The water treatment plant shall include the construction of Approach road, Inlet Chamber, Inlet Channel and Pashal Flume, Prestling Tank, Flash Mixture Unit, Floculator, Settling Tank, Rapid Sand Gravity Filter, Back Wash System, Clear Water Tank, Plant Building, Pump house, Gaseous chlorination, Laboratory with equipments, WC toilet and provision for Barbed wire fencing complete, plant building (for chemical store cum dosing room, water testing laboratory cum attendant room and toilet with septic tanks), piping, valves, mechanical/electric equipment, electric wiring and panel boards, sanitation, interconnecting path, railing site development upto a minimum of 3 meters from edge of battery limit of plant, retaining and breast walls including pump house above 50 HP 1st stage, fencing and compound gate complete in all respects. | 1 | Job | - | - |
| 1.01Note :- (1). The Lump-Sum Price bid of the contractor shall consist of following three parts. (a). Cost of WTP component including pump house cum WC toilet with septic tanks mechanical/electrical works (excluding site development) (b). Cost of site development work including R/wall, B/wall etc. (c ). C/O Cost of fencing work (d). Cost of Gaseous Chlorination. (e) C/O Approach roadh for WTP. ( f). Total Cost = ( a+b+c+d+e). (2). The detailed design parameters /specification and conditions shall be as per detailed design parameters. (3). The contractor/ firm shall propose the layout of WTP units in such a manner that the cost of site development is minimum. Terms and Condition:- The firm shall submit the detailed hydraulic and structural design and drawing for each component of treatment plant which shall be approved by the department before the work is started. Before submitting the hydraulic as well as structural design and drawing for approval by the department it should be duly vetted from any of institution mentioned below:- (ii) Any of IIT/NIT (iii) Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh. (iv) Bearing capacity of soil for WTP shall be tested by the firm / tenderer and shall be included in quoted rates. The test report shall be submitted with design of structures. | |||||
| 1.02The design/ drawing of mechanical/ electrical equipment and wiring etc. along with manufacture’s specification/design also be submitted for approval of the department after vetting. In design and drawings the contractor/ firm shall submit the design calculations clearly indicating various formulae used and reference of books IS codes thereto. The contractors/ firms shall also supply software copy.(CD) of design calculation along with basic data used in the design so as to facilitate the quick checking/approval of the same. On the completion of all civil mechanical and electrical works, the contractor shall test/run the plant for 90 days before handing over the same to the department at the risk and cost of the contractor, however, electrical charges shall be borne by the department. | |||||
| 1.03During this period the contractor shall run the plant of full rated capacity and produce the results as per the CPHEEO standards and ISI codes in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge or his representative. During this period , the daily testing of raw water and treated water samples shall be done. Complete record of the test results and the flow measurement shall be kept during this period. If the performance of various units of the treatment plant is as specified in the CPHEEO Manual the plant shall be formally taken over by the department, otherwise the contactor shall make necessary changes/ repair to improve the efficiency of the units/plant. The contractor/ firm shall run and maintain the plant for further 90 days after handing over the plant to the department. During this period the firm shall depute at least one trained person to train the departmental persons in operating, maintaining the plant and regular testing of the raw water and treated water samples in the laboratory for the same period shall be done. During this period. Only energy charges shall be borne by the department. The contractor/ firm shall be responsible for any break down of the machinery/ equipment and shall have to repair all the fault/defects as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Out of 90 days one month should preferably be Monsoon to test the plant for heavy silt loads. | |||||
