Removal of Rubber deposits from runway surface using Water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total rubber deposits are removed from runway both (rigid and flexible) surfaces by the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & no damage to the existing surface all as directed.

NOTES: (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator (ii) Total rubber deposit should be removed and the Debris / Water to be vacuumed simultaneously leaving No FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) The Machine make to be deployed for Runway Rubber Removal should have E-In-C approval eg SH8000, SH5000, Sk3000. (iv) Rubber deposit Debris should be in solid form when finally disposed. (v) In any emergency condition the machine should exit from the runway in less than 30 minutes without leaving FOD. (vi) Friction Test should be carried out before & after Rubber deposit removal operation. (viii) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the runway, the friction reading of the rubber removed segment should be minimum 0.55 µ.

M&L for Preparing of old/new black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with using air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc complete and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME 0.89 lit per Sqm (undiluted) for two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME :WATER) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runway complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and all as specified and as directed.

Notes-(A): The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for this item :- (a) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO Standard. (b) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturer only. (c) Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer’s instructions. (d) A performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. (e) Application of PME shall be done by flooding and wiping in both first coat and second coat with the help of wiper or as directed by the manufacturer. (f) Application of PME shall be done under the supervision of manufacturer's technical experts. NOTE-(B) : Conducting of following tests over Flexible portion of Runway surfaces before and after application of PME by Govt approved lab / by the technical experts of PME manufacturer as directed by GE : (c) Skid resistance (Dry and Wet condition) in every 5000 sqm area NOTE- (C): PME required more/less than 0.89 lit/sqm (undiluted) during execution of works shall be adjusted in supply only rate.

Two or more quotes on a new work over and under coat of suitable Shade ( Airfield Marking by Road paint with IS: 164 of approved class white or golden yellow or any tint water based exc. 10 cm width complete complete all as specified and directed. (Note: Painting shall be done by runway painting machine)

(Note: Painting shall be done by runway painting machine)

Excavation over areas n.exc.1.50 mtr deep and getting out, in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified & directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance exc 1.5 KM but n.exc. 5 KM and depositing where directed at a level nexc. 1.5 M above the starting point complete all as specified & directed. (Note:-Excavated material shall be removed from site after dumped & stacked as per direction of Engr-in-Charge before being taken away by contractor outside defence land)

M&L coarse sand single sized (2.36 mm) may defined as 100% passing 4.7 mm sieve and 100% retained on 1.18 mm sieve, filling under floors such as SGAs, including leveling, watering, consolidation and it is ploughed with furrows all as specified and directed.

Notes:- (i) Coarse sand brought by contractor for laying end of PTT shall be sieved before execution of work and laid appox 1 KM away from site as per direction of Engr-in-Charge (ii) Sieved sand shall only be laid in SGA, unit rate shall be quoted accordingly

NOTE FOR ALL ITEMS

(I) All works to be executed inside technical area . The site for the work will be available in piece meal and also may be in non flying days. No claim for non availability of site in every working days will be entertained. Contractor shall quote his rates considering the above bottlenecks.

(ii) Contractor has to execute the work after working hours, on sundays and holidays without any additional cost. The quoted rate of items deemed to be included and nothing extra will be admissible on this account
