Special Repairs to Roads at CTW, Visakhapatnam

M & L for repair to Pot Holes exceeding 30 mm depth, not exceeding 1.00 Sq.m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm depth, making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sq.m, putting in putting in bituminous Premixed Asphaltic Semi Dense Concrete and again well rammed with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity and consolidated including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Preparing existing Black Top Surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 KG per 10 Sq.m of paving bitumen and laying Bituminous Premixed Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete, 40 mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen of Grade VG – 30, with 5.5% of binder content by weight of total mix using Hot Mix Plant and Mechanical Paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified. Note: Minimum Bitumen content shall be 5.5% as specified here in above. Please note that if the actual quantity of bitumen to be incorporated on approval of Mix–Design is found more than the minimum bitumen content specified above, No price adjustment shall be made for actual bitumen content of Mix–Design. Bitumen shall be Paving Bitumen of Grade VG–30 and shall be procured by the contractor.

M & L for Premixed Bituminous Macadam laid / rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber [consolidate thickness 75mm or less] using paving bitumen of Grade VG - 30 as binder with 4% by weight of total mix using Hot Mix Plant and Mechanical Paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Road Marking Strips, Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters etc of 2.5 mm thick [Reflective Type] of colour White or Golden Yellow on roads, pavements and the like exceeding 10cm wide with Hot Thermo Plast material by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine, fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heaters and profile shoe heater, driven by skilled operator on road surface complete as per MOSRT & H specifications including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Speed Bumps / Speed Breakers conforming to IRC - 67 of size 495 X 420 mm, 70 mm high the material shall be Black/Yellow coloured and UV stabilised to keep perpetually colourful, Studded with reflectors on either side for clear visibility during night hours, fixed with nails supplied with the Bumps, grouting the holes with appropriate epoxy adhesive on the road surface and Bumps complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Road Stud, Two way reflective of size 100mm X 110mm X 20 mm [Approximately], ABS body with retro reflective panel of Amber, Red or White colour complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Solar Road Studs [Bi-Directional] made of Aluminium Die cast matt finish of size 125 X 125 X 25mm [Approximately], working on High Efficiency Mono-Crystalline Solar Panel 2.4 V / 0.3 Watt, One Ni-Mh or NI-cd Rechargeable Battery [1.2V / 1600 MA] with Six Super Bright LEDs with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd [Millicandela], with a minimum Operating time of 3-4 consecutive days with full charge, viewing distance / visibility not less than 800m with 2 Hz Flash Rate, Self operated from Dusk to Dawn, anti twist ribs on the bottom anchor / shank with high intensity reflective grade polymer sticker and conforming to IS - 12063, of Colour yellow or red or blue or green or white as approved by GE complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Double Post Retro Reflective Sign Boards [Both Sides Written] of size 1200 X 600mm as per IRC 67 - 2001, Frame and Posts made up of Stainless Steel Tube, of wall thickness not less than 1.6mm, of Grade AISI 304, Standard Quality, Bright Polish finish, 50mm bore, Heavy Grade of 3.0 metre height, out of which 0.6 metre is embedded below ground level fitted with MS plate 200 X 200 X 6mm thick, embedded in PCC 1:2:4, Type A1 [using 20mm graded stone aggregate] of size 450 X 450 X 600mm, including necessary earthwork in any type of soil and removal of soil up to 50 metre, Board made up of 2mm thick aluminium sheet, face fully covered with high Intensity Prismatic [Type-IV] sheeting conforming to Type III of ASTDM-D 4956-01 as approved by GE with letters [Black, Roman, Italic or Indian] including necessary stops, commas, short lines, dashes, brackets, etc., [Number of alphabets not exceeding 30 Nos per each side], index hands [Natural size] or arrows [up to 400mm long] one number, borders, etc. as per IRC 67 - 2001 in silver/white with blue/green or any other colour back ground and with high intensity grade, pasted on substrate by pressure sensitive adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying pressure conforming to Class II ASTDM - D - 1956 - 01 and fixing same to the structural frame work by means of suitable size aluminium alloy, rivets or bolts and nuts and erecting in position complete all as specified and as directed.
