Annual Maintenance Contract for Replacement of Glasses of New Terminal Building at Chandigarh International Airport Limited, Mohali side for the period of 2 years i.e. 2022-24

Replacement of Semi Unitized aluminium structural glazing on Rear side/ air side of main building consisting of 29.52mm thick D.G.U. (Outer 11.52mm thick laminated toughened Heat soaked clear glass (outer 6mm thick toughened Heat Soaked clear glass + 1.52mm thick PVB lamination + inner 4mm thick toughened Heat Soaked clear glass) + 12mm thick air gap + Inner 6mm thick toughened heat soaked clear glass) of Saint Gobain/AIS or equivalent make. The standard glass panel shall be of size of 3000mm c/c in width and 1225mm c/c in height, free from any scratch and shall be provided with protective tape on existing heavy duty aluminium extruded built up profiles. The glass to be fixed on existing transom and Mullion as per approved drawing available in the office of Engineer-In-Charge including removal of broken glass, removal of silicon sealant and refixing the new glass with all necessary structural/weather sealant, double adhesive tape, any other component etc. all complete as directed. The contractor has to make temporary arrangement for filling the glass panel using suitable ply of min thickness 12mm covered with suitable film/flex to camaflouge, as approved by Engineer In charge with all necessary supports and fixing arrangement till the replacement of glass can be done (the glass is to be replaced within 10 days of reporting breakage). The Items includes supplying, installation and fixing of 29.52 mm thick laminated toughened /HS glass on existing aluminium framing members (Mullions & Transoms), labours, tools, including supply, installation of 29.52 mm thick toughened clear glass with protective tape, cost of sealants, sleeves, spacers, protective tape, masking tape, backer rods, bolts, gasket, fixtures, excluding double stage scaffolding etc. complete in all respect as per directions and satisfaction of Engineer In-charge. (Scaffolding will be paid extra as per Item No. 15)

Supplying of Semi Unitized aluminium structural glazing on Aerolinks or any other location desired with insulated 30mm thick toughened double glass of Saint Gobain/AIS or equivalent make consisting of outer 8mm thick high performance toughened heat soaked glass on clear substrate + 16mm air gap + inner 6mm thick Heat Soaked toughened clear glass. The outer 8mm thick toughened glass shall be solar control, as well as thermal control, UV protected with high light transmission properties. The outer glass shall be heat reflective having solar control (SF- 0.20 to 0.24), U values (less than 1.4 w/sqm.k ), high light transmission (minimum 40%) with internal reflection (12% to 17%) and external reflection (13% to 20%) all complete as directed and approved by Engineer In charge. (The glass is to be replaced within 10 days of reporting breakage). The Items includes supplying, installation and fixing of 30 mm thick laminated toughened Heat soaked glass on existing aluminium framing members (Mullions & Transoms), labours, tools, including supply, installation of 30 mm thick toughened clear glass with protective tape, cost of sealants, sleeves, spacers, protective tape, masking tape, backer rods, bolts, gasket, fixtures, excluding double stage scaffolding etc. complete in all respect as per directions and satisfaction of Engineer In-charge. (Scaffolding will be paid extra as per Item No. 15).

The size of standard glass panel shall be appx .3000mm c/c in width and 1225mm c/c in height and remaining end / corner glass size shall be as per actual size at site. All glass panes shall be free from any scratch / tong marks and any other visible defects. The contractor has to make temporary arrangement for filling the glass panel using suitable ply of min thickness 12mm covered with suitable film/flex to camaflouge , as approved by Engineer In charge with all necessary supports and fixing arrangement till the replacement of glass can be done (the glass is to be replaced with in 10 days of reporting breakage).The glass to be fixed on existing transom and Mullion as per approved drawing available in the office of Engineer In Charge including removal of broken glass , removal of silicon sealant and refixing the new glass with all necessary structural/weather sealant , double adhesive tape ,any other component etc. all complete as directed . The Items includes deglazing and removal of broken glass, supplying, installation and fixing of 8 mm thick toughened Heat soaked glass on existing aluminium framing members (Mullions & Transoms), labours, tools, lifting machines/ cranes etc. including supply, installation of 8mm thick toughened heat soaked clear glass with protective tape, cost of sealants, sleeves, spacers, protective tape, masking tape, backer rods, bolts, gasket, fixtures etc. complete in all respect.

