SPECIAL REPAIRS OF PERIMETER AND INTERIOR ROADS AT AF STN RAMGARH UNDER GE (AF) JAISALMER

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm and depth exc. 50 mm and not exc 100mm deep etc complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- This item shall be applicable in existing road to be provided with SDAC.

M&L for 100mm spread thickness Moorum/Red Bajri obtained from MD Land spread, rolled and consolidated to required camber and gradient complete with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 75mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM with coarse aggregate of sand stone, flint or quartzite of grading-2 (63mm to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50mm to 20mm size), blinded with stone screening materals type "A", spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No. 4.0 here-in- before but except materials.

M & L for premix bituminous macadam (Consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen (VG-30) 4% by weight of total mix, spread, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) In case the binder contents by weight of total mix is less than 4% as per actual design mix, the price adjustment shall be made as per average rates of all paid voucher for bitumen pertaining to this work. If the total binder contents as per design mix is more than 4%, no price adjustment shall be made for the same. (ii) Job mix formula for premix bituminous macadam shall be obtained from the institutions specified in CA prior to commencement of work and shall be got approved from the GE.

M&L for preparing unsurfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags or Air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer of grade VG10 at the rate of 7.50 Kg per 10sqm on unsurfaced WBM surfaces etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags or Air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer of grade VG10 at the rate of 5 Kg per 10sqm on existing black top surfaces etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 30mm consolidated thickness Bituminous Premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) using paving bitumen VG-30 with 5.5 % binder by weight of total mix Rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) In case the binder contents by weight of total mix is less than 5.5% as per actual design mix, the price adjustment shall be made as per average rates of all paid voucher for bitumen pertaining to this work. If the total binder contents as per design mix is more than 5.5%, no price adjustment shall be made for the same. (ii) Job mix formula for Semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be obtained from the institutions specified in CA prior to commencement of work and shall be got approved from the GE.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2mm thick centre lines, stops lines, dashes, arrows, etc and the like exceeding 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo platic road marking paint with glass breads in white or yellow colour conforming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturer's instructions etc complete all as specified and directed.
