M & L 16 to 18 mm thick granite (of any type) work (table rubbed and polished) in steps, jambs, pillars, window cills, cooking platforms and like in cement mortar (1:4) including pointing in white cement (1:2) using marble dust with admixture of pigment to match with shade of granite over and including 15mm thick rendering in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M & L machine cut kota stone slab flooring 18 to 22 mm thick of size not less than 550mm x 550mm in floor, set and jointed in neat cement slurry with grey cement mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab including rubbing and polishing (granite finish) over and including 15 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for providing cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in lintels upto 1.5m clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L providing 75 mm thick cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregates as in plinth protection laid in alternate bays (n exc 2 Sqm each ) and finished even and smooth without using extra cement and providing joints throughout the thickness of the plinth protection filled with mastic filling comprising one part of bitumen 85/25 grade and three parts of sand by weight including form work complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L taking down cement or cement lime plaster of any description on brick or stone walls etc including racking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L light shade vitrified ceramic tiles 1st quality 10mm thick (square/rectangular) polished, area of each tile exceeding 0.42 sqm and not exceeding 1.00 sqm, in floors etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match laid over and including 15mm cement screed bed in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L glazed ceramic coloured tiles joint free 1st quality in vertical surfaces/skirtings/dados of size 450x350x7mm thick or nearest size as availabe in the market , set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement mixed with pigment to match over and including 10mm thick rendering on fair faces of brick / concrete surfaces in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for cutting of tree from wall or roof of building n.exc 10 cm girth, taking out tree trunk portion incluidng roots completely from wall/roof, digging out roof and making good disturbed surface with brick work in cement mortar 1:4 or filling PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggegate to match the surface as per eixsting complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M &L 10mm thick coloured paver tiles (Endura Tiles) of size 300 x 300mm in floors etc set and jointed in neat cment slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match over and including 15mm thick screed bed in C.M 1 :4 ,complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L light shade vitrified ceramic tiles 1st quality 10mm thick (square/rectangular) polished, area of each tile exceeding 0.42 sqm and not exceeding 1.00 sqm, in skirting etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match laid over and including 10 mm thick rendering in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L 25mm thick cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregates as in sub base of floor and finished even and fair to receive tiles etc. complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L rough cast plaster complete as specified in SSR Part-I, clause 14.22 shall consisting of following:- firstly apply under coat in cement mortar 1:3 not less than 10 mm thick and while still it is in plastic state the rough cast mixture consisting of crushed stone or fine gravel agg. which is generally of size between 6 to 12 mm depending on texture required mixed with coarse sand and cement in the ratio 1:1:1 shall be applied, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L factory made 35 mm thick 2nd class hard wood glazed and skeleton shutters,open rebated and prepared to receive glass , gauze etc. (without sash bars) ,edges of framing plain chamfered or rounded , fitted with cut and mitred beads for securing glass etc size of members of shutters as specified in SSR Part-I, Section-8, clause 8.24 (a) (wood shall be seasoned and chemically pressure treated) complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L factory made 2nd class hard wood 35 mm thick plain framed panelled shutter( two panel) with lock rail and panel of 9 mm BWP commercial ply or 12 mm veneered particle board with commercial veneering on boths face . The size of rail and style as per IS:1003 (Part-1) kiln seasoned and chemically pressure treated complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L rolled mild steel framed work as in chowkats of door or gates of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails braces etc. complete drilled for fixing for steel sheeting or other covering doors, etc to be prepared for hanging or sliding with and including either hooks and hinges and hanging ,door fitting (exclusive of steel sheeting or other covering, running rails and guides) also fastening and fixing conforming to Fe-410-W (Gde E-250) quality 'A' complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S & F Mild steel, plain, black sheet 0.63mm thick in hearths, covering to door shutters, covering to door chowkats (frames), chullah hoods, water tanks, water troughs, ducts, urinal troughs and funnels, etc. cut to size edges beaded if directed,holes punched, including round headed screws, clout nails or rivets and fixed to wood or steel members, etc.with plain 40 mm lap joints or welded/riveted seams including bending, turning up, mitred angles, stopped ends, outlets, etc. as required complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

S&F mild steel 150 mm ordinary rat tail rod pattern springs including roller and roller plate etc complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F wire netting of stainless steel wire 0.71mm dia, size of mesh 20mm fixed with tinned tacks of stainless steel wire staples complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S & F Factory made solid panel PVC door shutter 30 mm thick (style) consisting of frame made out of M. S. tubes for top & bottom rails. M. S. frame shall be covered with heat moulded plain colour PVC `C` channel having a PVC sheet strip of 20mm width stuck inside with solvent cement for stiles and plain colour PVC sheets for top rail, lock rail & bottom rail on either side & as gap insert for top rail & bottom rail; Panelling of plain colour PVC sheet to be fitted in the M. S. frame welded/sealed to the stiles & rails with suitable PVC sheet beading, and joined together with solvent cement, suppling & fixing in the frame at site as per specification & drawing complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S & F solid PVC door frame of size 50mm x 47mm made out of 5mm plain colour PVC sheet reinforced with MS square tube, and fixed in opening complete all as shown on drg/specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L as in repair 18 mm thick MDF board prelaminated exterier grade (grade-1) confirming IS 14587 prelaminated on one side with decorative choice lamination and other side balancing white lamination , fixed with nails for kitchen cupboard and cabinet ,shelves for cupboard , frame with door if required including 3mm thick 2nd class hardwood leeping patti on cut edge of boards complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L sheet glass 3.0mm thick ordinary and glazing with oil putty in square n exc 0.5 sq m in each pane complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

Hacking out old broken glass (any thickness, size, quality or description) from wooden frames or stone, concrete or brick surrounds and steel window frame glazed with putty or fixed with beads complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L as in repair rough cast wired sheet glass 6.4mm thick and glazing with oil putty in square n exc 0.5 sqm in each pane complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M&L for running welding for repairs/ replacement of small fittings such as butt hinges/ tower bolts/ handles etc of steel window/pressed steel door frames including taking down of shuuter & refixing in the same opening and making good dismantled portion in cement mortar 1:3 or cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B-1 & finished to match the existing finish as required complete all as specified & directed Note :- work will be carried out as required and in case iron mongery to be replaced, the same shall be measured and paid for separately under respective items. (ii) Rate should incl T&P required for repair to make good the shutter all as directed.

M&L preparation of new wooden surfaces of any description, not otherwise described, over 10 cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of pink primer complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing steel window box type using ERW hollow 'P' section comprising double frame for and including gauged and glazed skelton shutter 30mm thick, jointed internally with flat iron 25x3mm complete including hinges, handle, tower bolts, stops, lugs, guard bars and painting etc. all as shown on drawing No. TD-219 sheet 1/3 to 3/3 and TD-220 sheet 1/3 to 3/3 as applicable complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge. Note: (i) For the purpose of measurement and payment double shutter both glazed and gauzed with frames shall be considered as one unit. (ii) Unit rate quoted against this item shall also include the iron mongery and grill fabricated from 10mm square MS bar as shown on drgs. (iii) Glazing, wire mesh shall be measured and paid for separately.

Note:- (a) The water proofing treatment shall be carried out by manufacturer or his authorized applicators in terms of clause 11.43 of MES Sch Part-'I' (2009) (b) The quoted rate of this item shall be deemed to includ the cost of taking down of old unserviceable membraine if exist at site.
