M&L for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire bruses for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical blower to remove all loose dirt and applying evenly a priming /tack coat using paving bitumen VG-30 @ 5 kg per 10 sqm over black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thicknes using 5.5% paving bitumen content (VG-30) and minimum 2% cement as filler by weight of total weight of mix, using hot mix plant and laid with self propelled mechanical paver fixed with electronic sensor and hydraulic controls, rolled and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to uniform surfaces with required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note: - Semi Dense asphaltic bituminous concrete shall be designed as specified and binder content shall be provided as per design mix. The contractor shall quote his unit rate considering the bitumen content as 5.5%. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted at the rate of Rs.50.00 per kg of binder. No adjustment in price shall be made if the variation is on plus side.

Material and labour for premix bituminous, macadam laid/ rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber using 8 to 10 tonne power roller (consolidated average thickness 75 mm or less) using binder content paving bitumen of grade VG-30 of 4% by weight of total mix all as specified and as directed. Note:-(i) Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ of Rs 50.00 per kg of binder. No adjustment in price shall be made if the variation is on plus side. (ii) The bituminious mix shall be prepared in hot mix plant and transported to the site in clean vehicle and shall be laid by means of a self-propelled mechanical paver finisher with electronic sensor and hydraulic controls all as directed.

M&L for repairs to potholes of depth not exc 50mm and not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 10 kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen of grade VG- 30, putting in premixed bituminous semi dence asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness as per item No 3 here in before, rolled and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to uniform surfaces by using paving bitumen of grade VG- 30, complete all as specified and as directed.

Prepartion of new or previously untreated bituminous surfaces of taxi track etc. over 10 cm girth or width, and painting lines, curves,dashes, arrows, letters etc. with two coats of road marking paint white or yellow over a coat of primer, complete all as specified and as directed.
