REPAIR / MAINTENANCE TO JOINT FILLING BY PU SEALANT AND GRADE B IN RUNWAY TAXI TRACK AT AFS JAMNAGAR

Note for All items of this BOQ : SITE FOR EXECUTION OF WORK :- Tenderer shall note that work shall be executed at Runway / taxi track / Tarmac & similar location. Site for execution of work will be made available to contractor on Saturday, Sunday, Holidays and non operational days or when Runway will be made available by GE / Engineer-In-charge after consultation with users, due to constant operational commitment at Jamnagar station. The contractor will have to arrange his working programme accordingly. No claim whatsoever, for not giving the entire site, on award of work and giving the site gradually will be entertained. The contractor shall consider this aspect while quoting his rates

M&L for raking out existing old sealing compound (grade B /PU Sealent) including backup rod manually without damaging the pavement) from expansion joint 25 to 30 mm wide and 35 mm deep preparing joint by cleaning, with air compressor, priming the joint as per manufacturer recommendation, placing closed cell Polyurethane backup rod to control depth of sealant in the joints and sealing the joint with pitch free Polyurethane grey sealing compound conforming.......

.......to BS-5212 (Type FB) and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied, the sealant should have MAF + 25 complete all as specified and as directed. Make of sealant - Choksey chemicals Pvt Ltd. Product - Techseal PU -2 or equivalent of make & products given in Appx 'B' to particular Specifications.

All as per item No.1.00 above but dummy / construction joints 15 to 20 mm wide and 30 mm deep.

M&L for removing damaged Armour filler board from Joints in concrete pavement & supply & fix 21 mm thick polythene foam (Armour filler board in expansion joint all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge

M&L for raking out existing old sealing compound (Manually or Mechanically as per the direction of Engr-In-Charge) from expansion joint of size 30 to 35 mm wide and 40 mm deep preparing joint by cleaning, priming the joints and filling the joints with sealing compound grade 'B' (Jet fuel resistant) bearing ISI marked (IS - 1834 - 1980) all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per Item No.5 above but for dummy / construction joints of size 20 to 25 mm wide and 30mm deep

All as per Item No.5 above but for dummy / construction joints of size 15 to 20 mm wide and 30mm deep

Note for item No.1 to 7- Utmost care shall be taken during raking out existing old sealant compound. Any minor/major increase in the width and depth of existing joint shall be repaired by the contractor at his own cost. The contractor shall consider this aspect while quoting his rate.
