note :- Work is to be carried out by auth agency and necessary arrangement to execute the whole jog will be provided by the contractor.

Material and labour for cleaning and removing all scales and dire from and around the existing bollard bolt by wire brushes for cracking the nut of existing anchor bolt with pressure/ manual operated nut cracker without damaging the existing threads and cleaning the existing anchor bolt using the product of Henkel Adhesive Technologies Pvt. Ltd. – “ Loctite” – Solution with ODC free cleaner and degreaser Product code – 22355 with hot water and leave dry the anchor bolt and fixing new bollard nut of mild steel having inner dia 63 mm and outer dia not less than 72 mm and weight not less than 760 grams with 3 mm thick washers minimum 02 Nos. of outer dia 88 mm along with lock set chemical of “Loctite” solvent base medium strength thread locker Loctite243 in the gap between nut and anchor bolt complete Make of Anti rust cleaner & Thread locker :- LOCTITE

Material and labour for complete removal of existing finishes of the bollard base and head and applying two coat of coal tar epoxy paint over two coats of epilux zinc chromate yellow primer on coropex epoxy shop primer, brown in steel surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & Fix the Mooring rings of 200mm internal dia made out of 32 mm dia MS round bar and fixed to two Nos angle iron of size 150 x 150 x 12 mm , 150mm long placed back to back with a hole suitable for placing 32mm mooring ring. The two 150mm long angle iron pieces along with Mooring ring shall be fixed into the Jetty floor concrete with 04 Nos. full threaded nuts and bolts of 20 mm dia and 300 mm long inserted to a depth of 200mm, 25mm dia hole drilled into the RCC berth/beam and slabs. The hole shall be cleaned and filled with lock fix chemical and 20mm bolt shall be inserted in the hole and grouted with lock fix chemical. All the MS work shall be painted with two coats of coal tar epoxy paint over a coat of primer. The top surface of jetty after drilling the hole shall be cleaned and applied with a two coats of coal tar epoxy paint before fixing the mooring ring complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Stainless Steel, 316 grade , stair case safety railing Vertical posts of size 100mmx100mmx3.0mm thick, 1100mm height, top of the post shall be cut to receive the 50mm round railing pipe and the vertival post welded to a base plate of size 100mm X 100mm X 5mm thick ,made out of SS316 heavy duty, maintenance free, corrosion resistant, aesthetic looking stainless steel extruded sections. The post shall be fixed to the staircase treads/landing concrete surface of dry dock with four in nos M12X150mm anchor fastners. For fixing M12 bolts ,a hole of 16mm dia shall be first drilled into the concrete to depth of 100mm and shall be filled with epoxy grout of Lokfix E75 of M/s Fosroc or Hil ti Re 500 after thorugh cleaning of drilled hole. M12 bolts shall be incerted into the epoxy filled hole and SS vertical post shall be grooved in to the M12 bolts and fixed with nut and washers tightly to the post.The unit rate quoted shal includfe thwe cost of post, fixing of one vertical SS post in position inclusibve of drilling holes(4 nos) in the concrete, Epoxy, M12(4Nos) bolt with nut and washers complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of Horizontal railing with SS 316 garde heavy duty, maintenance free, corrosion resistant, aesthetic looking stainless steel extruded sections of 50mm x 50mm square pipe 2mm wall thickness, for safety railings and fixed on the top of 50mm suqare vertical post by welding in-situ , cleaning, buffing, ploshing to match the surafce smooth, shining and uniform complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for periodical maintenance of existing (old) stainless steel of post & railing of any size/any description of hand rails/ladders etc with emery paper, tack powder, soft clothsetc, for cleaning the stain marks/scaling on the exposed surfaces of SS pipes and buffing with hand machine etc, complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling wrought iron or mild steel work of any description not otherwise provided for complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour for providing and fixing stainless steel (Grade 304) railing made of hollow tubes, channels, plates etc., including welding, grinding, buffing, polishing and making curvature (where ever required) and fitting the same with necessary stainless steel nuts and bolts complete, including fixing the railing with necessary accessories & stainless steel dash fasteners, stainless steel bolts etc., of required size, on the top of floor or the side of waist slab with suitable arrangement complete all as specfied and directed

S & F for rolled mild steel plain or chequred plates confirming to Fe-290, Gde E-165 welded, riveted, bolted attachment to supporting structure of capstan, duct covers, valve pit access platform and working in a confined area including making good the disturbed portion of concrete surfaces with 1:1 1/2 :3 type A0 using 12.5mm stone aggregate complete all as specified and directed.

S & F structural steel framed work such as angle, channel, I beams, etc cut to shape, including bending and welding angles as necessary confirming to Fe-290, Gde E-165 as in supporting structure of valley gutters, duct covers, platforms (0 to -15m level) and capstan, ladders framed balusters, walk ways, railings, cable duct covers, lifting arrengements with pulleys, nosing angle and similar works; including making good the disturbed portion of concrete surfaces with 1:1 1/2 :3 type A0 using 12.5mm stone aggregate complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for painting of new / old steel surface of any description over 10cm width or girth and followed by application of paint scheme complete all as specified and directed. (i) One coat of primer (Dft. 1 x 50) epoxy zinc rich primer 50±5 microns (ii) 02 coats of Anti corrosive (Dft 2 x 150) (iii) 02 coats of coal tar epoxy paint Make :- Akzo Nobel/Jotun/Sigma/Asian

Demolition of cement concrete of any description not exceeding 15cm thick above or below groundfloor and removing the debries from the Dockyard (VLM jetty) premises complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour RCC M40 grade with approved Ready Mix Concrete/Design mix (RMC) with graded stone aggregate as in foundation of capstan base at -1m to -2 m level on walls, beams and columns in floors, deck slabs and the like (quoted rate inclusive of necessary farmwork) complete all as specified and directed.

S&F mild steel twisted bars 10mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape including cranking, bending complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for chipping & removal of existing damaged, crakced , spalled & loose portion of concrete of the RCC members completely till the reinforcement is exposed and sound concrete (20mm to 40mm) is observed by using mechanical means and manual chisels and further the surface is jetted with clean water for removal of dust and loose particles and complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Removing and cleaning of existing peeled off portions of RCC walls/columns/ceilings of galleries, sea side facia walls, cope point chambers etc., including chipping, wire brushing and making good the corroded/rusted reinforcement with new reinforcement for binding reinforcement as required to existing reinforcement by welding/tying with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia and gunniting the area with minimum pressure of 5 Kg./cm2 to an average thickness of 40 mm in CM (1:2) and finish the surfaces fair and even complete. Note:- Supply only reinforcement and welded wire fabric will be measured and paid separately

Material & labour for polymer modified plastering in CM 1:6, 15mm thick on fair faces of brick / concrete surafces finished even and smooth with out using extra cement and using Nitobond SBR at the rate of 3% of weight of cement complete Note:- SBR shall be measured and paid separately

Supply only Fosroc make Nitobond SBR chemical for mixing in polymer modified plastering complete all as specified and directed.

M&L writing letters or figures ( Block Roman , Italic or Indian) n.exc 30 cm high complete all as specified and directed.
