2. Note:- (i) Contractor has to submit detailed construction drawings of lifts being provided with complete technical specifications as per IS:14665 before dispatch of material from OEM for approval of GE (ii) The lift shall be installed in replacement in existing lift well therefore contractor is advised to visit site for the size of car door, floor travelling height and left hand/right hand side wall space, existing head room height and pit size before quoting the rates. (iii) The scope of work also covered the civil work comprising cutting of holes and making good the surfaces, car and counter weight, guide rails and bracket , terminals buffers supports and sill angle, plates and any other items required for successful completion of lift with respect to safely required by the OEM, will be carried out by the contractor without any extra cost. (iv) The contractor shall be responsible for 2 years defect liability period from certified date of completion of GE. During the said defect liability period the lift shall be kept functional/serviceable all the time & all consumable items shall be provided by contractor for operation & maintenance of lift. All periodical maintenance regular check up/inspection should be carried out OEM during 02 years defect liability period in addition to regular checkups and periodical services special visit/inspection will also be carried to rectify defects by representative of OEM if any emergency / trouble developed. An agreement will be made between contractor & OEM and this shall be submitted to GE on the date of handing over to lift (date of completion) for the comprehensive maintenance of defect liability period. The cost of above shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (v) The provision of suitable steel structure/platform for installation of lifts equipment is part of lift items and nothing extra shall be paid. (vi) If any clearance is required to seek from state Govt i.e. from lift inspector or electrical safety department or fire safety department is the constractor's responsibility & any expenditure on this account shall deemed to be included in the quoted unit rates.
Dismantling of Old unserviceable lift complete with panel board by disconnecting electrical connection etc including all accessories and depositing the same in MES store yard all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