(Scaffolding will be paid extra as per Item No. 15)

Replacement of glass for internal partition glazing system of height up to 4.5meter in the aluminium frame partitions with 12.0mm thick toughened clear glass of Saint Gobain/AIS or equivalent make as per existing system including filling up all necessary gaps at junctions, at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM gasket (as per approved sample) i.e. EPDM gaskets shall be inserted between aluminium frames and beading for glass, as well as from inside and outside around the periphery of the glass to make the glazing air and water tight. The work is including removal of broken glass, beading and refixing the new glass with all necessary screws, gaskets etc. or any other component etc. all complete as directed . The contractor has to make temporary arrangement for filling the glass panel using suitable ply of min thickness 12mm covered with suitable film/flex to camaflouge, as approved by Engineer In charge with all necessary supports and fixing arrangement till the replacement of glass can be done. The work inclusive of above operation at all heights including scaffolding etc. all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. Items cost includes supplying and fixing 12mm thick toughened clear glass, Refixing of available aluminium beading with hardware, EPDM gaskets, Labours, tools, including cost of sealants, brackets, anchor fasteners, s.s. screws, masking tape, protective tape, backer rods, excluding scaffolding complete in all respect as per directions and satisfaction of Engineer In-charge. (Scaffolding will be paid extra as per Item No. 15)

Replacement of glass in position in all heights high semi unitized structural glazing around LIFTS and Roof of Air Lock lobbies and Internal partitions and inside the building with 13.52mm thick laminated toughened clear glass of Saint Gobain/AIS or equivalent make inside the building as per approved drawing available in the office of Engineer In charge. The outer pane shall be 6mm thick toughened/HS clear glass + 1.52mm thick PVB lamination + inner 6mm thick toughened/HS clear glass. The contractor has to make temporary arrangement for filling the glass panel using suitable ply of min thickness 12mm covered with suitable film/flex to camaflouge , as approved by Engineer In charge with all necessary supports and fixing arrangement till the replacement of glass can be done (the glass is to be replaced within 7 days of reporting breakage).Items includes supplying, Installation and fixing of 13.52mm laminated toughened clear glasses on existing aluminium frame work fixed to steel structure, Labours, tools etc. including cost of weather sealants, aluminium channel, screws with pvc fillets, masking tape, protective tape, backer rods, bolts, gasket, M.S brackets, excluding scaffolding to complete glazing in all respect as per directions and satisfaction of Engineer In-charge. (Scaffolding will be paid extra as per Item No. 15)

Replacement of glass for semi unitized structural glazing around Air Lock lobbies vertical walls inside the building with 12mm thick toughened clear glass of Saint Gobain/AIS or equivalent make in the building in the available frame work of aluminium. The contractor has to make temporary arrangement for filling the glass panel using suitable ply of min thickness 12mm covered with suitable film/flex to camaflouge , as approved by Engineer In charge with all necessary supports and fixing arrangement till the replacement of glass can be done (the glass is to be replaced within 7 days of reporting breakage) .Items includes supplying, Installation and fixing of toughened clear glasses in the existing frame work fixed to steel structure, Labours, tools etc. including cost of weather sealants, aluminium channel (if required ), screws with PVC fillets, masking tape, protective tape, backer rods, bolts, gasket, M.S brackets, excluding scaffolding to complete glazing in all respect as per directions and satisfaction of Engineer In-charge. (Scaffolding will be paid extra as per Item No. 15)

Providing and fixing 6mm thick Back painted machine cut Lacquered glass Almond green of make Saint Gobain or approved equivalent in required size & shape and colour of approved make on the wall lining/cladding fixed over the existing 12mm thick MR grade Ply board(century /greenply/merino/or approved equivalent ) with the help of structural silicone ( GE WINSEL-20/Dow Corning-789 ) ,The glass should beveled edged at the corners /junctions to avoid any sharp edge in the glass) ( Sample of glass and fixing details shall be got approved before execution from Engineer-in- charge). All complete as per directions and satisfaction of Engineer In-charge. (Scaffolding will be paid extra as per Item No. 15)

Providing and fixing 10mm thick toughened clear glass with manual sliding door system including all necessary component i.e. slide rail at top, track roller, stopper at top & guide rail at bottom along with a pair of SS handles all complete as per site conditions. The glass system is to be fixed with existing MS supporting member as direction & satisfaction by Engineer In Charge.

Providing and fixing 12 mm thick frameless toughened glass door shutter of approved brand and manufacture including providing and fixing top & bottom pivot & spring type fixing arrangements, locking arrangement, pair of SS handles complete with making necessary holes etc. required for fixing required door fittings as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing of glass door lock of approved quality of make (Dorma /Yale/Ozone or equivalent) at the centre of the glass door including making necessary cut in door frame all complete as directed by the engineer In Charge as per satisfaction of E.I.C. (a) Single door lock

Providing and fixing aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators and partitions with extruded built up standard tubular sections/ appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / paneling, C.P. brass / stainless steel screws, all complete as per architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-charge. (Glazing, paneling and dash fasteners to be paid for separately) (a) For fixed portion

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter .The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.
