Inside the Tunnel:- To attend leakage of de-silting pipe of 450mm dia at Mehrar Adit at charged pressure condition,if the service valve didn't operate, then removing of rusted clamp from the leaked portion, scraping up of rusted portion, epoxy paint with 2 coat zinc primer and than cascading that portion with 6mm thick, 485mm I.D. and 1250 mm long M.S. sheet in 2 peices, expoxy painted from both side and finally welding these over the leaked pipe line through welding. Outside the Tunnel:- Secondly, to the attend leakage of same pipe line outside the tunnel at saddle support No 5, after chiseling down the saddle support and then welding of the leaked portion and finally expoxy coating to prevent further corosion. Addition things to be taken care:- This pipe line is directly connected to the H.R.T. of the Disc Valve, which is technically very critical as the line and valve are nearlly 43 years Old and needed high expertise to attend this problem. Secondly, the location is remote and with high voltage dropon 3phase A.C. supply, so the contractor must come prepared with portable D.G set, Gass cutting equipement and portable welding machine that can be operated on single, two or three phase as per the site requirement.
