REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF DG SET, AMF PANELS AND CONNECTED WORKS AT DOMESTIC AREA AND OUTSIDE LOCATIONS UNDER GE (AF) JAMNAGAR NO 1

Maintenance and servicing of 400 KVA DG set of any make Diesel Generator Sets including connected Alternator, Panel Board (AMF/ Non AMF) and carrying out routine 'A' check of the engine complete for smooth functioning all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed-02 Nos NOTES: (i) Control switches such as MCCB, Main switch, contactors, multi display meter and engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall exclusive of servicing/ maintenance of the above said fittings.

(ii) Servicing of DG Set along with connected Alternator and Panel Board including 'A' Check of the Engine shall be carried out once in every month (Except during the month when 'B' check is carried out) as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance works as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs. (iii) Spare parts required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item.

(iv) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (v) List of checks to be carried out under 'A' check is attached as Appendix 'A' to the Particular specifications.

(ii) 'B' check shall be carried out once in every six months or 250 hours of running of DG Set whichever is earlier. Servicing of DG Set along with connected Alternator and Panel Board including items covered in 'A' Check of the Engine shall also be carried out in that month as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance works as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs (iii) Spare parts, engine oil and radiator coolant oil required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately as supply & fix.

(iv) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item,contractor to be provided fuel filter, oil filter, water filter,top head gaskets,fuel pipes, battery terminal & battery lead. (v) List of checks to be carried out under 'B' check is attached as Appendix 'B' to the Particular specifications.

NOTE:-(i) Item No. 1 to 111 if any DG set and connected items becomes breakdown ,the contractor shall locate the problem/Fault at site within 12 hours on intimation by JE/Engineer-in-charge and ensure that the fault and rectified within 48 hours ,failing which an amount of Rs.200/- per hour will be recovered as penal recovery from any payment due to contractor after expiry of 48 hours.
